Could we have a Forum topic - for people to interact with, and support Israeli believers and the jewish diaspora? There is an Arab forum presumably for Arab believers. Or could we have a thread for Jewish and Arab believers who live in Israel. Ephesian 2 states that there is now ONE NEW MAN - jews and gentiles, but I feel it is important to support believers in that part of the world who are caught up in the middle of huge global controversy. Many believers worldwide see Israel as the focus of particular attack as the bible predicts that will be the place to which the Messiah will return. I am not proposing to start a discussion as such, but more to serve our brothers and sisters in that part of the world, jew and arab, either on separate threads or both together, and pray for them, love them and support them, AS WELL AS former Muslims in places of persecution and current Muslims who are seeking the truth and/or encouragement and support. BUT above all, NOT a place to have intellectual arguments and start controversy but to serve one another in love. Any comments?

There are very few Jewish and/ or Arab believers here.. But anyway, maybe the Prayers forum would be the best place to start a support thread. :)

New forum options are created more on need, than suggestions. The site is purposeful on keeping the number of options minimal.
Also if you're posting Anywhere debate is always an option. Period. There are no debate free places on the site. Some are simply less prone to it.
That may be more suited for a thread topic than a thread. But Expect arguments. And potentially nasty ones at that, as that sounds like it wouod draw a lot of the BDF users.

UKChris,
your thread is a little sketchy for hub and me, are you talking about 'tribes'?
a little vague on your own personal, preference-s side-views -
what is the intention of 'support'? -
ALL of the 'called-elect-chosen' support their brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus...

Hi, good point. What I have been noticing is what the controversy around the Israel/jewish / Palestinian/Arab question is the effect it has on the Body of Christ which is ONE in the spirit through the redeeming work of the Cross. There are a lot of strong feelings around partly, I believe, because of the spiritual warfare behind this issue for various reasons (I won't go into here), but believers in the jewish Messiah, Jesus/Yeshua - same person are being pulled in different directions like a tug of war and it is affecting the unity and oneness of the Body which Jesus said would be the sign to the world that God had sent Him - when they see the love. THEREFORE, based on the clear teaching of Ephesians 2 that there is now ONE NEW MAN ie, jew and gentile together in Messiah, I was wondering whether it would be worth having a thread to encourage and support Israeli and jewish believers living in Israel (or even elsewhere) or not only suffer persecution from fellow jews, but additional harassment merely because they ARE jews. A lot of jews are fearful of christians for reasons (I won't elaborate on right now) which have become a stumbling block to their receiving their own jewish Messiah, and personally I am horrified at the anti-semitic (which actually includes Arabs as semites as well) attitudes within the church in various guises which is partly rooted in false teaching going way back to the early church. I feel our Israeli brothers and sisters need to know that they are accepted and loved as fellow believers and as jews called to live where they are, and that we do not view them as hostile aggressors and occupants in the land that God has given them and God is a covenant-keeping God. In this way we can do our part to heal divisions in the Body and be a witness. Perhaps the thread should be called ONE NEW MAN, its purpose to seek to bring together Israeli believers and support them in prayer as they suffer much hostility from the Talmud-believing Orthodox jews. A safe place to pray for, listen to and ask questions to promote understanding of different positions, around jewish/arab issues from our oneness in Messiah. Also, from that place to be a faithful witness to jewish/muslim enquirers who hold to religion rather than Jesus. Ok, I am thinking this through as I type - I think that's basically it, although it may evolve. In a phrase: to promote healing of racist and political divisions in the Body of Christ and to promote unity in the Body.

it is obvious as you have stated, there is and always' has been 'division' among those that name themselves Christians =
here, in the usa, we have a plethora of denominations with different 'beliefs', into the thousands!
can any one 'change' a catholic into a Methodist or a morman into a Baptist???
the point is, this is an anti-Biblical concept to begin with, meaning 'so MANY DIFFERENT belief systems,
contrary to 'one-another', yet, 'naming The Name of Jesus Christ', what 'hog-wash'...
the Scripture plainly says, '
1COR. 1:10.
Now I beseech you, BRETHREN, by The Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing,
and that there be no divisions among you; but that you be (perfectly joined together)
(in the same mind and in the same Judgment).

if we 'cannot set our own 'national-house' in order, how can we set 'another country's house in order)???
but, as it is written:
'Walk before Me and be perfect'... - if we can do this, God will for sure send us further Holy instructions...

Yep, hog-wash indeed! It came to me the other day that where "leaders" are, (perhaps because they don't know any better or don't realise it) in effect becoming the Mediator between a person/persons and God, and ursurping the role of Christ and His representative on earth - the Holy Spirit, they are in fact beheading the Body, and a headless body is - well, dead - or it is not the Body of Christ. And then a lot of people function in man-made, unbiblical systems putting Man in the place that belongs only to the Lordship of Christ himself as High Priest and think they are supposed to be, or are content to be led by Man rather than Spirit-led. I have observed, having been ill for many years, and unable to do the "go to church" thing, that many of these situations that are not planted by our Heavenly Father are, in fact, causing schism in the Body and promoting divisive and unbiblical attitudes between believers, rather than furthering the cause of Christ in truth! Either because of false teaching that is not challenged because of the intimidation caused by unbiblical hierarchies - Jesus said don't lord it over one another - and non-biblical authority structures. There is so much human control and believers have become conditioned by the doctrines and traditions of man over centuries. Do not the first few chapters of 1 Corinthians talk about this very thing? But I also see that the Lord is reshaping His people to become vessels for the new wine He is pouring out, to contain His glory, and bringing His people together in new ways for His purposes, and bypassing the old structures which are needing to be pruned now, as we enter a new season of the Spirit. That is what is being discerned here in the UK. I think we will face a choice to return to the old ways (the old wine was better) or to embrace what God wants to do now - to be led by His spirit. Part of His maturing the Body, I think. We won't be able to function in the ways we used to, if we are to fulfill what He is calling us to do and to be now. ..... that's all for now. Bless you. Take care.

Obviously, financial support would be the most needed. The Bible teaches that we should take care of the strangers' physical needs, and then they will receive the gospel message. I think another truth we should be contending with is that God is waiting for ALL believers to reach out in a substantial way and help those whose life has been destroyed by this pandemic, especially those who have no jobs, no home, and children. If every single believer in our country were to do something GRAND and help put someone's life back together, we wouldn't have to depend on our broken politicians. This pandemic is from God, and therefor it will be used for His Glory. As Jesus instructed His disciples, we are to love one another AS He Loved Us, and gave His life for us. Since Jesus gave His all, we really need to examine to what lengths we are willing to go to save one of our destitute brothers or sisters. I sincerely believe that this is what God has set before us- the opportunity to be good and faithful servants.

Yes, I believe God is using this pandemic to mature His people and change the shape of "church" as we know it; for His children to "come into their own" in Christ and step into the calling He has been shaping many of us for years, according to our maturity, gifts and skills; and to disciple those after us. Do "Home Hubs" in neighbourhoods resonate with anyone else? Visibility in our streets, or online ministries to reach out and support with teaching and prophetic leadership, foundational leadership..... the gospel, etc, etc. Not to mention online giving to this and that as each feels led. Yes, just because we have no "buildings" to meet in, the people of God are certainly on the march through this wilderness of "never been here before" to our promised destination.....
