Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Rom 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
Rom 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Led of the Spirit, and led of the flesh.
The flesh will fail at keeping the law for there is no good thing that dwells in the flesh, and cannot abstain from sin, and will not accept the truth unless God intervenes in their life when He called them.
A person led by the Spirit will abstain from sin for they will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh, for they have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts, and show the ways of the Spirit, and not the flesh.
Therefore a Spirit led life is not under the law, for their sins are forgiven and they are abstaining from sins, therefore the law cannot touch them for prosecution.
When a person that has been saved sins they forfeit repentance, and are led of the flesh, and back under the law, until they repent of the sin and get rid of it, and turn away from the sin, and mean it, and then they are led of the Spirit and not under the law.
Only those led of the Spirit are not under the law not people that confess Christ but are hypocritical, which they have a form of godliness, but deny the power thereof.
