A discussion of the nearness of the endtimes

When we are "changed" there is a duplicate created one for the spirit and one for the flesh. I differentiate between the soul and spirit as does the old testament. The new testament does not differentiate between our soul and our spirit. Our soul in this context is our emotional state of being separate and distinct from our mind and body and our spirit comes from God.

When we are "changed" we will know that there are two of us but we don't necessarily get "raptured" at the same time that we are "changed". When our spirit gets "raptured" is when we leave our fleshly body behind and we may not know what our fleshly body is doing because we are with the spiritual body.

Hey Blain.. I am by far no expert on this lol. Allot was written (OT) about Israel when she was not a nation. So when Israel became a nation in a day as its written and we see Israel blooming. Israel is the time piece. Are we not the generation that seen all this? We've seen all kind of earthquakes storms what not.. but never all at once. Caught up.. nice fun at times to debate it but in the end it comes down to "speculation" something God never does. We have the word that would seem has reached every nation of this blue ball..

He will appear in the air dead rise.. we which remain go up to be with the lord forever. No where in that does the whole world see Him. And I do not believe there is anything that HAS to happen for the catching up to take place. WHEN you ask? No clue.. so me.. I am ready now.. always looking up. So I believe any moment.

I will say this.. the Father controls time. So He can make this last one more min or another 30 years and still be right inline with the word.

Not to stir the pot as most of you know how much that bothers me but as for the rapture tribulation and the end times in general how near do you really think it is? Granted I know there is mass diversity of the timing of the rapture and the book of revelkations unfolding but lets say for the topic of discussion that say the rapture was to be the first thing to happen since most of us already believe we have been in the end times since Jesus rose from the dead.


How close do you think it could actually be? what signs might point to this and what scripture and evidence could possibly prove this?
And for everyone who doesn't believe in the pretrib rapture what do you think is next? how close might it be and what signs evidence and scriptures might help to prove this? The way the world is going I think it is wise to pay attention to the book of revelations more than ever and while I pray this doesn't turn into a blood shed debate I hope we can discuss things and look at different points of views together learn and grow and maybe even be more aware of these times than before.

No offense but I have never heard of or seen this idea before. in both time when people were taken to heaven their bodies themselves rose and were never seen again

yes, our body will rise as well but we will leave another body behind as indicated in my previous post because we are changed into two.

When the first ATM's came out, I knew that this was relevant to the coming mark. Then came the Universal produce Code (UPC), followed by the Point of Sale (POS) system, where you swipe your credit or debit cards. Following that came the RFID chip technology where people are having them inserted between the skin of their thumbs and index finger, for the purpose of gaining building access, security, accessing company machines and for making food purchases.

The technology for the mark of the beast was not going to just suddenly appear, but had to come into being and has been evolving for some time now as electronic crediting and debiting i.e. buying and selling. When money goes into your account it is an electronic credit and when money comes out of your account it debits your account. We see this technology everywhere. When we go into the grocery stores, people get out their cards to pay for their purchase electronically buying. People don't even recognize what this technology is or what it is ultimately going to be used for.

As we continue to move into the future, the mark technology will continue to evolve. Currently it is an RFID chip, but I'm positive that will evolve into something more applicable. What will remain consistent is that this device for buying and selling will ultimately be located on the hand or the forehead. The video below is not Christian based. Charlie Warzel the editor of Buzzfeed magazine wanted to live for a month making purchases with nothing but by having his hand scanned, which in real time debited his back account for each electronic purchase.

Currently, Sweden and her sister countries, are pretty much a cashless society using the scanning or swiping of cards in order to buy and sell (crediting and debiting). We also have companies here in the US who are offering chips under the skin of the hand for making purchases in their break rooms. All of these things are the continuing evolution of the coming mark.

As this mark technology continues to evolve, cash and checks have been in the process of being phased out, so that electronic buying and selling will be the only way to credit or debit ones bank account. When that the beast is revealed, in order for that mark to work which says that anyone without the mark would not be able to buy or sell, the other methods of buying and selling (cash, checks, credit and debit cards, etc.) must be made obsolete, so that the only way to credit or debit ones account will be by the use of that coming device in the hand or the forehead, which will be the mark of the beast. The word of God says that it will be the number of a man. I believe that in the same way that our debit and credit cards digitally have bank codes and misc. codes within the chip of your card, in the same way I believe that the name of this beast or the number of his name will ultimately be encoded into that device/mark. Receiving this mark will then become a form of worship, aligning oneself with the beast.

But getting back to your question, it is this technology that has been here and evolving that tells me that we are in the last days. The next event to take place will be the appearing of the Lord to gather His church. Once that takes place, the Day of the Lord will follow, which is the time of God's wrath via the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments. It will be somewhere in the middle of that last seven years that this mark will become the only way of buying and selling and according to that third angel in Revelation 14:9-12, we know what the consequences will be for those who receive the beasts mark.

For those who are on the earth during that time, it will be a matter of taking the mark in order to be able to continue buying and selling, or rejecting the mark because knowing what it is and whose mark it is. Those who receive it will be those whos names were not written in the book of life before the world began. And those who reject it will belong to the group known as the great tribulation saints.

What scriptures speak of this exactly? I have read many scriptures about the the soul and body but never came across that. And it does confuse me to be honest because when I was in the spiritual realm my body was in the form of my true self granted it could feel like the human body I could cry and feel heat and everything like a normal body but it wasn't my body it was like my spiritual body.
plus I have never seen any examples of this happening in the bible so that is why I am confused

Yes I agree the chip is the mark when I first heard of it the simlarities of it and the mark were way to close to be a coincidence and not to mention how many movies I have seen with this same kind of idea to be used to track people buy and sell things and even alter dna which is actually one of the things I hear they are attempting to be able to do with the chip.
supposedly it is to alter flaws in dna that cause illness like what I have but I think if they are able to anyone who takes the mark will have their minds controlled. They can already do this with sleeper agents without technology so with an advanced tech like that it wouldn't be that hard

The mark of the beast is something that people must make a personal decision to do. If they were controlled to take the mark, then it would not be by their own decision and therefore God could judge them for receiving it. They will have to receive it by their own admission. The worshiping of the beast, his image and his mark, is all apart of God's wrath and testing.

The way that the false prophet causes all both great and small, rich and poor, free and slave to receive it, will be by making the other methods of buying and selling obsolete, so that ones decision will be to receive it or reject it. Those who will reject it will be the great tribulation saints for the sake of God and their eternal lives. Those who receive it, will be those whose names were not written in the book of life before the world began.

I would beg to differ with you. The NT does show division between our soul and spirit:

"For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

There is no scripture that supports your claim above. It is complete conjecture.

ok...I stand corrected that it does differentiate in the NT between soul and spirit but the OT uses Nephesh creatures to refer to the soulish creatures which is how the illustration shows.



We must admit that much of what we believe is subject to interpretation and conjecture. In other words we have to fill in the gaps of what scripture really speaks about and what it means. As for my understanding of two people i get that interpretation from the following texts....

Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. -Matt 24:40

I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left.” - Luke 17:34-35

you have two choices to interpret what these passages mean. One interpretation is that it means two different people or it could mean two of the same people. I prefer to believe the second option

Also consider the worldwide instantaneous communication system, The rapid transportation network, The worldwide scale of the economy, All tied together with the World Wide Web. All of this coming to pass per prophecy.

The scripture above, as to do with those who will be on the earth when Jesus returns to the earth to end the age. Those who are taken are being compared to those who were taken away in the flood, which are the wicked. According the weeds and the wheat parable in Matt.13, when Jesus sends His angels out, the will first collect the weeds/wicked and will take them to where Armageddon is taking place and they will all be killed with that double-edged sword that proceeds for the Lord's mouth, which is figuratively representing the word of God. He will speak and they will all fall dead. Then those birds that will have been gathered by the angel in Rev.19:17 will gorge themselves on their flesh.

The reference to two being in the field and two being in a bed is that, one of those is going to be taken by the angels to their deaths and the ones who are left will be the wheat who will be gathered after the weeds.

Us being divided into two may also be the way that God designed for us to give account of what we do in the flesh as well as what we do in the spirit. You are still interpreting what those passages mean according to your understanding of the context during Noah's flood. How do you know that the people in Noah's flood were not divided up into two right before the flood took them away. There spirit went into hades and their flesh perished in the flood. We really aren't that far off because i believe much of what you are saying but we differ in our understanding of how God judges man. I believe he designed his judgements with mercy in mind and triumphs over wrath (judgement). Therefore he designed it so that man receives his mercy and robots receive his wrath.
