The importance of attending Church

Attending church is an important part of a Christian's walk with the Lord. But its more than just attending, its getting involved in your church through various activities. God has a purpose for everyone in His church. These may include: Preaching, teaching, singing, organizing, counseling, or just simply being a prayer warrior for Jesus. Though worshiping our Lord is most important, finding your calling in church can lead to blessings for you as well as your congregation.
Some may say that they don't have to attend church to have a relationship with God. They may say, "I can live a good Christian life without having to attend church." Even though there may be some truth to this statement, our response should be, "then why did Jesus establish the church?" If Christian's are choosing not to join a church or attend church services while holding out on other activities, then what would be the opinion of our Lord and Savior? There are certain situations where Christians can't go to church or be involved in activities, but if we are able to go then it is our Christian duty to follow and be obedient to our God. We are not just Christians on Sundays.

Hebrews 10:25 The "assembling" of God's people provides us with a place of worship, encouragement, strengthening, and the "stirring up" of the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 16:18-19 Jesus says, "upon this rock I will build my church." Jesus established His church, the foundation of His church, on the "faith" of Peter. Peter's faith, like every Christian is that Jesus is the son of God and died for all our sins. Its upon this truth that the church was established. Praise Jesus!

1 Corinthians 12:12-31 When a person is saved they become a member of the body of Christ(v.27). For a church to function properly, all of its "body parts" need to be present and working. Each member of the body of Christ(the church), had responsibilities or a function. Our responsibilities may differ or seem lacking in comparison with another, but our attendance is necessary for spiritual growth, for God calls us to do many things.

The separation clause in the USC should empower people to attend church. Even gather on the grounds, bringing fold up chairs for seating. Church community is greater than any fear paradigm any government anywhere may wish to install into our free society. Wait, did I just write, "free"?

So are you the newly appointed mouth of the church.

I definitely agree that we all need each other. God created us as social beings. Relationships are important. Yet I have some questions about how we gather.

1. Why is every gathering the same when someone starts one? In terms of, there's the same program. Sing to the Lord, perhaps some prayer, quick meet and greet and listen to a sermon. Now I know there can be differing variations of how we do things but essentially there generally isn't much thought except doing like the rest of the gatherings do around us.

2. Why is there so much pressure on the pastor, or perhaps there may be others too, to give a message week in week out. I've heard many times over the years from people at times struggling to get a message together, and I think why? Why not just tell the people at those times, I don't have anything to say today, how about you over there? Do you have a word from the Lord? Does anyone have a testimony or share what God is doing lately? Or why not just continue singing?

I once listened to someone say their gathering each week was round tables in a hall, people sat together, got to know each other, prayed for one another, shared life and a meal together. They would sing together. And it got me thinking (and stirred up) about how we do things, not that it's necessarily wrong, but then again, I've served in gatherings that were so programmed to the minute then had the audacity to say that the Holy Spirit was guiding the service. What? Lol

I personally think as we gather we need to let go a little. Yes, every gathering is different but for the most part the same. We need it to be a place where it fosters deep connections with people, not just small talk and then leave with the phrase I've come to hate, "see you next Sunday." For that tells me there is zero intention to meet outside the walls and not really be apart of my life and grow together.
Do amazing friendships grow out of gatherings? Of course they do but I think there could be much much more. I'm also afraid a lot of people have grown accustomed to treating their weekly gathering as a service, mainly to receive something whether consciously or unconsciously. This shouldn't be so.

I think I will stop here now.

"The eye cannot say to the hand, 'I do not need you.' Nor can the head say to the feet, 'I do not need you.'"

Always remember and put into practice not so much going to church as being the church wherever we may be.

There are times in my life that I should have done more for my church and my brothers and sisters. Unfortunately I sat on my hands rather than praying and asking God for guidance on certain issues. If we get more involved, God opens up more doors of opportunities for us to serve Him. Before we serve God, we must first learn how to show grace(Hebrews 12:28). Pray for me, that I won't set on our Lord the next time an opportunity comes up.

Act 2:44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
Act 2:45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
Act 2:46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
Act 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

The saints should fellowship with each other for they are not of the world, but of the kingdom of God, and to help each other with their needs, and to strengthen each other.

Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

And all the more today for the day that approaches is here now, the end time.

The different denominations stay kind of separated with their different beliefs.

But it would seem like they would put those difference aside at a time like this, and get together because not too long from now the world will go against Christianity.

As well as the world will soon go against Islam, which they will go against Islam before Christianity, for they both have something in common the belief in a God.

So Christianity and Islam should fellowship, and put aside their differences, and get along.

Not come together going to Church, but come together to put aside their differences and get along, because the world will be against both, and some may come to the truth, and the bigger the people, and support, the better, which looking at it from the viewpoint of the world going against both because of their belief in a God.

I hope to be able to attend church soon, there is one I can walk to when my eyes are better and this virus goes away. There are many reasons why people don't attend church personally I think it can indeed be a good thing I have seen God use me almost every time I attended one and there really are amazing people you can meet there. And lets be honest guys with all this social distancing we could use the interaction

I think in one way denomination/sects provide a way of us not killings our brothers and sisters (wrestling against flesh and blood) with Christ in us the peace maker.. We know he causes the growth if any. Iron can sharpen iron when two or three are gather under the hearing of His faith that works in us, or two or three billion .

In the last days which began the the veil was rent; "a sign of the flesh of the first born". We today are in the same kind of period of Judges. Men and woman's prophets from many nations , no outward pagan representative.

An assembly can be a valuable tool for revealing the gospel to the world planting the seed . But not all are sent out as apostles. Others have other kinds of gifts, Paul was sent out from the Nazarene sect or called the Way to other assemblies as sects like the Corinthians, Thessalonians, Ephesians e.t.c.

In Revelation 2 The Holy Spirit warns the Ephesian denomination to be careful of the heresy that denies the grace we are purchased by there must be heresies as differences of opinion. But denying the grace is damnable or judgable. .The doctrine of Catholicism clearly shows that . By teaching only this corrupted flesh and blood entity they call Queen Mary received the full of grace as the mother of Mercy. Everyone else gets a unknown remnant and must continue to work doing something even after taking ones last breath of the spirit for another unknown remant with no end in sight.

Putting ones trust in the strange woman of a legion of gods (patron saints )

Find a assembly that has a great format and see if you fit in .Those in the valley head to the assembly (mountain kingdoms, sects) . Those in the assembly head to the valley help the cave dwellers to get the gospel out into the whole world, valley kingdoms or families 2 or 3 gathering under the hearing of His faith as well as mountain kingdom. All will become the kingdom of God in the new heavens and earth on the last day.

Paul a missionary to the sects brining the gospel in a hope of growing in faith. Paul sent to the Ephesian sect or church with a warning to keep the unity of the faith of Christ, the hearing of, the first experience. Believing Him not seen was threat to that sect.

He acknowledged his love for them recognizing the good works they offered as he did work with them and they did not faint. And acknowledged their same hatred which is attributing the works of the Holy Spirit eternal God not seen to mankind seen .They were under the approval of Nicole the temporal . an abomination that makes the Holy Spirit desolate.

First love.(the hearing of faith)
Do the first works . ( belive God as he works in us making our burden lighter.

I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. 2-7

I guess the above people havent heard of online services and being church from home, and in our workplaces wherever they are a bit strange since even this forum is online.

Not everyone is mobile or can be. In some areas, public transport is dire and it costs a lot to own and run a car. To be able to do all those things and ministries requires a heap of dedication and some are not at that stage just yet, its all they can do to just run their own households. so I would not run a huge guilt trip for those who cannot attend church physically.
