Is Spontaneous Human Combustion The Work Of The Devil?

Accounts of Spontaneous Human Combustion have been reported all over the world. From a Christian point of view is it the Devil taking his due on those involved?

No but it would look like a Hollywood special effect for sure. There are so many medically shocking things out there. I spent my working life in hospitals and you wouldn't believe the variety of things we saw. I guess that that is why medical dramas like House were so popular.

Weird or unknown events happen all the time but not all are true. Have to look at the evidence for each individual case. For example some will have natural explanations while other Drs are astounded and claim to witness a miracle when a patient is healed beyond anything they could of imagined possible. As with SHC there doesn't appear to be any natural evidence which only leaves you with a case by case study to determine if this was a possibility. By all understanding the body shouldn't spontaneously combust which if someone did then that would be a supernatural event.

Doing a little research will reveal that there are scientific explanations for this phenomenon. Most claims of this seem to stem from older times when science was less advanced. But as knowledge in science grows an understanding of how this happens has grown as well.
But it has nothing to do with forming inside a person and everything to do with a series of external circumstances working together.

I know oily rags will combust and I wouldn't be surprised if someone at sometime didn't have some kinda oil or something on their clothes that caused them to combust and catch fire, maybe already dead or even fell unconscious first because of low oxygen fumes rising .. I think the devil would rather convince you to light a match yourself then laugh at you ..

The way I understand it, a heavy person falls asleep or dies while smoking a cigarette. The cigarette falls onto them and begins a slow burn consuming the body.

There is no singular explanation. It's often more complicated than that. If a person is a known smoker, or learned to be a smoker, that would be an automatic suspicion. Not hard to figure out.
Why would they have to be heavy?
If a person were asleep wouldn't dropping a cigarette on their skin wake them up?

Interesting question. I would certainly not generalise for all cases, but I understand a good number of people suffering the condition were involved in the Occult prior to combusting. Playing with things God has forbidden has consequences. I wouldn't be surprised to learn this may be one of them.

I dont know why this happens. I wonder how many Christians have been the victims because it seems to me that if the Devil was doing it he would more likely choose us than someone involved in the occult. The devil looks after his own as the saying goes. There are
many weird things in the world. Crop Circles intrigue me. The idea that they are all caused by some one with a plank and some string
is too incredible to believe. You only have to see the elaborate patterns on many to dimiss that idea. Some people claim to have seen them being formed without anyone else being present.

Does that actually happen?! Whatever occurs in the world just remember that God is always in control.
