We are presently judges of church affairs...we are not presently judges of eternal fates of sinners/devils - that is at the end.

We must first stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ and be found faithful, after which we will judge sinners.
I do not know where you get this from

Those born of God, were judged at the cross. as Judge became atonement for them.

Anyone who stands in front of God based on what they have done on this earth will be judged guilty, and receive their just penalty. That penalty being death, of course by that time, that death will be eternal

It is only those who have received Christ atoning sacrifice by shedding his redemptive blood, who WERE dead in sin, but have now been made ALIVE in Christ that will not be judged eternally for sin.

Jesus said in John 6, whoever received him will never die, and will be resurrected by Him

God told John is revelation that death and hades will be delievered to Christ. and they will be judged, then death and hades will be cast into outer darkness

if you think you are going to stand in front of God based on what you have done on this earth and get out of hell. Your in serious trouble

Oh there are a number of them over the years on this thread, and the will say "I quit sinning when . . . . ."

Then I will quote these scriptures:

1 Thessalonians 1:5 (NASB)
5 for our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction; just as you know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.

Ecclesiastes 7:20 (NKJV)
20 For there is not a just man on earth who does good And does not sin.

1 Peter 2:13-17 (NKJV)
13 Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man
for the Lord's sake
, whether to the king as supreme,
14 or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for
the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good.
15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put
to silence the ignorance of foolish men--
16 as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as
bondservants of God.
17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
{That would be President Donald Trump, if you are an American.}

I perceive that You are Lying. You do to Sin, and that makes you Guilty of Breaking all of GOD'S LAWS.

James 2:10 (NCV)
10 A person who follows all of God’s law but fails to obey even one command is guilty of breaking all the commands in that law.

Then the SPOUT OFF for about two Posts, and LEAVE.
Believe me, I have never proclaimed that I no longer sin. On another note, I love when you post the speed limit signs.

no because we will

what christian wants to stand in front of God and see all he did burnt to ashes?
It should be plain to anyone that the purpose of standing before a Judgment Seat is to be judged.

We "stand before the Judgement seat" but not to be judged.
We must "endure unto the end" to save our "physical bodies" (for what purpose in heaven's name?)
We "escaped the pollutions of this world", but never really escaped if we turn back from holiness
We were God enlightened/ate of His eternal gift/partook of the Holy Spirit, but never saved if we turn back

It's a gospel of inconsistency at best :)

Well my friend There are two types of judgment

A bema judgment

and a krinos judgment

Two greek words for two different types of judgment

A believer will stand at the bema judgment (there will be no unbelievers present, even the one who lost everything, as paul said, will be saved, even as through fire)

death and hades will stand at the krinos judgment (there will be no believers present. these peopel are delivered to Christ, not ressurected by him

you deliver a criminal. Not a person who has been set free or redeemed.

The problem you may be having is the same english word is used for both types. Maybe you should study this more. It sure woke me up. and opened my eyes.

Again "grace" is the sustaining power, the very influence of Christ in the life of the Christian..... not the law.

So of course "under grace" we do not desire sin, grace is the very influence of God in our heart.

This is all of Paul's teaching ..... grace and how grace is the narrow path... exhorting us to draw form Grace/Jesus for profitable Christian life and live the life of Liberty.

Focus on sin and you will sin... grace is the focus not sin, grace restrains sin.
Yes, Paul is telling the saints that sin should not have dominion because we're under grace, and that grace is not a license to sin. We agree.

What OSAS folks refuse to acknowledge is verse 16 where Paul plainly tells the saints that if the they decide to allow sin to have dominion, they're gonna suffer eternal death - and why you all get so filled up with the devil when someone like me points it out. Don't shoot the messenger, it's God Who sends the message.:)

sigh..OK, here are the verses:
The Here and Now
"If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church."
The Hereafter
"For we must all stand before the Judgment seat of Christ
"For God will bring every work into Judgment, with ever secret thing, whether it be good or evil."
"Know ye not that we shall judge angels?"

See? Got it from the Bible, all of it.

Bema, is a raised throne, where the judge pronounces judgment, It is seen normally in places like the Olympic games, where they judge rewards athletes for how well they performed,, When paul uses the term judgment seat in rom 14. he is speaking to believers, not unbelievers,

Krinos is a a legal term of a judge who passes judgment on criminals, He not only announces if they are guilty or innocent, he pronounces judgment on the person who is found guilty.

again remember, who is at the final judgement?

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before [c]God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

Also remember, According to scripture. True believers, although thty may be physically dead, Are still called alive in Christ, they were just sleeping, not realy dead, to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord as Paul said.

Death there is not refering to eternal damnation.

You really should go back the Baptist church I really cannot believe how you exegete scripture .. just plain common sense!!

so paul contradicts John?

1 John 2: 4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him

1 John 3: 6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. 7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. 8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

yep I see it

Christians will stand at the judgment (bema) seat of Christ

WE shall judge angels should be one clue to you that these are believers, Not unbelievers

Death and hades are delivered to the great white throne judgment (kronos)

No believer will be present at that judgment, Our judgment was paid for on the cross. The people there will be people who rejected having the righteousness of Christ applied to their behalf, and thus are left on their own merit, which is why their works are tried, and they are found lacking.

Neither do I. The magnitude of pain someone can inflict on another person can be severe and it takes more time and prayer to overcome. Perhaps to some that is considered work.
Yeah

and also why we are still flawed

Jesus said forgive the father for they know not what they do. Can we do this?

I will admit, I doubt I could..
