I have no doubt a vaccine will be developed, in fact I think we'll see by Oct/Nov of this year. Assuming a vaccine is developed will you get the shot? For my own part the answer is no, but when I get into my 60s and 70s (God Willing) or if I develop an illness that comprises my immunity, then my opinion will likely change.

Here's what the BBC is reporting:

Only if my doctor recommends it. If I didn't trust his medical judgement, I would find another doctor.

There’s coming out reports of 12 year old children and younger and mid 20, 30, 40, are dying. it’s looking like it’s no age barrier or underlying conditions are the main factors that is also changing by the day.

I would not object to everyone wearing n95 masks, a local food store is selling them 1$ and requiring them while in the store now. then again that might create another issue, no mask no food no money no food no mask no I don’t know

If you have some information on those younger people getting ill I would like to see it please....from what I understand people with Diabetes are at heightened risk and Junenile Diabetes is not uncommon, likewise there was a 21 year old soccer coach in Spain who died, but he was reported to have Leukemia. I also heard about an infant who died in the United States...the first I believe, but I haven't seen any reporting on whether or not the infant had any underlying medical conditions.

yes I mistaken the youngest known so far is a 16 year old, reported she had no pre-existing conditions.

the 12 year old is on a ventilator doing better

I’ve read a baby has the virus and isn’t doing well, I’ll look for that.

I've never taken the flu shot. So WHY would I take a virus vaccine, especially when I don't have the virus??

Thanks, any death is tragic...but more so when its someone so young, hopefully the young will continue to be a tiny fraction.

if you want to look after the widows and orphans start taking measures now. God knows whether you are just acting in your self interest or caring about others. He knows your heart.

"Yeah, I've never worn a seat belt. So why would I wear a seat belt, especially when I am not in a car accident?"

The flu vaccine doesn't guarantee you WON'T get the flu. There are different strains of the influenza virus. Taking the vaccine AFTER you already have the virus is pointless. It takes a while for the vaccine to kick in. So this answers your question.

However, the vaccine could lessen the effects of the virus on your body if you took it before you caught the virus. Worst case scenario, the vaccine does nothing, best case scenario, it could possibly save your life... that is, unless you are an anti-vac'er and think you get autism from it. In which case, I'd rather not even have that debate/discussion.

Yeah that's the whole point of getting the vaccine so you don't get the virus

I never get it, one because so many people get sick after getting it, and two, they use the flu virus in the vaccine.. I'm not an anti-vaxer, but no thanks.. I'll just stay in self-isolation..

I get my flu vaccine every year and I don't get the flu so I'm assuming they work
If and when covid-19 virus is produced I will consult a medical professional before taking it

I'd ask that medical profession if he/she is getting it too. Years back the province of Ontario tried to require front line medical staff like nurses and paramedics to get vaccinated against the flu...they argued against it, saying if Doctors weren't obligated to get it why should they be....I'd never had a flu vaccine before that, and not once since....got the flu once, I was sick....I got better. That was 8 or 9 years ago.

I don't get the flu shot, because I had a bad reaction. But I would definitely get a COVID-19 vaccine. I have so many risk factors, I would like to have some assurance that if I go out of the house, I won't die 14 days later.
