You don't want a confrontation, then go on to insult me, then call me rude. Perhaps try the mirror once in a while. Or maybe you're too afraid of what you'll see?
I'm sorry you interpret me voicing my opinions and interpretations as "rude", as you speak for someone else, rather than letting them speak for themselves.
Feel free to read my second response to her now, if you can move your mouse from the weight of that chip on your shoulder.

You were rude. I didn't insult you. Perhaps grow up a little bit and stop with the tit for tat. Never had an issue with you on here and suddenly full throw down. Seriously, what's the deal?!

Your opinion is rude when you disregard what the Op is saying, even after she explained herself. And she is being extremely gracious to you and taking blame on herself that she shouldn't. And I'll speak whenever I feel someone needs it. Feel free to block me.

Your second response, quote "My honesty is often seen as mean, but I view it as mean if I'm not so honest...No need to feel defensive. "

I didn't see an apology there at all. Your response bothered her, and that is why I stepped in and I will always step in when I see it's needed. You call it honesty? Maybe it's you who needs to look in the mirror.

Aweee you are a natural warrior for Christ, Kayla. I can not help but feel touched. Thank you.

I am ok. I love you, Sister. I love u too Sub.

Trying to think of a good verse or song.

Hmmmm...Any good verses or songs you can think of to help us move forward?

Well if not, just know that there is peace in my heart because He lives, I can face tomorrow.

Well I don't think "there's a sweet spirit in this place" is going to cut it. I'm glad you and Sub are good. That's all that matters. You were clear in your OP,I believe, in what you meant. No one wants to see suffering. We have become spoiled. I know a man that got saved during the war in Vietnam. He said he only called the Lords name in vain, but he was put in a place where he knew he needed help. He became a Christian and ministered for the Lord in music for many, many years. God can and does use suffering to bring us to the place we have to make a choice. Some turn to Him and some turn away. It's a pity, that's for certain.

Wow, powerful...what a testimony, a praise report for sure. I agree He uses suffering and that it us VERY sad that some turn away.

Yes, I agree. It's definitely Not easy, especially with people close to us being negatively impacted. I know someone who's son lost their job because of this Corona mess. Not to make light of the situation, but I think it's about perspective. Even a Christian can succumb to fear, doubt, despair, etc. I'm not immune to that at times. However, there's plenty of that already in the world and we can already do it to ourselves. Our feelings won't change the circumstances. We can be miserable or we can try to make lemonade when life throws us some lemons. We have our hope in God and can do little things that might make a difference to someone. Like just because we can't save all the starving children in the world doesn't mean we shouldn't bother trying to help one we come across. There's quite a bit of doom and gloom right now, so why add to it? Maybe to acknowledge that no one is alone in feeling some of these things, but I wouldn't advise staying "stuck" there. There's a potential for things to get worse, but if our light is extinguished then how great will the darkness be? We need to be lights in the world, especially now. That's why I feel it's great when we can encourage one another, but also agree that it's good to be open about our fears and such because even that is encouraging. You're not alone. Besides God, we have each other.

Good morning C.R., apparently I missed some turmoil and accusations, good thing, it was late , after I pile in around 6 or 7, I like to as we know the day goes on and we all become tired, sometimes frazzled and we can post, think, and/or say things that we wouldn't in the morning when we are not tired, I like to remember how His mercies are new every morning. So should ours be. bless you all in Jesus name.

I
Well you didn't hear my mention of trust in God because for over 2 years now I have been open about having abandoned my faith. Well, I was open about it until people on here began trashing me and falsely accusing me of things.
Regardless, even as a Christian I would have felt the same way. People keep wanting to make this event a positive. It's not.
And as Seoul pointed out, crisis conversions are not typically ideal. It's easy to pray and turn to God when you face your own mortality, but when it passes and you survive, most people suddenly forget.
Also there is a distinction between praising God in the midst of a trial vs spreading false idealism and justifying a world wide death event with speculation.
Sorry to hear about your experience Subhumanoidal. Everybody that leaves their faith has their (often personal) reasons. I haven't been on the forums long so I didn't know, hence why I thought your post was informative. You do bring another perspective. I like friendly, open discussions. If people don't receive us, then shake off the dust and move on rather than enter a pointless argument. Agree to disagee. I also would be curious why you choose to participate in a Christian forum. No requirement to be Christian, so perhaps it's to make people think, question, and maybe "come to reason"? I've had some conversations with atheists and some are very kind. The hardest were with my brother who fell away from our faith for perhaps a period of 3 years? He would know. We used to be Catholic and about the time I became Christian he became atheist. He was angry at the perceived lies and I couldn't get through to him. All I could do was pray. He became Christian about a year ago and still has some struggles, but he's trying. It wasn't through anything I did or said. Nobody comes to the Father unless they are drawn to Him. I think our prayers helped.

PS I agree a "crisis conversion" is not ideal. Also why I don't particularly like "sinners prayer" or " altar call" conversions. Many don't last or may not be genuine, but were done because everyone else was doing it or expected the person to. It works for some, but many forget God when prosperity comes and only remember Him again when calamity hits. That's why I believe if someone has questions it's good to ask them rather than push them away. It's not out of sight out of mind. If they don't get asked, they'll build up and the person will be more likely to lose their faith rather than become stronger in it. We won't know everything, but there are definitely a lot of answers to be found. Seek and you will find, knock and the door shall be opened to you (Matthew 7:7).

Mid west America here, ready for another day the Lord has made, a friend just sent me a video of officials in China shooting down people with the virus. Sounds like something a godless satanic red communist government would do, the kind of people who would release an engineered virus upon the world.

Did not intend to surprise or distress, I jumped over to a more political forum on a thread and may have picked up a little of a temporal mindset, sorry, I must single minded and keep my mind "stayed on Him".

Keep always in mind that any given government does not alway represent all of its people.
All please remember to pray for our countless brethren in China.

And do not forge the brethren in India, for now i petition our Father for the welfare and blessings for Levi and his loved ones, amen.

It is ok, brother....I understand. I get so easily distracted too. So yes, let's just pray for them as we bring our focus back to He who is able. Great and mighty King, we thank You for we see Your revealing throughout this fallen world.

Lord we know You are working

All over the world, recall the Book of Kings? He never intended we have kings and leaders, and evil people tend to gravitate toward positions of power and authority. We were always intended to serve one another, as Jesus modeled, He had not where to lay His head, His heavenly Father provided.
What a wonderful time He has provided to repent and return to Him, "Be still and know that I am G-d"
blessings
