My goddaughters mother knows a paralegal in our governor's office. They were going to impose ML mid-week this week, but decided this coming Monday would be better. Martial Law is typically an order of last resort.

I caught the tail end of yet another press conference with President Trump and others just a little while ago. It is still airing live.

Martial Law
The exercise of government and control by military authorities over the civilian population of a designated territory.

Martial law is an extreme and rare measure used to control society during war or periods of civil unrest or chaos. According to the Supreme Court, the term martial law carries no precise meaning (Duncan v. Kahanamoku, 327 U.S. 304, 66 S. Ct. 606, 90 L. Ed. 688 [1946]). However, most declarations of martial law have some common features. Generally, the institution of martial law contemplates some use of military force. To a varying extent, depending on the martial law order, government military personnel have the authority to make and enforce civil and criminal laws. Certain civil liberties may be suspended, such as the right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures, freedom of association, and freedom of movement. And the writ of Habeas Corpus may be suspended (this writ allows persons who are unlawfully imprisoned to gain freedom through a court proceeding).

In the United States, martial law has been instituted on the national level only once, during the Civil War, and on a regional level only once, during World War II. Otherwise, it has been limited to the states. Uprisings, political protests, labor strikes, and riots have, at various times, caused several state governors to declare some measure of martial law.

Martial law on the national level may be declared by Congress or the president. Under Article I, Section 8, Clause 15, of the Constitution, Congress has the power "[t]o provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress insurrections and repel Invasions." Article II, Section 2, Clause 1, of the Constitution declares that "[t]he President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States." Neither constitutional provision includes a direct reference to martial law. However, the Supreme Court has interpreted both to allow the declaration of martial law by the president or Congress. On the state level, a governor may declare martial law within her or his own state. The power to do so usually is granted in the state constitution.

Congress has never declared martial law. .....[More]

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates
Will coronavirus lead to martial law?

In this news conference today Trump referred to COVID-19 as , this invisible enemy. Our economy, he said, was doing great until this outbreak....

There's something going on that we don't see. And there, in my opinion, besides this latest about ML, is coming.
I know at least one state put off their primary voting due to this flu.
Should be a very interesting summer. Because it is turning out to be a really interesting cusp of spring.

Either way we will be alright. This will pass and we will all get to recovery. After all, in martial law the recovery would be extremely slow and that is the last thing Trump would want while trying to get reelected.

Except under Martial Law the President sits for the duration. There is no election if ML extends past November 2020.

Martial Law is on the verge of being imposed in a great number of countries as we speak.

The consequences of this is not predictable.

My main concern is that ML gives the wrong people an opportunity to stay in office.

On the other hand the authorities need to create space for the sake of governing the country in an effective way.

I really hope they don’t impose ML for more than three months. A longer duration would make the possibilities of abuse of power limitless.

We've always had martial law in Alaska - there's no way out. To the west is Russia. To the east is the Yukon Territory, Canada and the Royal Canadian Mounties. To the south is the Pacific Ocean. To the North is Eskimo's (including my ex-wife) and the North Pole guarded by Polar Bears and Norwegian cruise ships.

Upward is Heaven.

There's no need to fear Coronavirus. The Israelites were praising God as they had faith in victory. And so can we. These viruses have been around since the dawn of time and are no surprise to the Lord.

My biggest concern is learning to trust God in all situations.
And finding a lady to share a Corona with to show we are not afraid, since Jesus assured us as Christians that nothing can harm God's people, and all who turn to Him day by day as we are able, or turn-again, knowing that, as my brother said once, a retired pastor - all of our sins (sins of the world) are like a raindrop (raindrops) (or tear) in the ocean of God's Mercy. (interpreted quote).
--covered - all of them - by one drop, "sancto de Christo,"
of the Blood of the Everlasting Covenant, which we remember as Christians in the ceremony of Bread and Wine, which symbolize this in a spiritual communion with the Holy Spirit (this is paraphrase of my brother's words regarding Holy Communion.

My brother suffered very much serving Christ and the Church he believed he was called to serve.

He is a very serious, sober, and loyal Christian, and I take his words very seriously. I believe these two teachings he shared are inspired:
That people, including Christians, should not be discouraged or distraught about anything we may have done, or failed to do (or failed to rejoice in the good things we have done, loving ourselves also) - that our sins are like a raindrop in the ocean of God's Mercy.
Also his words when I was asking about the Bread and Wine, and the words of Jesus:. "This is My Body," and "This is My Blood," which can be upsetting to try and understand, that the Bread and Wine is "fellowship with the Holy Spirit." (or he may have said, "communing with the Holy Spirit," which is the Spiritual Presence of Christ through the true and real symbols of Bread and Wine. This is about Bread and Wine, and the direct comparison known as a simile or metaphor.

This is all important theology, but one of my greatest needs is Christian fellowship (spending time with other Christians) and ministry Christians, family, and friends, and anywhere the Lord sends us to help and save other people.

I went to Church Sunday, so right now, my greatest need is to share a Corona with a lady, as a sign of faith, and to obey the commandment of the Bible to find a wife.

Amen, brother-- it's just a test - run. These viruses have been around a long time - Centuries; Decades; And not one has prevailed against humanity. But, to stay ahead of the dangerous ones, we need to be more germ-ready and germ concious and have more military-type discipline, or a sanitary fast-food restaurant. It's the spiritual uncleanness that the LOrd wants us to beware of. May God bless you for your tireless, serious work in these forums that honors God and keeps us on the right track.
If anyone has time to find the Quote from the Apostle Peter? 2Peter...."be sober, serious, vigilant..."

This is one lady I admire as a successful good health and healthy eating inspiration. A healthy diet, one of which is Chinese food, is key to good health. But, she might be too busy to have a Corona, and I think she's married.
And it's a women's magazine... The captivating cover just happened to catch my eye, and has led me, even as a Christian man of God, to seek out better health, which I needed, since I was not eating healthy.

Actually I read a article the other day talking about how as the ice melts in the northern and southern poles it will release ancient viruses. Scientists been drilling and testing them for years now to try and prepare for new viruses. Basically viruses that was living during the age of dinosaurs lol.

The virus will always be here. That's the nature of virus.
Yah but the situation wont be the same. Most viruses are good and in fact we need viruses for life on Earth. Atleast this wasn't a severely deadly virus and it actually helped our government and medical institutions be able to learn how to handle and prepare for possible Pandemics in the future that very well could be seriously deadly to all age groups healthy or not.

with all the mass hysteria it's especially important to be skeptical about wild claims these days.
there is a lot of disinformation about this whole thing, exacerbated by people with a lot more time on their hands to aimlessly & anxiously browse the internet than they normally have. no, bananas don't make a person flu-proof. no, holding a blow-dryer up your nose for 10 minutes doesn't disinfect you.

one thing that's been going around this week is variations on someone's relative somewhere knows someone in the government who has advance information that the whole country or a particular state is about to get forced by the military to stay under house arrest. 'so you better go hoard food and TP right now' the viral story goes. and that's why i have to go out to a smaller town whose stores haven't been raided by paranoid citizens to get my weekly shopping done :(

How Chrissy Teigen helped save my life! And my sanity during some spiritual warfare.
Seriously, last Autumn, I had a flu that was 10 times worse than the Corona virus, by my estimates. I was homeless and camping in my car in a campground parking lot, and was very ill. I was blessed to have some cold and flu remedies and some tylenol to help with the fever. But, I would say it was one of the worst flu's of my life, and as the fever peaked, I became concerned about my life, but didn't feel strong enough to drive 20 miles to the hospital, and didn't want to call an ambulance for the flu, and didn't want to concern a few other campers late at night. So, I finally prayed and asked the Lord to help me and heal me since, even though I'm a bit older, I felt it was not my time to leave. Just as I was about to make a decision to drive to the hospital, some birds flew down out of the trees and fluttered around my car, one landing on my rear view mirror briefly. They seemed concerned because of the high fever.

After I prayed, shortly thereafter, the fever broke, and I began to feel better and knew I was going to make it. Just to be sure, I drove to the hospital the next day, I believe, and another time went to the Emergency Room. For some reason, I thought I needed to say some spiritual warfare prayers, which I am not trained to do, and were careless and not necessary for a physical illness. As I got out of my car, I heard the Lord say, "O faithless one, you almost [stranded] yourself with your own words." (word edited). This is how powerful spiritual warfare prayers are, and should be carefully used. He said this in a loving and compassionate way, to encourage my faith.

Inside the emergency room, I heard the angelic voice of a lady saying, "you're killing yourself with your diet." This was not related to the flu, but my general health. I was living in my car, and buying potato chips and clam dip because, well, I like potato chips and clam dip. And I was eating the whole bag and whole cup of clam dip. That's high carbs and high fat, and definitely not a balanced diet.

After this I began to eat healthy foods and found housing, and tried to make healthier choices.

This picture of me below in sunglasses is an example of how someone's health can recover over 50+ . It is also a gesture of solidarity with artistically done photo's. I believe that the discussion here, although it was more religious above, shows the importance of spiritual nourishment, and physical health, physical and spiritual discipline, and artistic photo's.
Don't give up! Trust in the Lord, and we can recover!

I don't know what good reporting this would do so I'll say it plainly. I think you should keep your lusts to yourself! It is inappropriate in a Christian forum to exhibit such things and speak in such a manner. She's married! MARRIED! And has a child. Your public lust is an offense and is a violation of the scriptures concerning righteous conduct.
