Sooo, God lied to them to get Nineveh to repent? Foe God’s eternal decree to be met, God sometimes has to lie? Wow man!

I’m saying God changed His mind. Actually, that’s what Scripture is saying as well. Again, God has all authority to change His mind on matters as man responds to His word.

You have more faith in the fallen nature than me. My position is that God provides the necessary means to obey this commandmant. Therefore, there is no grounds for boasting.

Please explain this “eternal decree” since this phrase is not biblical.

I'm not sure how you think this refutes my position.

God provides the necessary spiritual equipment to be obedient to his righteous commandments. Praise be to God that saves those he elects to salvation!

No word of God is a "false teaching". God prophesied that the elect would be vindicated by the Savior who stomps the Serpent to death. This is consistent with the Reformed storyline of Scripture. His righteousness accounts for our lack of righteousness. Praise be to Jesus !

God’s eternal decree, for “known unto God are all His works from the beginning of the world” (Acts 15:18). “Who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will” (Eph. 1:11).

You’re not adding to Scripture are you? Or do you read from the Calvin’s 2020 New Addition Bible?

Fallen mankind has fell far short of the image of God. Jesus' righteousness makes up for the gap. Anything less is Pelagianism or semi-Pelagianism. No matter how hard the person tries, he cannot measure up to God's righteous standards.

While believers strive to obey God, they will inevitably fall short.

Praise be to Jesus, the LORD of all that belong to HIM! He has saved those that belong to HIM.

Genesis 3:15 discusses the "seed of the serpent" versus the "seed of the woman". The elect belong to the seed of the woman. The rest are seed of the serpent.

It was God’s will that Nineveh should be overthrown in forty days until they responded to the word of destruction and repented. Since they repented, God changed His mind. That’s Bible. God has authority to change his mind.

There are a few passages that states that God will not change His mind, and everyone of these have to do with His long term plans for the nation of Israel.
