Then do not make scientific claims. As a dispensationalist I believe a day in Genesis is 1,000 years. "With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day." (2Peter 3:8)The church age is 2,000 years and we are very close to the end of the church age . Soon we are going to enter into the 1,000 year reign of Christ.
Well you have every right to believe that God took 6000 years to create the earth but as for me, my research tells me that God took 6 days to create the earth. I also believe in dispensationalism but my Bible tells me that God made the earth in six 24 hour days. IE The morning and the evening of each day. To say that there is 1000 years between a morning and an evening is way out there in left field. That would mean that there were 365,000 mornings and 365,000 evenings. LOL Man where did you come up with that because clearly scripture is talking about one morning and one evening per day with regards to the "Six Days" it took God to create the world and He could have created the earth in just six seconds just by speaking the earth into existence.
Yes I believe that to God a thousand years is as a day to GOD but just as I said, scripture is very clear about the fact that for each day God worked on creating the earth there was only one morning and one evening.

There is not just one church age. There are seven church ages, one church age for each letter written to the seven churches in Asia. However we are in the age of the church of Laodicea. But I think we are still a ways off from prophetic scripture fulfillment. I studied Islam and the Quran for about 4 years and I believe that Islam is that false religion that consumes the world and brings on the great persecution of the people of Christ before the resurrection takes place. Though Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world right now it still has a long way to go (many years) before it is the dominant religion in the world.

It would seem to most that this being a Bible Discussion Forum, relatieng the science of mankind to the knowledge given by our Maker is perfectly justified and needful.

God is not bound by the knowledge (science) of man, we should seek His knowledge and net be deceived by that which is a very imperfect attempt to replace it.

Eze 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Sorry in all of the excitement I got my numbers wrong. That would be 730,000 mornings and 730,000 evenings.

So perhaps we might consider the scriptures that tell us there was always a barrier between man and God when man met God "face to face".
I believe that "barrier" to be Yeshua Hamashiach. Think about it, if He is God (which we all know He is) how could we look at Him even after he was resurrected and came down from heaven again. He is and was the only barrier. We can't see God in all His glory that is why they needed the veil in the tabernacle, and that why we need the living “Veil” our King Yeshua.

We were not talking about the Bible. Did you take a wrong turn somewhere? We were talking about Science. The Literal Bible begins 6,000 years ago. I am a dispensationalist. For me a day is 1,000 years. If you want to believe that a day in Genesis chapter one is a literal day that is fine with me. There are rules we need to follow if we want to study bible interpretation hermeneutics. Every individual in different, yet the Bible is still universal. There are words we can use: allegory, metaphor, archetype, homiletics, symbols, paradigms, parables.

The most important is FIRST we start off with the understanding of a Child. Then we build on that to be an adult and understand as an adult. IF we do not get the child understand correct we will not get the adult understanding correct. "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 18:3)
No unfortunately for you a 1000 years is a 1000 years. For God one day can be as a thousand years because He is not bound to time. If we try to be God we usually won't get it right. God didn't need 6 gazillion years to create the earth and the heavens, the Bible teach us only 5 days and we were created day six. The Hebrew, like you would know, says days, 24 hours periods, sunset to sunrise... however you want to describe it.


I did not take any turn, the Bible is science. Science should proof the existence of God, not the other way around... and if science proof the contrary, science is wrong 10 times out of 10.

And yes you are correct; we should trust the Word like children. If I tell my son grass is green he will defend it with his life. If God tells us the earth was created in 5 days and we were created day six we should defend it because God said so... maybe I am the one with the advantage taking my God and Father literally.

This creates a problem for the first day because a 24 hour day has not been created yet. The earth is in a dance with the moon. So the rotation of the earth is slowing down. Each day is a tiny bit longer then the day before. Also we are told that we are looking forward to the "perfect day" "But the path of the just is like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day." Proverbs 4:18. So how long ago was the first day and when is the perfect day? John 1:1 tells us: "In the beginning was the word" Genesis 1:1 says: "In the beginning". Or just the word: "beginning" in the Hebrew. You can not look at the beginning from our perspective today. We have to look at the beginning from the perspective of the beginning. That is why the beginning is a day but a day is also a billion years. We start at a dot or a point in time. Yet God is infinite. How do we compress infinity into a finite world? How do we start with a singularity and end up with a duality or a dichotomy? There is no corruption and decay with God and yet we live in a world that is in a constant state of corruption and decay.

We all know that there was a war where God made the sun stood still for a time and maybe the 24 hour period changed then? I am not the expert but that is my thinking behind it all.

Your second question is actually silly and a little troublesome, do you really think God need a watch and a 24 hour timer to estimate the length of a day... you (apparently) know the Hebrew. Don't limit God like this.

The Bible teaches us that God knows the names of each and every plant created. There are billions of planets and He knows them by name. While knowing this He also keeps track of our lives here on earth and actually counts the hair on our heads and know when you lose one. Who is this God that we can try to limit him and put him in our little boxes? He knew who we were before we were created. He loves us all dearly all we need to do is believe in Him.

David tells us in Psalm 139:16 that God writes the book of our life before we are even born. So God has all the plans for us and our life. The angles are given to help us to live the life God Created us to live.

You really do go to great lengths to be right and you have made the word of God so complicated and confusing that I would suggest that anybody and espicially a young or baby in Christ would walk away from a conversation with you about the bible with their head spinning unless they were already well educated about the Bible. According to Mr. Jonathan Peterson, a content manager for the Bible Gateway the grade level for comprehending the KJV of the bible is set up for a 12th grade level that education that is needed to get a good grasp on understanding the KJV. The ESV requires less education and is set up for a 10th grade level of education.

Your questions are impossible to answer and you know it when you ask them and you know that only God can answer you questions because the answers are not revealed in the Word Of God. That is a form of manipulation and that is spoken of with regards to Jezebel. She had a seductive and corrupting influence on every one around her and my bible calls that "witchcraft" and as the scripture below says, Jezebel had many witchcrafts

God didn't create time God is time and according to the Jewish Calendar there are only 360 days in a year but it is an imperfect calendar so they added a leap year. And the Jewish calendar was given to them by God. Otherwise they would not know that the earth is less then 7000 years old??? Which flies in the face of so called science.
Yes I am accusing you of using witchcraft as in a Jezebel spirit. But not in a hateful way.

Do you think God can not use an atheist scientist to accomplish his purpose? Solomon tells us: "to the sinner He gives the task of gathering". David says: "Come and see the works of God; He is awesome". (Psalm 66:5) God wants us to praise Him for the works He has done. Even Job tells us that: "the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?" (Job38:7) I think that life is too short to listen to negative people that want to grumble and complain and not give God Praise, Honor and Glory for all HE has done.

"To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner He gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind." (Ecc 2:26)

That is fair only I begin at a kindergarten level and build on that. I have four college level teacher training classes for sunday school starting with children one year of age. I realize that I study the Bible at a level that most people will not study at until they get to Heaven. For good reason because we have to sort though the teaching here and we will not have to do that in Heaven.

My father served our community as a physician for over 50 years. Six days a week 12 hours a day. I can assure you that SCIENCE does not have all the answers and solutions. The Bible (Ie God) Does have all of the answers and all of the solutions. That is why I serve God and not Science. There will never be a question God will not give you an answer for. You will never ever have a problem in life that God does not have a solution for. Science far to often creates more problems than they solve and creates more questions than they answer.

Maybe your translation does not have all the answers and solution. That is why we have to go back to the original Bible and study that for ourselves. The Bible is very clear that the HOLY Spirit is to be our Teacher and our Guide. I actually have days I spend up to 18 hours to read, study and learn my Bible. I can remember spending up to 12 hours a day just reading my Bible.

I do not actually know what you are complaining about. It sounds like negativity to me and I like to think on what is good and positive. "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things." (Phil4:8)
