its like saying Mary is the mother of God when actually she is the mother of Jesus, the son of God, but catholics like to play around with words and scripture and abbreviate stuff, and change meanings.

It makes for confusion. so I wouldnt bother arguing when you mean something and a catholic mean something its the same word but they have a totally different meaning.

eg I might pray meaning I talk to God but praying for a catholic could mean just the act of putting their hands together and bowing down to the ground.

My catholic friend ask me, why don't you pray to Mary, she is jesus mother, you know mother have influence to her son like your mother to you

the Catholic church says they do pray to Mary...but who needs them to say that ? when a person is fingering their rosary or prayer beads and saying Hail Mary (etc) that is a prayer. Prayer beads mean anything?

First of all, Catholics actually do spend a lot of time praying directly to God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We do not have to look too far, just a casual peruse of the text of the Mass is evidence enough that the whole celebration is centered on worshiping God the Father, through the Son and in the Holy Spirit.
As to why Catholics “pray to” the saints, more precisely, we petition to the saints to pray for us before God, or to pray with us to obtain favors from God. This is actually not strange at all if we see the saints as our friends.
Both Protestants and Catholics alike would readily agree that it is a Christian practice that we pray for each other and with each other. This is what the disciples did in Jesus’ time, and what the early Christians did in the time of the Acts of the Apostles. Both Protestants and Catholics practise intercession today. We would gather with brothers and sisters to pray for the needs of the community. We would also ask others to pray for particular special needs.

so cute the way they try to dodge it though by saying we pray to the saints (not just Mary but most of us know at least that much) to pray for earthlings to obtain favors fro God and the last indented paragraph there states using saints to pray to so they will pray for, is even more powerful

It’s always difficult when discussing the RCC.
On one hand they were adamant about keeping the NT writings pure and spreading the Gospel. On the other the RCC since it’s foundation has been its own “Faith” so to speak. It’s hard to decipher as there is about 1400 years of Church history.

I feel sorry for the people being drawn into this religion , because they do not realise who they are following...
They worship the pope instead of Jesus , am not saying all in the RCC are , but majority do worship the pope as their god...

I heard some Catholics say they knew more about Mary than Jesus. I could see this as being somewhat true. And the justification is the Church has the authority under the decree of the Pope to say what is and isn’t official Biblical doctrine.

Yes in the words "full of grace" is where their doctrine takes a turn to the dark side and does despite to the Grace of Christ.

They would have others believe it is the grace of Mary as well as the Mercy of Mary .Calling her the Mother of mercy..

She received mercy and grace just as any sinner. Never becoming the source as the venerable ones that would have the Pew Catholics believe. . But only God not seen dispenses grace and mercy according to his finished labor of love, or work of His faith .

Our blessed sister in the Lord Mary was not crucified for the sins of the world .

They say she alone received the fullness of grace.Everyone else a unknow remnant .And ongoing work of hell that reaches beyond this realm under the Sun . For a unknow remnant of time, in unknow place called purgatory .
