A Time for Every Purpose - Ecclesiastes 3:1 - 8

So I'm a devout man, and I make it a point to meditate on the Scripture every day. I've been familiar with these verses of Ecclesiastes 3 for a very long time, and its meaning is very straightforward. Everything is seasonal, and everything will happen with the passage of time.

However, I never really felt connected to this chapter. Not that I didn't understand the meaning, but it never really took root in my heart. This all changed for me after I saw a video on Ecclesiastes 3. There's a visual adaptation of the Scripture that really brought out the poetry of Solomon's words for me. I think it's a really interesting way to relate to the Bible, and it's something that my younger kids seem to appreciate (which is always nice)

Ah, the Book of Wisdom. Certainly Solomon had some things to say in his later years. As for the verses at hand, its a great illustration of polar opposites. Everything has its place and time according to God will. Surly we will have these experiences. As I am a visual person, videos like this really put the words into great imagery an easy to comprehend.

I always considered it to be Jesus' book.

I the Preacher was king over Israel in Jerusalem.

Great video pleasing to the eye .

But we must be careful how we hear understanding by faith and not sight . Looking to the spiritual understanding of the times and seasons by using the prescription using temporal seen to understand the hidden eternal understanding in parables .

Thanks. . I can try. There are seasons of time seen with the eye, reckoned under the Sun. The Sun and moon working as temporal time keepers.

In the new order or heavens and earth . . no sun of moon, no more night. The now hidden glory of God and the lamb will become the source of timelessness..

In that way one of the tools needed to rightly divide parables in once sense changes the seasons from what the eyes see to that which is unseen the eternal viewed by believing as it is written. What the eyes sees can work together but the unseen seasons is the greater witness, as the witness of God not seen.

2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Below the holy Spirit informs us of using the things seen the temporal in order to give us the eternal view. Called signifying the understanding . He then reveals it was a parable that which hides the unseen understanding for the time or season then present .The time there were Kings in Israel a temporal (a form of Paganism) . this was until the reformation and the new season of the lasts days. These are not dispensation of time where God works differently but again times set aside as parables. Mixing the things seen the literal temporal understanding with the things of God not seen not seen without mixing faith

The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation. But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; 8-11
