One of the reason's this thread is so long (I love this thread) is because those who do not believe in eternal salvation given through and kept by the Blood of Jesus Christ just keep plugging along with what they say it takes to "maintain" salvation.

Jesus said this

Matt 7:1-2
Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Put simply if one individual you judge unfairly, so unfairly will you be judged.
You claim the authority and insight of God without any doubt or variance to exercise and condemn people to hell.

Yes your certainty has an appeal, a sense of authority and justice, cutting through the compromise, speaking the truth, dealing with the flim flam, but is this the way of Jesus and His word.

John 5:30
By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgement is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.
Blah blah blah....we are also told to JUDGE ALL THINGS PAL by the word of God, especially false gospels and dogmas that lead people to hell....wake up

John 5:24
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me HAS everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.

Nope those of us who believe in the saving and sealing power of Jesus Christ will assure our eternal salvation. No one says once saved always saved believers imply they can live anyway they choose. Christians have a road map on how to live with the power of the Holy Spirit to guide and help them. We have the perfect example of how to live a life pleasing to God through His Son, Jesus Christ.

First, I did not say you are following anyone, I asked a question, who are you following?

Secondly, where did I say that one works for salvation? You appear to be like those when they cannot respond accordingly they would immediately attack.

Thirdly, I do not believe in luck and you need not call me pal when it is coming out of you sarcastically.
Ok pal, and how would you describe TIME AND CHANCE...??

Your first line in response to @dcontroversal was ..."you cannot substantiate your view from scripture"

Seems clear to me.

Here is some light for you.....

But when this priest had offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 where he is now waiting until his enemies are made a footstool for his feet. 14 For by one offering he has perfected for all time those who are made holy.
Hebrews 10:12-14

So he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
Hebrews 7:24

Here are some people that agree with this light @mailmandan @eternally-gratefull, @EleventhHour, @Rosemaryx, @dcontroversal @Lightskin, @TheDivineWatermark @star and @VCO and many others ...so really who is the one who does not like the light...... pray tell?
Amen.......

Dismissive answer you provide ..... It reminds me of hebrews calling us not to harden our hearts

Heb 3:12-14
See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.
But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness.
We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first.

Sin is a dangerous thing, let it stick around and it destroys our faith.
It is why we need the light of Jesus to cleanse and purify us from all ungodliness

Titus 2:12-14
It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,
while we wait for the blessed hope--the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,
who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

This language is alien to many, especially those with hard hearts.

I see the picture, of conflict, of fighting, of contesting one view against another, of foe and of the brave soldiers.

But the truth is Jesus is our light, and following Him is reflecting that light to others through good deeds.
Rather than conflict, there is service and seeing need and ministering to it. The heroes are those who find
those in the darkest places and bring light, love, eternity and freedom from sin to their souls. Amen.

I apologize if you answered my question and I failed to see it but I will ask you again. Is salvation irrevocable?

Semantics. Gods call to the elect is from the beginning of time, He knows who are His.
But the call is to all, but few are chosen. So it will appear that salvation is revocable, but in the end those that fail were never the elect.

If a farmer sows seed scattering it in a field, the seed on the path, on the rocks, among the weeds will fail. The seed on the good soil will sprout and yield much fruit. It is not exactly difficult to predict or see. Do we choose what type of soil we are or our likelihood of our response? Probably not.

So can you lose what you thought you had. Yes. So we need to be like the good soil and make our salvation what it actually is, walking with Jesus daily. And if we have the imperishable seed growing in our hearts and transforming us, it will as Jesus promised, remain in Him and we will bear much fruit, Amen.

Sorry friend, I’m going to be loving and respectful but unfortunately very direct as well. It doesn’t matter what you THINK you have, what matters is reality. So I will ask you one more time; is salvation irrevocable?

The only time salvation is irrevocable is when you are glorified. To those who overcome will He give right to eat from the tree of life. Till then you live by faith. You heed His warnings. You be on watch against false prophets and doctrines which could lead you away from the faith. Submit yourselves to God daily, and pick up your cross. Walk in newness of life and in love to your fellow man. If you do these things you will not stumble. For He is able to keep you from stumbling.
