So You Want to Attain Righteousness via the Law?

By putting down the law you are putting down God and all His ways. Without law we would have the same conditions the world was in before the flood. Now there are gangs and you need to be armed to be in some of our downtowns, and many of even our highschools are not safe, and even on a Christian site you read about being without law instead of about how to live as God's child. THIS in the name of the wonderful grace that is from God! Anyone who worships and obeys God is called a "Sabbath Keeper" and looked down on. It is shameful.

I agree that I nor anyone can never be perfect as God is and we are only saved through faith, but through faith I put my entire life including my desire to live righteously, in the Lord's hands and bless His grace.

Where did Crossnote "put down the Law"? He gave Scripture, and a very brief summary thereof. It seems that you have a chip on your shoulder about the Law. I'd suggest you deal with that.

It is truly wrong to belittle the work of Christ and elevate yourself to a place where you could even HELP earn what He gives freely in His mercy.

Self righteous was achieved by being blameless walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the law. God’s righteousness is through the faith of Jesus Christ, His obedience unto death, even the death of the cross.

There was nothing wrong with what I said .JESUS is in the sanctuary in heaven doing the high priest Work.

Just like Hebrews tells us He is .

One time He made redemption through His blood and sat down at the right hand of the Father.

Some times GOD uses the unlearn like me . But I prayed to GOD for knowledge , & I mete some people the next morning that gave me some DVDs that I believe that GOD sent them to give the DVDs to me .

By faith HE forgives my sins & makes me clean . This is the faith in JESUS . Then by keeping HIS commandments I can stay clean. & if I sin again I haft to go back to the cross & get HIS blood aplide to that sin also . He that sineth , Is of the davil . That's why HE's still in the sanctuary in heaven being our high priest . & praise GOD for our high priest !!!!!

This thread is about th law as it pertains to sanctification. It is not a thread which is against obedience.

And yet, I know of nobody teaching that the law is our means of righteousness. That is just what others claim. Everyone agrees it is grace that saves us. So, why accuse?
