Something I first thought of when the internet really started taking off was "What sexual lines will it not cross"...

And as we all know, that there is no bounds to the wicked imagination of people.

So, then why?

Why are we like this? Why is sexual sin so wide spread?

It's like the morals are gone, and the internet has made a platform for all this.

But, something I must keep in mind is this: There is nothing new under the SUN.

Why did God Flood the world? I read that the people had become so evil, that GOD actually said "I wished I had never made man".

Now I ask you, since the rise of the internet, and the wide spread sexual sin all over the place, what do you think he is thinking of it?

Do you think HE is mad?

Do you think it grieves him?

I just wish that people would start getting saved and repent of their sins and turn off the internet.

I think the internet was a BAD IDEA. "understatement of the 21 century"

umm i agree. the internet has been the platform for a TON of sin. im sure it grieves God, but i don't think that necessarily makes the internet in and of itself a bad thing. alot of positive things come from the technology of the internet, i think we're all alittle less ignorant because of it :) which is a good thing... but yes for some people it is their downfall.

but does enabling the opportunity of sin make it an evil thing?

it may, it may not. i dont know :) but the good news is, that it can be used as a tool for ministry! i've heard of very effective websites, forums, relationships made, that end up eliciting decisions for Christ. so since it doesn't look like its going away anytime soon, i think that for those of us who don't struggle with sexual sin because of it.. we should really try to utilize it in Christ's name.

Why is this sin so wide spread? Goes back to what happen in that garden! Internet is a good thing bc it reveals the heart of man just where the individual stands. You can go to far to the wrong side and get caught up in areas you should not go! That is why you turn to the Lord with all of your heart and HE will order your steps. Fast, stay in prayer and read the Scriptures every day! If you fall in love with the Lord, these other things will not side track you! Why! Because you are 'on Guard' as you should be! Because I tell the Lord, the fear of God has to be in my heart! He has to order my steps! I want His desires to be my desires! Internet can be a wonderful tool IF you use it for the right purposes and you must have sharp discernment in the sites you go to.
Of course the Lord is not happy with the people here on earth. Read Romans chapter 1. 'Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? ' (Luke 18:8b.) & yes it does grieve Him! And remember, " Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election SURE: for if ye do these things, ye shall NEVER fall ' (2 Peter 1:10)
God bless you!

1: This thread is more than a decade old.
2: The person who started it is long since banned.
3: The only other person who made a statement here is a "guest," not a member anymore and probably long since moved on.

Encouragement is good, remonstrance can be beneficial, but I gotta point out you're talking to the wind here. Nobody's home.

It is a tool. Like any other, it can be misused. We don’t blame the car for the actions of a drunk driver. We don‘t blame a rifle for the actions of a murderer. For all the ills that come along with it, a site like this could not exist without it. My church has a terrific website and we’ve had ten new families join in the past year. For the weekday feast of St, Nicholas, we adults were outnumbered by the kids.

'.So shall My Word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall NOT return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.' Isaiah 55:11

i have never been on any chat room, Facebook or whatever due to how busy I have been & still am, until recently. I am trying to keep up with all this technology. So bare with me... :)
