I'm reminded of a story I once heard about a world traveler. This gentleman was fascinated with churches, and so wherever he went in the world he'd always go and visit the local church no matter where he was. And in many churches he found a golden phone that had a sign on it that said $500, or £300 when he was in England, or $300 Euros. In each of these churches he'd ask "What is the golden phone for and why is it so expensive to use"? The answer was always the same, it was explained that the phone was to call heaven and speak to God.
Years go by and our intrepid traveller finds his way to the area around Olympia Washington, and as is his custom he visits a church there. In this church he finds the same golden phone he's seen all over the world, but instead of hundreds of dollars the sign says 50 cents.
He asks someone what the phone is for and, as with all the others, he's told its a phone to call heaven and speak to God. When he explains that he's been to churches all over the world and that many have the same type of phone, but the call costs hundreds of dollars its explained to him: "Oh, this is Washington State, for us its a local call".
