So this debate over the medical system there, how do you like it esp compared to the US set-up here? I didn't realize you are in Canada, is it very cold? Cold to me is under 50F.
I cannot imaging having to go to the hospital for a few days and ending up with a debt I would never be able to pay off in my lifetime. Our health care system that way, despite any draw backs, is great. There are problems but I think mostly it is with the approach to health care and what is allowed. By approach, I mean not enough emphasis is put on preventative care, and doctors seem largely in the pockets of multinational pharmaceutical companies who couldn't care less about people as long as the profits keep amassing. More alternative methods should be allowed and covered, but as in many other things, those with power and control do not wish to relinquish it and cede to newer and possibly better ways.
