Greetings saints.

I visited another church a few Sundays ago. As the Lady pastor was sharing the word, God said to me, look around you, look at each and everyone of them. And then He said "a life lived outside your purpose for existence, is a life lived ineffectively.

Genesis 1:26.

Well, God didn't say anything to you, its just your own delusion.

Walk by Faith, don't walk by your senses and feelings.

God has spoken to us in His word, that is God's way of tellings us things.

Alot of Christians do this, yet they don't realize that there hearts are deceitful and desperately wicked by nature, they can't trust themselves, this is why you must live by what God has said in His Word.

God never put a verse in the bible that says for example:
Genesis 37:40 "look around you, look at each and everyone of them. And then He said "a life lived outside your purpose for existence, is a life lived ineffectively, And then He said "a life lived outside your purpose for existence, is a life lived ineffectively."

I cant find it bro.

George Muller said "if i'm following voices and impressions, then i am a most deluded person."

Welcome to CC, Mpopi. :)
Perhaps you could flesh out the connection you see between the message you received and the verse you cited.

I would prefer not to derail this thread, but this warrants a response.

Nowhere does Scripture say or imply that God does not speak outside of Scripture (actually, it does the opposite). Further, your argument is self-refuting: Scripture itself would not exist if that were the truth, because at any time, all revelation outside of then-extant Scripture could not have been God speaking.

On the contrary, Scripture teaches us to test the messages (and messengers) we receive against Scripture.

Hmm pretty sure your just making stuff up, if you want provide scriptures where God speaks in audible voices to the saints, as in word for word speech, like this guy claimed.

Even if He did, it would be pretty rare, since he has given us his word and it's generally stupid to follow voices and attach God's name to it.

First and foremost, what are you doing going to a church where there's a lady pastor (1 Tim 2:11-15)?
Secondly, be careful when you say that God spoke to you, for it may be the other source of inspiration. In other words, if you are going to claim that the insight that you have to offer came from the Most High, it better be profound, wise and glorifying to God.
Thus, as Dino246 said, could you please explain the significance behind your perceived 'epiphany' and Genesis 1:26, and allow us 'test the spirit' and decide for ourselves if what you claim came from God, actually did (1 John 4:1)? In other words, I personally won't just accept it as such, simply because you claim it to be so (it's a very audacious statement to claim that God is speaking directly to you).
And again, if you're attending a Church where there's a woman pastor, I'm already doubting your understanding of scripture, and thus, your understanding of inspiration.

"Lady pastor" you said? No such thing in the Bible. That is your first clue that the Church you were in was unbiblical in the way its operated. That is forbidden, and while many have come in this time of apostasy to try and twist and turn those verses to fit the culture of today, the word of the Lord still stands. The letters of Paul were not cultural, but rather words of the Lord that Paul is communicating, wisdom revealed unto him by Jesus. This I will not debate, there is no debate about it.

Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 14:34-35; 1 Timothy 2:12

Truth of God is never popular and people will reject it, as they have in every generation.

If God said anything, He would have told him to get out of there...NOW!😀

There have always been Holy Spirit filled womaen……..Sorry some deny them.

Remember, in the sight of our Father there are no men and not women, just souls…………..People tend to see and preach only what they want to without hearing and understanding all of the Word.

Where did the OP talk about "audible voices"?

I'll address your snarky comment later.

And how exactly would one test what @Mpopi heard against scripture?

When our Father speaks to one of His children or many, they know.

As for testing His utterances, it seems this would be unwise. If you do not know He has spoken, He most likely has not.

Yeah, right off, I knew this was just gonna be another Thread bashing women in the Ministry.
It shouldn't be overlooked, ..but some of us did address the intended issue also, but, due to the concern of the inadvertent issue, it does make the initial issue suspect.
