Christian Chat is a moderated online Christian community allowing Christians around the world to fellowship with each other in real time chat via webcam, voice, and text, with the Christian Chat app. You can also start or participate in a Bible-based discussion here in the Christian Chat Forums, where members can also share with each other their own videos, pictures, or favorite Christian music.
If you are a Christian and need encouragement and fellowship, we're here for you! If you are not a Christian but interested in knowing more about Jesus our Lord, you're also welcome! Want to know what the Bible says, and how you can apply it to your life? Join us!
What brings you to CC besides the usual reasons (boredom, the need for conversation, and so forth)?
I work a kind of marketing job and sometimes haunt this place when I have a killer case of writer's block. It's why I've been here this past week anyhow.
I'm drawn to Christian forums because of fascination more than faith. Millions of people believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. There must be some truth in that. And I want to say there is a "whole lotta truth" in that. Then you might say " there's more than a whole lotta truth in that. It IS the truth, you simpleton!"
Atheist style forums bore me. Scientific and logical thinking has its merits but if visible evidence is our only hope in life, then that is a huge disappointment. I want to believe! Tolkien teaches us that the life of the imagination is important. And stories are important. Why not pay attention to the greatest story ever told?
And I still agonise over the meaning of some gospel verses like " easier for a rich man to get into heaven than a camel to get through the eye of a needle" and of course "turn the other cheek". So many intepretations. But is there only one single meaning?
Forums mostly populated by atheists (I've never participated in an official atheist forum) are depressing places. Discussing philosophy with them is like talking about an apple with somebody who fixates on its color and nothing else.

Kahlil Gibran (a Persian poet) wrote some very touching prose which was immortalized in a book called "The Prophet." Like anything wonderfully meaningful, it was eventually parodied by a book supposedly penned by Kehlog Albran titled "The Profit" One of the truisms put forth in the latter was the fact that it is easier to get a camel through the eye of a needle if you first grease the camel Some claim the eye of the needle is an entrance into Jerusalem that fully loaded camels had difficulty transversing, but I think it simply underscores the fact that the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil By the way, you stated it backwards, for it is not easier for a rich man to get into heaven than a camel to get through the eye of a needle, but easier to get a camel through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven Sorry, I could not turn the other cheek on that

Today I have a cold so its one of the few things can do socially without spreading germs.
But in general its because its nice to chat about life in Christ when at work or in families you the only believer out and dont have that connection with others on the same journey.
I think CC is one of the best christian forums Ive been on so far so I'm sticking round for a bit.
