What's middle class where you live?

Well in the 2 states i go back and forth here in Germany..officially 3000€ per month brutto is called middle class tho many get around 1500-2500...excluding (for a single without child) up to 48% gets taken for taxes and insurance.

I’m lucky, we have insurance here for people who are “non earners” such as myself. Or at least make less than poverty level. Since I’m 28 I’m technically a different household wage than my mother.

So like if it was just me I’d be literally in a box.

Because the languages have become confused, "Communism” means different things now.

He certainly is a critic of anti-capitalism and anti-imperialist movements. Some have called him anti-American because of that but probably because he speaks out about neoliberalism. He seems to advocate that realities are distorted or suppressed by an elite corporatocracy, which uses corporate media, advertising, and think tanks to promote its own propaganda.

I guess his definition of “class” has some weight - after all the “working class” work for the rulers and follow their orders whichever way you look at it.

We must resist allowing the working class from decending into indentured servitude or serfdom. The Capitalists' that don't study history still haven't learned what caused Russia to turn to the Communistic revolution from the beginning. If they want to prevent a revolution they should help the people feel as worthy and worthwhile as the leadership and Capitalists' think they are, or heads will roll. Again.

I learned all about communism in high school. We read Animal Farm for .english and studied Russia in social studies.

This was just after 1992 when communism collapsed in many east eurpean countries and the soviet untion became russia again. We didnt study China though. I had no clue what happened there until I read Wild .swans. I think that came out around in 1995 although the book was banned in China.

JUng Chang who wrote the book, wrote several others, she wrote one on Mao, I havent read, but I have read her other book on the Dowager empress Cixi, and she visited nz and talked about her book.

In most countries there will be some kind of class system, basically its the haves and have nots. The haves have all the land and rule it and the have nots have no land and serve the haves. Thats the main difference.

I guess the middle class is all those who are stuck in between.

I read animal farm in 1969 & 1984 in 1970. I guarded ICBM's in 1973 & 74 during Viet Nam, Ho Chi Mien & Nixon.

So true. I think politics can work if you have honest and God fearing leaders and when things get too "left" they often swing "right" and back again. Who really knows what the world would be like if we had leaders who actually did things without greed collectively and for the benefit of the people? There is only one question in all politics - no matter what party you are. How do you stop corruption?

In Europe it is found regularly - where some of my family live in Spain, the town they live in has had 8 Mayors in ten years - everyone of them has been kicked out (or even arrested) for corruption. In fact, three days after the Spanish PM at the time, announced to the press that "there was no corruption in my Government", over 70 politicians were arrested for corruption by the police. Yes 70. If this is the case in one place, it is usually not isolated. In England it is far better - you would never hear of a tax official being bribed here or if you did it would be highly unusual. I have nothing against any party as they are all needed in certain climates - but I have no time for Labour politicians who hate the rich and spend so much time spitting resentful hate at them that they cannot help the poor at all , nor Conservatives who hate the poor or even just dont care about them. George Orwell pointed this out.

Most schools would do well to make kids read George Orwell's "1984" and Huxley's "Brave New World". They are supposed to be scary and a warning as its a scary world. Otherwise everyone would know what it was like for George Orwell in "Down and Out in Paris and London".

Lets face it - with God fearing leaders - there would be no corruption as they would be led to not covert money and would "love their God and love their neighbour" . Can you imagine a world where all laws were scrapped, the whole system was dumped and those two laws were written in stone? Yes imagine. Even so come Lord Jesus.
