Sorry you "see" it "that" way! Is salvation by grace through faith ALL you desire?
It is not by works one is saved! But it is by works AND sacrifices of one's "spirit" "ACCEPTABLE to God, BY Jesus Christ, that one "makes" oneself "Spiritually Mature."
To DO this?
One MUST leave the "doctrines of Christ!" aka MILK!!
Hebrews 6
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection (aka "maturity); not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
But? That's when it starts getting tough!
Exodus 23
19 "The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the Lord thy God." Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him. (this means "love" is not going to cover yer trangressions)
These are places where "grace does NOT abound!"
Yet!? One is STILL "Saved!"
Although, one may not FEEL as "mooshy gooshy saved", as when one first believed?
YOU ARE!
Spiritually Mature? No! Saved? Yes!
But? You wanna go on and tell and teach people that "mooshy-gooshy" feeling is all that is required?
Go right on ahead!
It DOES have its place!
But, I guess Paul didn't know what he was talking about, concerning "remaining in sin, so grace may abound", though, eh?
You people who claim you "follow Paul like Paul followed Christ?"
Can't even get THAT right!
-smh
