Anyone ever hear the story of a woman walking down the street at night and passing a man who made her shutter, fearing for her life? It turns out he did not hurt her but later that evening the same man murdered a different woman.

The first woman heard of the murder and approached the man sometime afterward in jail and asked if he remembered her. He acknowledged remembering her to which she asked him why he did not harm her. He laughed and said he couldn’t because of the two big guys walking next to her...

She was alone.

All kinds of variations of such stories. Problem is they've never been proven to be anything more than that. Stories.

Shudder. Figure it out.
How rude! I was only asking a polite question so I could respond in an appropriate manner.
There a few people on here who could do with learning something valuable - it's called MANNERS.

I lack manners, and if you knew me you would understand and still love me to pieces despite of it.

I apologize and mean no disrespect. Thank you for inquiring on the subject. I spelled shutter when I should have spelled out shudder.

Shutter pertains to windows.
Shudder pertains to fear. I misspelled the word and I apologize for being rude. ❤️

But the likelyhood of that being accurate is pretty slim.
No, it isn't.
You're on a forum that recognizes Jesus Christ and the Gospel.
Here, we believe that an angel appeared to Mary and told her of God's plan to have she who was in God's grace to give birth to the Savior of the world.
A woman walking alone at night with two "men" accompanying her, according to a convicted murderer who was dissuaded from making her his victim due to those companions presence, is a cake walk in relative comparison.
Angels are all throughout the Bible.
We don't believe the liklihood of those reports accuracy is pretty slim.

Do you not believe in garden angles? It seams like that is the only problem here...

The Bible tells us Heb. 13:2 we could be entering angels unaware. I named my garden angles, Herb and Harriet... equal opportunity employment...lol....

I read the OP as is and knew what was meant when reading shutter.
To be fair, I think manners also entails deference, so as to realize a typo does not preclude one inferring what is actually meant.

( Some versions of spell check have a way of over writing what a person intends to say...... thus making it NOT the user, but the spell checker stating something ;) which sometimes can become very funny........... )

As for the thread topic and the OP:

Has anyone ever experienced nearly being in a wreck by mere seconds or inches?
Coincidence?
I think NOT.......
Scripture makes many references to the angels watching over us.........

in fact, I'm not one to sit down and write journals, but I have been considering doing so, if only to write about my own experiences as well as situations my husband and children (all 10 and UNDER ) have encountered and shared.

One being something very similar to the OP story:

There is a trail I love to walk on here, it goes through the woods. It's usually pretty quiet when I go in the mornings, a few of the usual bike riders pass by, and the dog/owner but for the most part it's pretty still and quiet which is part of why I love it. So peaceful and pretty, and I love to listen to praise and worship while taking my walks.
There is an older gentleman that I usually see in passing and smile/nod at.
One day when I saw him approaching I took my headphones off as he was crossing over towards me.
We said our hellos and good mornings, found out he lives near the end of the trail (about 4 miles from where we were) and just goes out for long (nearly 8 miles by the time he's done) walks a few times weekly.
He said since a couple of girls were attacked and raped in the area a few years back ( I've never heard about that, but I only just started walking this trail this past year) his wife no longer likes to walk out there with him. Then shows me his pepper spray (that sprays a red paint like substance ) and talked about where he bought it and the price etc.....
he then looks past me, smiles and points then said "Of course, whenever I see you that big man is also walking not to far behind, so as long as he's around you'll be okay"
I turned to look because as far as I knew no one (earthly/ humanly) was following me, and when someone is, they usually pass me up.
I had such a peace (you know the kind that passes all understanding ;) ) when he said that.
I turned back to him and wanted to change the subject and chat a little more, but the man said "well enjoy your day" and walked off........

Nope. Neither do I believe in garden gnomes.

Have you ever seen that game where a person starts by choosing a single line and whispers it to the next. And it goes down a line of people and by the end it's barely even the same line? Or often not close at all?
Ever heard gossip only to find out the original story isn't near as bad as the gossip makes it sound?
To believe that a story of unknown origin, with no location, no timeframes no source and passed through an indeterminate number of people is still 100% accurate requires naivety or ignorance.
Also claiming that this story is inaccurate due to all of what I just said has nothing at all to do with whether or not angels are real. The comment was about This One Story. So I'd thank you not to put words in my mouth.

I don't think it's strange at all to believe in Guardian Angels. I knew an Assemblies of God Pastor that told me and believed a similar story.

You're referring to the game , Telephone.
Sounds like you are desperate to believe angels couldn't possibly exist. And no, I'm not putting words in your mouth. Rather, I am reading the words you post in this thread that speak through allusion what you will not say outright and yet is still there to be heard.

Also claiming that this story is inaccurate due to all of what I just said has nothing at all to do with whether or not angels are real. The comment was about This One Story. So I'd thank you not to put words in my mouth.
This is the thing that is wrong with your assumption. See above in reply to, putting words in your mouth.
Secondly, you're putting too much into this. If you don't believe the story, that's cool. Just don't work so hard to convince others to see it your way.

The Cokeville Elementary school incident is on record and has names, dates, and times. And angels.
