I am raising money for the poor in India Christain peta Atmakur district through Edward Parsipogu. We provide bore wells for clean water, bibles, blankets, food, clothing and every other necessity for the poor in India. Give what the Lord Jesus puts on your heart. Or just simply pray for or share this campaign. https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-for-poor-brothers-and-sisters-in-india-ijn

Thank you, nice to meet a fellow Tarheel! Yes, we have so much natural beauty here. I've been blessed to have lived in almost every region of NC. Also, that's wonderful that your wife is a nurse! It was a nice summer, though we must agree to disagree about this week's cold snap... Haha, I'll take the 100 deg heat anytime! P.S. How did you fare during Florence and Dorian?
Florence gave us some rain, Dorian, only black clouds. It seems that every hurricane rearranges the geography of the Outer Banks.

Have you climbed the Hatteras Lighthouse, visited with the Banker Ponies, seen the "Lost Colony" drama, gone flounder gigging (from a boat), deep sea (or pier) fishing, visited the deserted village of Portsmouth Island, gone hang gliding on Jockeys Ridge, etc? There is so much to do on the Outer Banks. Yes, we have been blessed.......also with the Blue Ridge Mountains and Parkway, etc.!

Have a nice weekend.

PS. Why are those storms called "Hurricanes" and not "Himacanes"? lol!!!

It is interesting how there was significantly more damage inland in these last two storms (aside from Okracoke, of course). My county was really hit hard... I hope to be back in my own home soon. Yes, our ever-changing coastline... have you seen the newly formed Shelly Island yet?

I have done all those things except flounder gigging and hang gliding! Have you seen Tryon Palace, walked the mile-high swinging bridge at Grandfather Mountain, gone swimming at Rainbow Falls, or visited the Jungle Aviation and Radio Service (JAARS) center? If you get the opportunity, you should definitely check those out too! They are pretty amazing. :)

Hello from beautiful North Carolina!
I've actually been using this site for a couple months now, but thought I would formally say hello... It's been so encouraging to meet brothers and sisters from around the world and fellowship with everyone. So, a little about me: I come from a musical background and ministry heritage, but I personally am currently working on a degree in Nursing and Global studies. My dream is to work as an international nurse missionary one day, Lord willing.
Anyway, I wish everyone the best and may God bless you!
Hi Natash9 and welcome to ChristianChat. I myself joined earlier this year. You goal to be an international missionary nurse is very commendable. God bless you!
