Many people here are souls just waiting to be with Him one day praising and worshipping our Jesus. 🙌

Do you have moments of eternal thinking? I do and it brings me peace.

Mike, excellent question!
Yes. In the last several years this has been a growing thought in my mind. I believe it will transform the way a person livesonce it gets to their heart/soul.

"To live is Christ, to die is gain"

Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ.

Again, excellent point!

It does change your objectives, to be sure, which changes the way you measure the success of your life, which will change your actions.

I sometimes try to imagine what it will be like in heaven. I can’t quite, but I like whatever I think about.

Absolutely. I often ponder how peaceful the new Earth will be, when Jesus is worshipped as King of King and Lord of Lords.

Revelation 21 Verse 1 & 2.

21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”[a] for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bridebeautifully dressed for her husband.

I went to see Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes a couple nights ago.... and a couple songs just put me in a state of reflection and worship of Jesus. It’s such a powerful passionate and personal time with Him. Eternity > things of this earth

I don't pretend to understand but I look forward to a time when I will be everything He intended for me to be. Seeing Him, and understanding Him, being able to love Him back in a way that lifts His heart will be all I could want.

Amen, we don’t have all the answers but Jesus does! I love going to praise and worship concerts... it’s a little taste of what eternity will be like I think.

I have all sorts of imaginings.

Yesterday on the way home I was looking at the trees shedding their leaves and all the
autumn colours.

Then I thought that it looks beautiful but it’s a sign of decay and how everything
dies and decays no matter how beautiful it is.

Then I started wondering if all the death and decay upsets God when He looks
on His creation.

Then I just got this thought “one day I will make it all new and there will be no
more tears or death or decay and you will see creation in all its glory as I
intended it to be in all its proper colours, forever.”

I’ve seen the movie and the band Mercy Me live. Really good song! I did not think of that song when I posted this but it definitely would apply to this thread!

Exactly Brother Mike ! I’m moved to tears by song lyrics. Passages in the Bible. Even the beauty in our fall sky. It’s so overwhelming to think what heaven will be like. That we are going there someday. Our time on earth is only temporary. Heavens gates wait for us. How do you even fathom such great love to create for us such a place.

I have imagined, yes... A song says what I imagined better than I can though.

"Will we smile when we get to Heaven?
Laugh all the hours away?
Or cry for the friends we left behind
Along the way?"

Do you see God as this sadistic speed cop in the sky, not giving a chance some fairly good people just because they git disillusioned with religion? Let's face it, we all got put off by pushy Christians at times.

Even Abraham was concerned about the lost condition of those that know not God. He showed that when he interceded for the people of Sodom (see Gen. 18:22-33).

What if I said some of those Sodomites still have a chance to repent? Jesus even implied such: Mark 6:11 "And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city."

If people are resurrected for judgment and then just condemned and destroyed, how could it be tolerable? How are you going to be comfortable when you know your aunty is burning in hellfire? She was a pretty good old gal but just wouldn't commit to Jesus. Or maybe a brother or sister?

Why not learn about the Jesus I know and love? God's salvation plan is a lot more inclusive than most think. I am not a universalist. I believe those that love evil will be destroyed. It is the best thing that can happen to them. But God is not done with the rest of this world's inhabitants.

I see God as the prince of peace and arms wide opened for anyone who chooses to believe. God is love. He died on the cross for everyone. I am not the one who will judge, that’s Gods doing. I’m just here to love my neighbor. I say stubborn out of frustration, but I won’t push. I will let them know of the God that is in my heart and they can choose their path. In the end, I hope Heaven is crowded.

Interesting you said this as my aunty passed away earlier this year. As far as I know she was not a believer, she had a lot of hurt and hatred in her heart for what was done to her. She was a good person. For what God decides or I should say has decided, is the pre destined choice from Him. Is it up to me to decide what Gods pre destined will for us is tolerable or not? The way I see it God is the beginning and the end. We are given free will to alter people’s eternal destiny that is within His pre destined plan for our life.
