After work, I got the best treat ever,. My daughters asked me out to dinner. I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard. It was so fun.

I think that as a single person, I do not do enough laughing. I was reminded that I don't laugh enough.

Do you laugh often?

I don't as often as I would like or should myself. But, I do use every opportunity I get to find the humor in life.

I am always laughing at something or other, even black humour. Jesus and I share jokes and humours stories often. The following was in a relationship meme " I had to go next door and help Susannah, my next door neighbour bury a rolled up carpet in the woods, apparently her boyfriend is out of town and couldn't help" I roared with laughter when I read that!

Cats are fun. Too bad I am allergic.

I laugh quite a bit, but have a dark and sarcastic sense of humor at times. There have been some moments where I might have crossed the line into cutting sarcasm.

Humor does help a lot with getting through dark times. I tend to watch a lot of funny videos, stand up, some sitcoms like It’s Always Sunny, etc.

There is a downside sometimes, too. My therapist and some of my support group friends like to get on my case for covering up feelings and what not with humor.

I would tell the "therapist" and your "support group friends" that their criticism is causing me to cover up my true feelings with humor. Let them chew on that for a minute. lol

Laughing is good medicine right? I would also tell them, maybe I need to find a new therapist and new support group that use sarcasm to make me laugh. It might not be a good fit here.

Nah. They both have a point, and I appreciate that they call me out on it. They do also tell me they like my humor, just not when it is used to mask other things.

Alright. Do what you must.

Wow I have not heard or seen a Daria reference in a long long time. From what I remember, it was an interesting show.

I wake myself up laughing sometimes. I think I learned to use humor very early as a coping mechanism. I once heard the best way to make God laugh is to tell Him "your" plans for "your" life.
