No

The english equivalent would be hades, proven by the greek word used in acts, which quotes the same passage, and hence where the english word comes from.
Umm, I have already defined in my previous post what English Hades is which is said to be impure but when we say Hell for the Hebrew Sheol, we easily understand what it is.

As I have lived through this, and was chosen at a young age, I totally agree with the above . Its a gift given via the Holy Spirit to enable people to fulfil a role later in the world. We are redeemed by generosity, kindness, mercy, love and grace. No amount of saved kittens or puppies will get you the same gift.

I to had lived through a VERY similar experience. Yes, at my conversion after my 3rd attempt at suicide the last week of 1977, I had Wave after Wave of DEEP, DEEP remorse for my Utterly Sinful Lifestyle. But there was something more to that conversion experience, that I usually leave out of my testimony. Perhaps I should not have left it out, but I was afraid that most would have made fun of it.

I had a vision or a dream, not sure which, where I was on my knees before the Cross, reaching up to HIM, BEGGING HIM FOR FORGIVENESS, over and over again. Something strange caught my eye, that NO ONE HAD TAUGHT ME ANYTHING ABOUT. THE NAILS WERE THROUGH HIS WRISTS. {Years later I learned that Jews considered the wrists to be part of the hand.} As I was watching the NAILS in bewilderment, I saw blood come out, and fall, splashing on my raised forearms. THE BLOOD FELT WARM as it SPLASHED THERE. I KNEW I HAD BEEN TOTALLY FORGIVEN! That was where the Vision or Dream ended.

I believe HE HAD A PLAN FOR MY LIFE, and HE WOULD GUIDE ME THROUGH THE TRAINING TO BE QUALIFIED for POSITION HE WANTED ME TO TAKE. I was working in the Post Office on the night crew, where we were allowed to listen with a headset, to a Walkman cassette player, while we sorted mail. He Lead me to some outstanding BIBLE TEACHERS, for almost 10 years. I listened to as many as 4 one hour tapes a night. I had over 500 Cassettes, and I listened to everyone of the cassettes at least 4 times each. Most were by Dr. John MacArthur, and some be other TEACHERS, and all were Conservative evangelicals; no wild and doctrinally unsound in the bunch.

HE eventually put it on my heart to move to California, WHEN, I personally thought there are nothing but Fruits and Nuts there, so who would ever want to live there. HE motivated me to get INVOLVED in Prison Ministy. AND I KNEW THAT WAS MY CALLING. I moved to another town and Volunteered at the end of the line, supermax Prison there. I was accepted as a Volunteer Protestant Prison Chaplain, with NO BIBLE COLLEGE, just those TAPES. I was there for 9.5 years, then moved again to another town with a supermax Prison, and Volunteered for 5.5 more years, until I retired from the Post Office.

Yes, I moved back to Nebraska, when my wife died unexpectedly, almost 4 years ago.

WRONG!

Psalm 16:10 (HCSB)
10 For You will not abandon me to Sheol [ A Hebrew word for either the Grave, or the Realm of the Dead.]; You will not allow Your Faithful One to see decay.

Isaiah 5:14 (HCSB)
14 Therefore Sheol [ A Hebrew word for either the Grave, or the Realm of the Dead.] enlarges its throat and opens wide its enormous jaws, and down go Zion’s dignitaries, her masses, her crowds, and those who carouse in her!
With due respect, but you should learn when to draw the appropriate distinction from the particular context. The KJB translators knew too well to translate Sheol. In fact, they did the translated it 31x as "Hell", 31 x as "grave" and 3x as "pit". So what Lexicon did you use sir?

The KJV is only a Paraphrase, not an actually Translation. The Original 1611 KJV PREFACE, admitted it in there PREFACE.
You put the KJV WAY TO HIGH ON A PEDESTAL.

You do realize that the original writings have been long gone for years don't you. All we have today are fragments coming from two different manuscript lines.

People are piecing those fragments together to do their translating.

Ahh, I just thought we are into a discussion of the word of God. Previous English translation of the bibles is good yet there is one principal good one translation that is to be made. I sense citing me "wrong" is no sense but thanks for the interaction. I would hope next time we will be able to discuss the scripture of truth.

That’s not correct. While it is true that we do not have the originals,We have literally millions of pages of text of the NT. There are more than 5,000 manuscripts, and the average length is like, if I’m not mistaken, the average size is like 450 pages. Might not be exact about the average number of pages

Macabeus, @dcontroversal did not quote you at all nor mention you in the post he made with the points. That was a reply to my question to him. Since he did not mention you in the post, it is best not to assume he was talking about you.
If DC is going to like your post, pretending he was not referring to me, and if EG and UG also agree, when they know exactly who point h was directed against, that is very indicative 😮

I think @UnderGrace, has a point. What you are doing in this statement can be described as "mind reading" which is a faulty way of thinking about things, meaning it is not based on fact. If you think someone is talking about you, why not ask in a way that is gracious and kind? You may find that you were wrong. However unless you ask, you cannot know for sure.

NEWER ACTUAL TRANSLATIONS, Were based on OLDER ORIGINAL LANGUAGE MANUSCRIPTS.

The KJV is just a Paraphrase, Largely just updating the old style English to the way that KING JAMES spoke the language, and YES, many scholars OBJECTED VEHEMENTLY that it was taboo, to change the Language to the way King James spoke it. SOUNDS FAMILIAR DON'T IT.

The exact SAME THING, most KJV ONLY do TO Modern Translations. You seem to tolerate most of the Modern TRANSLATIONS, but you know how most KJV ONLY Believers treat other Bible Translations.

The Translators, also admitted the KNOWN ERRORS in the OLDER ENGLISH VERSIONS, they REFERRED to the Septuagint, and the LATIN translation of the BIBLE. NEITHER ONE OF THOSE ARE IN THE ORIGINAL LANGUAGE, and THEREFORE they RELIED HEAVILY on those TRANSLATIONS being CORRECTLY translated. SO THEY NEVER WENT TO THE ORIGINAL LANGUAGES to VERIFY that they were Correctly INTERPRETED. So errors in BOTH the Septuagint and the Latin Bible, just got carrying over to the KJV, as well as UNKNOWN ERRORS IN THE Older English VERSIONS. THAT IS THE PROBLEM with a Paraphrased VERSION, which the KJV IS.

I agree with KJV1611, your post like this one is of another thread and I am open to any discussion especially translation. I somehow reacted to your other post since they are related to the general word "salvation". Actually, you are just giving me the basic arguments over the Bible Version issue. This is off-topic, however, citing a verse and proving them it is correct is fine with me. We can discuss. With respect sir...Thank you.

He quoted you bro, he gotchu there. Thats some WEEEIRD teaching that nobody is ever heard of. STRAIGHT UP

No dishonesty he showed the quote, hows that dishonest everyone can read the quote no matter how he "embellished" it. WHO EVEN KNOWS what the word embellished means. thats the real story here.

And I dont care how dishonest people are or how evil, I dont roll with snitches NOR snitching under NO circumstances thats how we do it, offline and online. Why'd you want him to get banned if you two agree on salvation you should be brothers instead of enemies.
Im fine with not engaging if you wish I can whip out the IGNORE function (instead of reporting and trying to get you banned), I dont deal with snitches, thats what we DO know. Im not in no cult of DC where I have to back up some weird teaching i dont believe in!

I hope you and KJV reconcile one of these days, you DO agree on the salvation part so you SHOULD. God bless you and hopefully you stop trying to get brothers banned on christian chat. thats  he didnt even call you no names or nothing.
Just for everyone's knowledge, on more than one occasion, when someone has re-quoted somebody else's post, they have rewritten part of the post from it's original form. I AM NOT saying anyone on this thread has done that recently.. only that it DOES happen sometimes.. Other than that, I dunno.. lol
