The Pauline only adherents have Jesus ,Peter, and James preaching a different gospel than Paul.

That means, according to Paul, they are cursed.
Paul repeats it twice.

Even the great commission is baloney to the hyper paulines

Good question. I guess because this is an open-christian forum where different views are tolerated. Otherwise this would turn into an echo chamber of people preaching to the choir so to speak, patting each other on the back. "GOOD JOB BRO, YOU TOLD EM"

I do agree that the great commision is FOR TODAY and its only ONE GOSPEL, otherwise we got someone under a curse! I do know they say yeah one gospel NOW, then later its a different one. so basically one gospel at a time.

Well there are several things I don't understand why CC allows. But I think they allow most to participate to a certain point. When anyone goes overboard they call it. JMO

I am as pro paul as the next guy.

It has to be some anti Christ spirit at work,to seek anullment of the apostles, the books of the bible, and JESUS.
They tamper with the non negotiable pillars of the bible and faith.

(Excerpt from article I wrote about 15 years ago. Maybe clears up some of your confusion. I won`t hold my breath tho.)

“But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.” (Galatians 2:7-9)

This passage of scripture affirms two gospels and two churches. They are two folds made into one fold, having one Shepard. (John 10:16) Baptized by the same Spirit into the same body. And the two gospels are connected together becoming one faith. Paul preached a simple message of Christ and Him crucified. (1st Corinthians 1:23, 2:2) This is the preaching of the kingdom gospel. There are things from the kingdom gospel that must be applied to the grace gospel to achieve a full understanding of it. In my essay on the grace gospel I pulled quite a few things from the kingdom gospel because it made a better understanding of grace. Likewise the Jewish believers received and studied Paul’s epistles and a modern Jewish believer living the life of an original believer must understand Paul’s gospel in order to come into full knowledge of the truth.

Paul himself, along with the other Jewish believers who worked with him maintained their ties to the church of Peter and they continued Torah observance as they lived among the Gentiles. (Acts 21) Paul also obtained the endorsement of the Jewish Church for the Gentile church. (Acts 15) Paul never encouraged Jewish believers to stop following the Torah and he supported the doctrines of the circumcision church.

“But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches. Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised. Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.” (1st Corinthians 7:17-20)

Paul position on this point is plain to see. Those who are called to the church of Peter are meant to remain in the church of Peter. Those who are called to the church of Paul are meant to remain in the church of Paul. The establishment of the Gentile churches did not change the gospel and commandments that Jesus Christ had already given the Jewish church. However, the grace gospel was received and applied in the Jewish church just as the kingdom gospel is received and applied by the Gentile church. There are three passages on this point that I know of.

“But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” (James 1:25)

“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.” (James 2:10-12)

“And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.” (2nd Peter 3:15-16)

The books of James and Peter were epistles written to the Jewish circumcision believers. The law of liberty James refers to is Paul’s teaching on the law. Paul uses the word liberty ten times in the epistles always in reference to the liberty of the Gentiles regarding the Torah. The first verse from James reveals that Jewish believers were studying and accepting Paul’s doctrine on the law. James encourages those who continue in the law of liberty to do the works that the law of love demands. In the second verse from the book of James we see James telling the Jewish believers to speak and act like those who follow the law of liberty. It`s a pretty powerful endorsement of Paul’s doctrine.

The verse from second Peter is one I’ve quoted before. We see in this verse that Paul was a beloved brother to the Jewish believers and his epistles were circulated among Jewish believers and were considered scripture. The gospel of grace had a tremendous impact on the Jewish church.

God allowed the circumcision church to decline and eventually disappear for many centuries. Christians who assume that God is done with the circumcision church are gravely mistaken. The circumcision church has reappeared in our day as the Messianic movement. It is a move of God’s Spirit to restore them as God prepares to bring this age to a close.

There's no disagreement between Paul and the rest of the apostles. If you were reading that something Paul said, and it contradicts something that Peter said, I think you are misunderstanding something.

I think people who don't understand Christianity have a problem with Paul.

They WANT Jesus and Peter and James to contradict Paul. But they don't. They just explain different things in different ways. Sometimes they explain the same things in different ways.

But if you don't understand Paul you will NOT understand the Lord Jesus. Plain and very simple.

Good morning everyone. There many topics, subjects and christian and non-christian theology. On Orthodox Christianity CC is very much there however there are those who hold to what they see as essential that others do not. Please feel free to present your Biblical position without name calling or belittling or having a intellectual superiority over others and their opinions. I think this thread has made a good point. why say you all?

Seems many sheep have forgotten the One and only Shepherd, and that there is only one flock.

John 10:16, "And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice. So there will be one flock, one Shepherd."

Some seem to be preaching a "dividing of the spoils" doctrine, that a ravenous wolf seperates the sheep into different "groups." that was prophesied in Genesis 49:

Genesis 49: 1 Then Jacob called his sons and said, “Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you what shall happen to you in days to come. 27 “Benjamin is a ravenous wolf, in the morning devouring the prey and at evening dividing the spoil.

There also seems to be a debate on who to follow, for me it is easy, Jesus.

John 13:15, “For I (Jesus) gave you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.”

Philippians 3:17-18, “Join together in imitating me, brothers, and pay close attention to those who live by the example we have given you. For I have often told you, and now tell you even with tears, that many live as enemies of the cross of Christ.”

1 Peter 2:21, “This is, in fact, what you were called to do, because Christ also suffered for you and left an example for you to follow in His steps.”

1 Corinthians 4:15-16, “You may have 10,000 mentors who work for the Messiah, but not many fathers. For in the Messiah Jesus I have begotten* you through the gospel. So I urge you to imitate me.

1 John 1:26, “The one who says that he abides in him must live the same way he (Jesus) himself lived.”

2 Timothy 1:13-15, "Follow the pattern of the sound words that you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. By the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to you. You are aware that all who are in Asia turned away from me, among whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes.”

Bottom line is Jesus words are above all:

John 12:48, “He who rejects Me, and does not follow My words (Jesus words) has One Who judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same will be used to judge him in the last day.”

and these words He spoke while in the flesh:

John 14:23-26, " 23 Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24 Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father's who sent me. 25 “These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

There also seems to be debate on if meat sacrificed to idols is ok to eat.

Jesus, James, Peter and John all say no, but Paul says it does not matter because an idol is nothing.

1 Corinthians 8:1-13, "Now concerning food offered to idols: we know that “all of us possess knowledge.” This “knowledge” puffs up, but love builds up. If anyone imagines that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know. But if anyone loves God, he is known by God. Therefore, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that “an idol has no real existence,” and that “there is no God but one.” For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth—as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”— yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist. However, not all possess this knowledge. But some, through former association with idols, eat food as really offered to an idol, and their conscience, being weak (Acts 15 says “abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols”), is defiled. Food will not commend us to God. We are no worse off if we do not eat, and no better off if we do. But take care that this right of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak. For if anyone sees you who have knowledge eating in an idol’s temple, will he not be encouraged, if his conscience is weak, to eat food offered to idols? And so by your knowledge this weak person is destroyed, the brother for whom Christ died. Thus, sinning against your brothers and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ. Therefore, if food makes my brother stumble, I will never eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble."

Acts 15:28-29, “For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay on you no greater burden than these requirements: that you abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what has been strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell.”

Romans 14:1-23, “As for the one who is weak in faith (Acts 15 says “abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols”), welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand. One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God, while the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God. For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's. For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living. Why do you pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God; for it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.” So then each of us will give an account of himself to God. Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother. I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself, but it is unclean for anyone who thinks it unclean. For if your brother is grieved by what you eat, you are no longer walking in love. By what you eat, do not destroy the one for whom Christ died. So do not let what you regard as good be spoken of as evil. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Whoever thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men. So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding. Do not, for the sake of food, destroy the work of God. Everything is indeed clean, but it is wrong for anyone to make another stumble by what he eats. It is good not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that causes your brother to stumble. The faith that you have, keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who has no reason to pass judgment on himself for what he approves. But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin.”

Acts 21:25, “But as for the Gentiles who have believed, we have sent a letter with our judgment that they should abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what has been strangled, and from sexual immorality.”

1 Corinthians 10:25, “Eat anything sold in the meat market without raising questions of conscience.”

Yet Jesus doubles down in Revelation and says no idol meat:

Revelation 2:14, "But I have a few things against you: you have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, so that they might eat food sacrificed to idols and practice sexual immorality."

Revelation 2:20, "But I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and is teaching and seducing my servants to practice sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols."

Revelation 2:2, “I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false.”

I do believe God is not does with his chosen people. But I do not believe Jews get saved another way or that there are two Gospels. I don't know how people can simple things so messed up. smh

I see a large pile of routine murmuring but I don`t see any scriptures. You have no answer for Galatians 2:7 and no answer for the passage below. Best you can do is distort my words into something I didn`t really say.

1 Corinthians 5:11, "But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one."

Luke 15:1-2, "Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them."

Romans 13:1-2, "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God."

Hosea 8:4, "They made kings, but not through me. They set up princes, but I knew it not. With their silver and gold they made idols for their own destruction."

I hope you actually took a breath while reciting all that bunk.

You seem bright enough to read the Bible for yourself. Didn't think I needed to repost the simple truth here for someone as obviously as knowledgeable as you. And being that intelligent you would know that you do not pinpoint one scripture in the Bible and make a doctrine of it. So glad we have that cleared up.

The subject in Gal. 2:7 is about some false Christians bringing in strange teachings about circumcision. Here is the lead in:

Gal. 2:3-5 "But even Titus, who was with me, was not forced to be circumcised, though he was a Greek. Yet because of false brothers secretly brought in—who slipped in to spy out our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, so that they might bring us into slavery—to them we did not yield in submission even for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might be preserved for you."

So, no new gospel just perverting the current gospel.

Did.. did you just show "gasp" context?!!!! You mean you don't make a doctrine out of one verse of the Bible?! I think a demon told you that! Cleary you aren't a Christian, according to the Me,Myself and I/ Us 4 and No More church of the (pick the gods you want).
