there is the bull's eye right there

the flesh vs the Holy Spirit

and never the 2 shall meet until one gets on its knees and it ain't the Holy Spirit
Thats why if you look at scripture to see what sin god hates most
Its not murder, its not homosexuality, its not hate

Its pride,

Because the root of all sins, including rejection of gods offer of salvation, is rooted first in pride.

Pride is blind because it can not see, and will not see

thats why the law must tear down our pride, before it can ever lead us to christ.

They want to teach we have not yet been trained by the law. But to those of us who have had our pride broken by the law, we know where they are, and what needs to be done, and can only pray their pride is broken too.

Ya’ll been told time after time

It is HOW we grow in christ after we are saved, what purpose does that law have in that process

Once again, you just proved you are not listening
I was just thinking about posting Galatians 3:3 after his post.

I suppose I could post that after every single one of their posts. Seems like a pretty easy scripture to grasp.

But I guess not.

Hey NayborBear,

Your graciousness to EG shines through. Personally, I am having a hard time seeing past the carnality to recognize any desire for redemption there.

I will continue to pray and hope there is time, but I think the lockdown has already begun...

:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

Your a funny man

One thing is sure, someone hit a nerve, your running around trying to make others look bad to puff yourself up

Sorry i brought you down

We all need tough love EG, the question is which of us is willing to receive it...

So, the minute I endeavor to speak to you on your level it's as if you cannot recognize the methods!

Striking how blind you are to your own condition!

If any of my words "prick" you PLEASE, pause and pray and seek before it's too late!

SG
Well we know one who is not

When people show him tough love or try to explain to him why they think he is wrong, he makes mocking attacks like you have done since i first met you,

A person who accepts tough love is humble enough to admit when they are wrong. Have yet to witness this coming from that person. (You)

Its obvious they hate paul especially the book of galations,
It is pretty amazing how often I post Galatians in response to posts from legalists and Judaizers.

Its pretty much a direct scriptural CORRECTION to their error.

But they would rather focus on their carnal problems and then try to fix those carnal problems in their own carnal ways. Stuck in their circular loop. And then try to teach everyone how to start their own carnal circular loop.

Well, you can lead a horse to water....

Once again, i bolded the most important part of your post you need to really focus on

Your one of the worse offenders.

You people need to look in a mirror.
More often than not people who use fancy OT names for God and Jesus, rather than just saying God and Jesus, are pious and self-righteous.

a huge amen to this post EG...and I am not one who goes around saying amen or well said haha

that goes straight to the heart and I mean personal hearts, not just a broad brush truth

this, should humble us, as we are supposed to humble ourselves...you would not want God to humble you or you get up with permanent egg face

That being said? This "contract", if you will, ALWAYS comes with an "OPT OUT CLAUSE!" Meaning one can opt out at ANY TIME during these "EFFORTS" FOR "Spiritual Maturing!" WITHOUT JEOPARDIZING SALVATION!

There is NO SHAME for opting out early! NONE! Nor, CONDEMNATION either!
No you cant opt-out. You are lost if you do

Only those who remain faithful till the end are the truly born again: "holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: "

Hebrews 3:6
But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

How do you know you are part of God's house? if you hold fast. If you dont, GET SAVED. No opt-out clauses in the Bible!

I agree the spirit guides people to walk in His ways:

Hebrews 10:16-17, " 16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,” 17 then he adds, “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.”

BUt I think sometimes there is also an appearance of love from those that do believe in the Commandments and those that don't. An appearnce that can fool other humans, but it can not fool GOd.

Hebrews 4:11-13, " 11 Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience. 12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

I think this is shown in the wheat and tares parable:

Matthew 13:24-30, " 24 He put another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field, 25 but while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away. 26 So when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared also. 27 And the servants of the master of the house came and said to him, ‘Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have weeds?’ 28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ So the servants said to him, ‘Then do you want us to go and gather them?’ 29 But he said, ‘No, lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.’”

Yes this is a key verse concening this and I think the phrase " turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness" in light of loyal humans being the "chaste bride" and unloyal humans being the "harlot" I see this as people using mercy as an excuse to sin, thus why licentiousness/lasciviousness is used. Those who calim/do enter into covenant with God, yet constantly "cheat"

And your assessment, I think in many cases is correct, what I am getting from it is, many have made their own version of love that fits their own desires, completely missing everything the law says in love, everything that Jesus walked in thus making people naturally finding reasons to say Jesus is not their examplle or that Jesus teachings are not for them. Exactly, He did His Fathers will, at the right hand, in perfect agreement. SO how could people see it so differently? You go on to say it, they have a false Jesus or have rejected Jesus as their Shepherd. Hence the Jude quote.

Reminds me of this:

Jeremiah 2:13-14, “For My people have done two evils: they have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, to hew out for themselves cisterns, cracked cisterns, which do not hold water.”
I realize your new (at least your "handle" sez your new...lol), and have probably missed some postings I have put up here in CC, concerning "love."
And it's not that love is not important! It is very important!
Yet? Not so important, that it SUPERCEDES the development of the rest of the "fruit of the Spirit!"
And love covers a multitude of "falling short of the mark"(sin/s).
But, the definition of multitude, is just that! MANY! Even Many many! A whole lotta, even! :)
Not EVERY!

(Another excerpt from article I wrote about 15 years ago.)

“But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.” (Galatians 2:7-9)

This passage of scripture affirms two gospels and two churches. They are two folds made into one fold, having one Shepard. (John 10:16) Baptized by the same Spirit into the same body. And the two gospels are connected together becoming one faith. Paul preached a simple message of Christ and Him crucified. (1st Corinthians 1:23, 2:2) This is the preaching of the kingdom gospel. There are things from the kingdom gospel that must be applied to the grace gospel to achieve a full understanding of it. In my essay on the grace gospel I pulled quite a few things from the kingdom gospel because it made a better understanding of grace. Likewise the Jewish believers received and studied Paul’s epistles and a modern Jewish believer living the life of an original believer must understand Paul’s gospel in order to come into full knowledge of the truth.

Paul himself, along with the other Jewish believers who worked with him maintained their ties to the church of Peter and they continued Torah observance as they lived among the Gentiles. (Acts 21) Paul also obtained the endorsement of the Jewish Church for the Gentile church. (Acts 15) Paul never encouraged Jewish believers to stop following the Torah and he supported the doctrines of the circumcision church.

“But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches. Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised. Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.” (1st Corinthians 7:17-20)

Paul position on this point is plain to see. Those who are called to the church of Peter are meant to remain in the church of Peter. Those who are called to the church of Paul are meant to remain in the church of Paul. The establishment of the Gentile churches did not change the gospel and commandments that Jesus Christ had already given the Jewish church. However, the grace gospel was received and applied in the Jewish church just as the kingdom gospel is received and applied by the Gentile church. There are three passages on this point that I know of.

“But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” (James 1:25)

“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.” (James 2:10-12)

“And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.” (2nd Peter 3:15-16)

The books of James and Peter were epistles written to the Jewish circumcision believers. The law of liberty James refers to is Paul’s teaching on the law. Paul uses the word liberty ten times in the epistles always in reference to the liberty of the Gentiles regarding the Torah. The first verse from James reveals that Jewish believers were studying and accepting Paul’s doctrine on the law. James encourages those who continue in the law of liberty to do the works that the law of love demands. In the second verse from the book of James we see James telling the Jewish believers to speak and act like those who follow the law of liberty. It`s a pretty powerful endorsement of Paul’s doctrine.

The verse from second Peter is one I’ve quoted before. We see in this verse that Paul was a beloved brother to the Jewish believers and his epistles were circulated among Jewish believers and were considered scripture. The gospel of grace had a tremendous impact on the Jewish church.

God allowed the circumcision church to decline and eventually disappear for many centuries. Christians who assume that God is done with the circumcision church are gravely mistaken. The circumcision church has reappeared in our day as the Messianic movement. It is a move of God’s Spirit to restore them as God prepares to bring this age to a close.

I'm not a law-keeper, but I still haven't found a single piece of evidence -- in the Gospels -- that Jesus ever told us to stop keeping the Law. Should we rely solely on what Paul said?
Wow, over 400 pages in and I don't think I ever made a comment. Why so many pages for such a simple subject? The OT was about the Law and blood sacrifice. It was imperfect and it simply "covered" sin. It was temporary till Christ came. Then He became the blood sacrifice, and our sins are now taken away, not just covered by the blood of a sacrificed animal. We no longer have need of the Law and blood sacrifice. We have Christ, our only high priest. If you are under the Law you need the blood of an animal and a priest to go before God on your behalf. Christ broke all of that, He is the sacrifice, He took our sin away, and He goes to the Father in our place. He is our high priest and we can come boldly before the throne, which was not possible in the OT. Jesus brought a new covenant. Very simple.

I like Hosanna.

And Hallelujah.

And Amen.

But I guess those are just expressions and not different names for Christ. I don't hear people say Jehovah too much. And never heard anyone say Adonai, except maybe from reading the bible...

Making the use of Hebrew words an improper thing to do takes replacement theology almost to a new level. First time I ever saw this.

I would expect that this Messianic movement probably has some problems with some of what Paul teaches.

Such as the Ministration of Death and Condemnation. The Letter being unto Death.

Being dead to the law so we can live unto God.

The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus setting us free from the law of sin and death.

Those who are of the works of the law being under the curse.

Its hard enough to teach Christians about these things. I wonder how it would be with Messianics?

Once again, you just proved you are not listening
It's OK EG! You have taken the "opt out early option!"
The rub is when y'all encourage EVERYONE to take "the opt out early option!"
And then? Y'alls condemnation of those who have not!
It's like y'all are saying: "psss.....psss!" "opt out early!" "Salvation by grace through faith is enough." "You'll be fine!" "and won't incur the wrath of the rest of us who have have opted out early too." "we couldn't handle the heat, so we got out of the kitchen." "you can too!"
Matthew 23
13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. This "warning" from Christ, is just AS true for todays believers, as it is for the Jews!

Not that I'm not listening, EG!
I'm "hearing y'all" just fine! Just not "following your lead."
Just not "opting out!" :)
"You can stand me up at the gates of hell!" "And, I won't opt out!"
"No?" "I'll stand my ground!" "Won't be turned a-round!"
