If it's alright, I'd like to ask for prayers for me and my little one. I've had a run of bad luck lately and it just seems to keep piling on. I can't get out of this rut. Normally, things are fine. Breaking even on everything, even with visits to the hospital. Lately, that's not the case. I've been searching for a job, whether online or locally, for months now and had no luck. This has caused me to fall behind on bills. It wasn't a huge issue at first, I'm able to be a month behind on a few bills and just pay my balance forward. easy enough. But with late fees piling up, I can no longer afford to do even that. Most of my bills are due Friday. If I don't get the electric/utility bill paid, or at least the late fees and balance forward, my power will be shut off. With no job and not enough income from my little ones child support to even cover all my normal bills, power cut off means getting evicted from our apartment, because I can't afford to pay the bill AND have it turned back on. Can't afford either at this point, really. I'm also behind on my phone/internet bill. Because there are only plans that allow bundling, I can't ditch one and just HAVE one. It has to be a more expensive bundle or I have no phone at all. I CAN'T fall behind on this one because it IS instantly cut off. Thankfully the bill isn't due until the 15th, but after paying what I COULD on my electric bill, though it wasn't enough, I have no way to pay the phone bill. Even beyond all that mess, I'm unable to even get basic necessities. Hygiene items (TP, pads, trash bags), food, all a big nope. I've looked into SOME suggestions from others, churches and food banks, and had no luck. The church nearest to us that we could walk to, which is also the food bank/pantry, hasn't been able to help ANYONE for a while now, due to no donations coming in and people who don't NEED help taking advantage of what was there before. If you drive a jacked up, chromed up truck and have gold chains around your neck, you don't need to be at a Food Bank, just my opinion on that. Food wise, SNAP benefits for my little guy don't come in until the 17th, so that doesn't really help us right now. As far as family goes, we aren't in contact after a fallout a little over 2 years ago, so I can't ask them for help. Friends, the few I have, haven't been able to help either. It's starting to feel like no matter what I do, I CAN'T get out of this. I've been doing my best, but I feel like a bad parent, not being able to provide for my child. I know that rough patches in life are unavoidable, but that doesn't change how I feel. I appreciate any and all prayers, or even advice/kind words. Everything is very much appreciated.

I have been in tough spots almost homeless before but not with child... I might not have good advice for you... :( Except that I might try to encourage you since God got me out of each situation, and He loves you no less. If there is some kind of a spiritual door open that allows the enemy to attack continually, I ask now in Jesus name to reveal it to our sister so she can get her life together and provide for her child with God's help. I say this just in case, it is for you to sit on this with God, but I did not say it to make you beat yourself up, sometimes bad things also happen for no reason. God lead her and provide for her, and give stability to her life. Amen

P.S. depending on what the fallout was, unless it's some kind of abuse, I say respectfully you maybe should reconsider asking family for help... Ask God for His advice about it He will advise you best... I used to be in a bad relationship with my dad but this completely changed. When I was in a similar situation earlier I did humble myself and ask him for help... it's what God wanted me to do. But rather than me telling you, ask God He knows your situation.

I will pray for you, sister. Have you checked the internet for any other Christian Orgs in your area that can help. Just an idea can you look for free rent for doing housekeeping or taking care of an elderly person? Do they not have Welfare there w/immediate help, if not that's sad. I pray, in Jesus' Name, for God's favor over you and your child to get assistance fast, thank You Lord, Amen.

I don't know what country you are from Sassy, but it's illegal to shut off someone's power, especially when they have a child, especially if you have been working with them to pay your overdue bills. There are free advocacy groups who can fight for you re all of this. Also some lawyers do pro bono (free) work fighting for people's rights. When my electricity bill was overdue, I contacted my provider and found out that the government in our country pays your power bill for you - but only twice every 5 or 10 years. Can you ask the power company if you can set up a payment plan, and pay something regularly towards the outstanding amount? Most providers will try to work with you, because they want their money. Document everything you say to them - the time, date, who you spoke to with regards to what - write it down if your internet/phone etc gets cut off. I would personally tell them that they are breaking the law by cutting off your energy, when you have a young child to provide for. I've done this and people have immediately changed their attitude towards me. No company wants to get sued or go to court - it's too expensive & too much hassle. Tell them you want to work with them - not against them.

You could try women's shelters to tied you over, or go to your local social security office & beg for help - yes, I said BEG. I've done it before. Take all of your bills, documentation & EVERYTHING with you. Plead your case & say you are a Mother with a litle one. Ask to see their Social Workers as well who can help you out to. Don't take no for an answer and always be polite and respectful.
And yes, I'd be calling my family & asking for help (if possible). Say it's not so much for you, but for your little one. Sometimes, you just have to swallow your pride.
Have you got neighbours who can help you out, or post a free ad to share a room for a while to save money?
Try putting free ads up for online work, babysitting - for ANYTHING to tide you over. Offer a bonus for something & you will probably get more interest. Online surveys pay as well I'm told, but I think you have to do hundreds of them. Scour the local area for any job - whether it's cleaning toilets or packing supermarket bags. There must be something out there.
I couldn't afford internet when I rented privately so I used to go in my car to the library all the time. And I wouldn't get a bundle - there are much cheaper & better options out there for keeping your phone & internet on.
Also advertise for a flatmate to help out with bills. Try the Salvation Army, St Vinnies etc - they must be able to help, surely. Hospitals and police offices also have social workers that can help.
My prayer for you: Loving heavenly Father, please help Sassy find work and/or accommodation quickly. Make her family receptive to her time of need if she reaches out to them. Make her strong to face any trials she will endure when fighting the wicked system of our time. Amen.
Please let us know how you get on!
