Scientology -- a cult with cultic leader by the name of L. Ron Hubbard -- calls itself *a twenty first century religion* and shown below are its basic beliefs, the primary one being that man is his own savior (which means that it rejects Christ and Bible Christianity). Yet – strangely enough -- it acknowledges a *Supreme Being* and *the laws of God*:
‘Developed by L. Ron Hubbard, Scientology is a religion that offers a precise path leading to a complete and certain understanding of one’s true spiritual nature and one’s relationship to self, family, groups, Mankind, all life forms, the material universe, the spiritual universe and the Supreme Being.
Scientology addresses the spirit—not the body or mind—and believes that Man is far more than a product of his environment, or his genes. Scientology comprises a body of knowledge which extends from certain fundamental truths. Prime among these are:
Man is an immortal spiritual being.
His experience extends well beyond a single lifetime.
His capabilities are unlimited, even if not presently realized.
Scientology further holds Man to be basically good, and that his spiritual salvation depends upon himself, his fellows and his attainment of brotherhood with the universe.’

Scientology has *churches* all across the world, but the idea is not to worship God and Christ. Rather it is a cult in that it has its members signing what is known as a *Billion Year Contract*. Their eternal commitment is not to God and Christ but to a false religion:
‘IS IT TRUE THAT PEOPLE IN THE SEA ORG SIGN A BILLION-YEAR CONTRACT?
The first Sea Organization members formulated a one-billion-year pledge to symbolize their eternal commitment to the religion and it is still signed by all members today. It is a symbolic document which, similar to vows of dedication in other faiths and orders, serves to signify an individual’s eternal commitment to the goals, purposes and principles of the Scientology religion.’
The Church of Scientology has a *Creed* as shown below.
‘THE CREED OF THE CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY
The Creed of the Church of Scientology was written by L. Ron Hubbard shortly after the Church was formed in Los Angeles on February 18, 1954. After Mr. Hubbard issued this creed from his office in Phoenix, Arizona, the Church of Scientology adopted it as its creed because it succinctly states what Scientologists believe.
We of the Church believe
That all men of whatever race, color or creed were created with equal rights.
That all men have inalienable rights to their own religious practices and their performance.
That all men have inalienable rights to their own lives.
That all men have inalienable rights to their sanity.
That all men have inalienable rights to their own defense.
That all men have inalienable rights to conceive, choose, assist or support their own organizations, churches and governments.
That all men have inalienable rights to think freely, to talk freely, to write freely their own opinions and to counter or utter or write upon the opinions of others.
That all men have inalienable rights to the creation of their own kind.
That the souls of men have the rights of men.
That the study of the Mind and the healing of mentally caused ills should not be alienated from religion or condoned in nonreligious fields.
And that no agency less than God has the power to suspend or set aside these rights, overtly or covertly.
And we of the Church believe
That Man is basically good.
That he is seeking to Survive.
That his survival depends upon himself and upon his fellows and his attainment of brotherhood with the Universe.
And we of the Church believe that the laws of God forbid Man
To destroy his own kind.
To destroy the sanity of another.
To destroy or enslave another’s soul.
To destroy or reduce the survival of one’s companions or one’s group.
And we of the Church believe
That the spirit can be saved.
And that the spirit alone may save or heal the body.
THE AIMS OF SCIENTOLOGY
Written by L. Ron Hubbard in September 1965.
A civilization without insanity, without criminals and without war, where the able can prosper and honest beings can have rights, and where Man is free to rise to greater heights, are the aims of Scientology...
In other words Scientology seeks to establish a Utopia on earth but with no reference to God and Christ.
What makes it dangerous is that it has a number of *codes* and *credos* which in reality become law for scientologists, since they are essentially promises or pledges of loyalty to this non-Christian religion. Members are also charged hefty fees for learning *the secrets* of Scientology (called *predatory financial practices* by Wikipedia).
It would appear that Hollywood became a primary target for this cult (with Tom Cruise and John Travolta as *shining examples*), and many have been brainwashed by this false religion. But many former members of this cult have turned against it, and made their opposition public. Some are celebrities such as Leah Remini and Larry Anderson.
This *church* teaches “attack-the-attacker” instead of turn the other cheek. ‘This allowed those who had been declared enemies of the Church, called "suppressive persons" (SPs), "May be deprived of property or injured by any means...May be tricked, sued or lied to or destroyed". ‘ (Wikipedia). A person by the name of Lisa McPherson was held in custody against her will by the Church of Scientology for 17 days and died as a result. Her estate sued this cult for wrongful death and the suit was settled in 2004.
The Church of Scientology is a very dangerous cult which has engaged in assault, defamation, false imprisonment, false reports, fraud, deaths, hurting people, disconnection, harassment, IRS lawsuits, obstructing psychiatry, raids, etc.
