I was a child in sixth grade. Our teachers had the news running and one image out of many still hurts to think about. But when looking at those towers and seeing objects drop from them and as the camera or photographer zoomed in, you could see those objects was people jumping from the towers.
My mind couldn't understand as I fear heights why they would be jumping and imagining the last thoughts they had. As more info came out and my parents had to explain to me the concept of evil, I understood the death behind them was worse than the death in front of them.
I will never forget that but also will never forget the love that united the country. Always sad though that it takes a common enemy for people to unite.

Remember that day like it was yesterday. My wife and I were both off work that day. I always get up before her. Was watching the news when the first plane hit. Then the second plane hit and I remember Tom Brokaw saying "America is under attack." If he said that today, 18 years later, he would get fired. Because you can't blame Islamic terrorism on the people, and the ideology that perpetrate it in 2019.
After the second plane hit, I woke my wife up to explain what was happening. The Twin Towers were burning. I remember telling my wife I hoped the people inside the buildings were doing their best to get everyone out, as well as the first responders because I knew the severity of the fire would collapse the buildings at some point.
It was a horrible day. But not nearly as horrible as the state of the country in 2019 when we can't place blame squarely on the religion that caused the tragedy, Islam. The New York Times reported yesterday, that "planes" brought down the Twin Towers, not Islamic terrorists. The Left can't assess blame on the right people because Islam is in their Special Victims Group.

For all the fallen First Responders who gave ALL that day!
Since that day, regardless of what the radical, socialist, extremists liberals think, our Nation has been at war against an evil that is dead set on destroying not only our way of life, but all Citizens of this Nation.
The enemy is Radical Islamic Extremists Ideology, and the evil minions who perpetuate it's beliefs.
