I thought this was interesting,
although living in the UK, I must admit that I find it a strange concept
to walk into a supermarket and buy bullets. (Any shop for that matter).

I always assumed gun shops and ammunition shops would be a bit specialist, rather than it being something you picked up with your groceries.

A super Walmart isnt just a grocery store. They usually contain a grocery section, clothing, electronics, books, arts and crafts, outdoor section, hunting and fishing section, plants and yard area plus so much more.

I at one time got my hunting license from Walmart.

All this will do is hurt them because many other places are happy to sell ammunition.

That is their choice but they also said they no longer wanted concealed carry either in their stores which is just ignorant in my opinion. If they dont want you to protect yourself at their store then they better do it for you like armed security, and metal detectors.

Yes and they still refuse to sell unedited cds. R rated movies M for mature games totally fine. But God forbid a few swears on a song 😱😂 also ironic considering you can hear far worse for free just listening to people in public 😋 just always struck me as odd

Oh no, its just the begining of a gun control conspiracy, to prevent citizens uprising against the government. Can not take away weapons, but stop the purchase of ammo. If we had same laws in UK I would not be surprise if a malitia was formed and stage a coup to get Brexit through, as the weasals in House of Commons are doing everything they can to stop us leaving the EU. They even voted to take control from the Prime Minister. Disgusting.

I don't think there is any gun control conspiracy, it is part of the party platform of the Democratic party. It's not a conspiracy if you say it all the time and make it part of your platform.

Yes we have supermarkets over here, which include clothes, mobile phones, bedding, electrical gadgets etc.

Never seen one with a hunting and fishing section though.

Why do you need to protect yourself in the store...do people run rpund with loaded guns in there? Or is that just normal for US? Also is it kinda normal for people to uprise against the govt. I thought it was meant to be non-violent? Its kinda sad that Martin Luther King Jr, who advocated non violence, and never carried any weapons, was shot and killed.

And always hearing about gun shootings from US. Like every week. Its like car crashes here when people drive too fast, and drink alcohol but they think its normal. Well tell that to the families that are in mourning over members that have died.

30k deaths by guns per year in America.

300k ( some say much higher ) times per year Americans protect
themselves with guns.

The numbers are irrefutable.

I carry everyday, for myself as well as those around me.

Thats crazy, so how old were you wen you bought your first gun. Is it everyone just gets one when they turn 16 or something like everyone is supposed to learns to drive but in america you meant to learn how to shoot?

Do they teach it in school? I always thought that high schools should teach driving rather than just leave it for amateurs and anyone can get behind a wheel.

They used to have gun safety classes and such. But a well armed and well informed population stand
directly in the way of those who wish to "fundamentally" change America.

Most who support gun control, also support abortion, open borders, transexual bathrooms etc.etc..........

In order to control a population, one must create an atmosphere of "consensus".
Which the media is quite good at. Most people want to be part of the crowd. If
it appears the majority believe a certain way many will fall into step, out of fear of
seeming ignorant, or out of step with the rest.

I was actually in my 30s when I purchased my first weapon.

I carry because it is my right, and duty to protect myself and any who are in my vicinity
if the unthinkable happened.
And as can be seen, the unthinkable happens often.

Back in the 70s shooting was a school sport, called marksmanship, we also used to have archery in school, as part of physical education.
I learned gun safety, and hunters education in elementary school. There were no school shootings in those days. I have had guns in my home all my life, and had my first gun at 12. My children were also raised with guns. We hunt, and participate in shooting sports. Where I am from it's common place. I have never had a gun pulled on me and neither have I ever had to pull mine on a human. I'm hoping that I never have to, and it looks like my hopes will not be dashed.
Guns are not the problem, lack of respect for life, lack of discipline, lack of any real repercussions for bad behavior, and of course mental illness are the problems. In America we have a huge mental health crisis, that could be handled if we would, but we prefer to just dope folks up.
I am pro one gun control law that sounds harsh but would definitely help reel in the violence. If you are willing to use a gun to commit a crime it should be a capital offense. Not 20 year down the road either; 30 days.
There is a bit of irony that goes with the gun control issue, most of the violent crimes committed with a gun in America, are committed in the most difficult places to obtain a gun. Cities like Chicago, and LosAngeles are bloody rampant. 16 people were murdered in Chicago this weekend, and it's a weekly event.
I personally don't care what any one shop decides to do. If they stop selling ammunition, what ever; I don't shop there anyway.

Why do I need to protect myself? Do people really ask that question? Do you lock your house door? To conceal carry or a means of self defense, what makes that violent? Dont try to hurt me or my family with violence and I wouldn't have to respond with violence.

In my area of the country most everyone I know carries a sidearm, owns guns, and has been using them since childhood.

Your seeing not the object becoming more dangerous, but the human mind.

Well yall better ban cars and alchohol then. What you hear is a liberal media narrative but do not hear of all the cases someone did protect themselves or someone else. Or the potential mass shootings that was stopped by a good guy with a gun. You dont hear any of those because it doesn't fit the liberal narrative.

If your connected to alternative media outlets then you will hear all the incidents that happen every day where someone uses a firearm to protect themselves or others.

Most shootings happen by someone who never under the law should of had a gun. But the illegally obtained it or failure of current laws they obtained it. California has the strictest gun laws but in 2017 had the highest gun violence. Look at Chicago also.

Your not getting rid of weapons. You must work on Morality.

The Super Walmart model originated in more rural communities in the southern US where hunting, fishing and camping equipment (at low prices) was more difficult to find.

AMEN....the school I went to in Missouri in the 80's....almost every truck had a gun rack and weapons hanging in the back glass.....we settled differences by fist fights and no one got shot....as a matter of fact...almost everyone in my home town owns weapons and I can honestly only think of maybe 2 to 5 murders over the past 45 to 50 years.......

Did you see where the politicians in California or SF voted to deem the NRA as a domestic terrorist organization and California struck down a law that ok'ed citizens helping cops if they were in trouble......

I really believe a civil war is coming if things continue as they are.....
