Don’t know why I got on here
Don’t know what I planned to do.
Can’t think of a thing to do on here
I’m bored and lonely too.
Don’t really feel like playing
Or Facebooking, tried that.
Go to a site for chatting
That idea comes up flat.
So now I’m on my laptop
Clueless what to do.
So all I could come up with
Is Lord I’ll wright to you.
When I feel lost or lonely
I simply change my view.
I look to where my help comes from
And that’s when I see you!
I see you Oh Lord are sad
My sadness touched your heart.
But more so you know you can help
You wait for me to start!
That’s when I start writing
Of your goodness through my life.
The way you always help me
In my time of strife.
You’re my way out of gloom
Every time I turn to you
You come running to me
And Your joy fills the room!
I begin by saying thank you
For all the things you’ve done
And tell you of your goodness
The only holy one!
I watch the smile spreading
Across your holy face!
Your kiddo had finally realized
You handled this with Grace!
I raise my voice in victory!
The battle has been won!
You won the battle before
I knew it had begun!
For all the time I’ve been here
Existing on the Earth
You have been here with me
Ever since my birth!
In Joy you brought me to you
You didn’t waist the time.
I was a little child
When you shared your love divine!
Now I see quite clearly
You’re always there for me.
When I am feeling lonely
To see you sets me free!
I pull out those two keys
That get me in to you.
Then in your courts and presence.
The fullness of Joy is true!
You waited for me patiently
As I sat so depressed.
Then when I turned back to you
You finally gave me rest!
But not just rest like a nap
None that sleep could give
You gave me joy and sustenance
Because in you I live!
When I forget that you’re there
Or refuse to come
I know that you grieve for me
Until to you I run!
Though I might be stubborn
And cling to misery
Throwing pity parties
And focusing on me
You wait like a Father
Grieving for His son
You want to make it better
But one thing must be done.
I still must ask for your help
To simply turn to you
To put down all my selfishness.
And let you do what you will do!
You gather me into your arms
In a hug that’s like no other!
I know that you’re my Daddy
And Jesus is my Brother!
You adopted me
And my Daddy you became.
And as the perfect Brother
Jesus came to take my pain!
