Yes pray for them, if they are acting like your enemy...

Jut wondering if anyone has war stories how they survived a horrible boss...and were you delivered? It may not be on the scale of the Exodus but its a common thing the world over, from families, to workplaces, to entire nations governed by a tyrant.

I remember this book I read on the topic...called 'the no **edited** rule'. (Excuse my language)
Basically its ultimate recommendation was to leave. Has anyone left their job lately because of a horrible boss?

How can we avoid them in the future...unless we work for ourselves. Why do some bosses treat their workers so badly?! On a positive note, if you have a kind boss and really good working conditions, please share what makes your workplace the best and why.

I left a job a long time ago because the boss was on some type of a power trip and would always talk down to me/ single me out, and he would do just little things to try to mess me up. When i quit i literally just walked off in the middle of my shift and never came back. When i left pretty much everyone else quit shortly after and the whole place crumbled to the ground. As for the boss i dunno, he probably disintegrated, acting harshly towards others seemed to be the only thing keeping him together. I remember a few months after quitting i saw his name trying to add me on Facebook but i blocked it.

That was back in my early 20's though, and i wasn't a believer yet. And i don't think a person can avoid people like this... People are inevitable wherever you go. I run a few businesses, and annoying customers are equally as annoying as a boss, especially the ones who try to get over on you. For me the key is to focus mainly on what is most relevant 1: getting that money out of their pockets and into my hand lol 2: maintaining my reputation, integrity and composure even if the person is a challenge. Those 2 things are most important to me... After all of that, and everything is said and done i can feel good about myself and my actions because i didn't
have to conform to anything.

If they keep returning to become a real problem/ hindrance i have to pray for or against them.

I returned to the States in 1995 for a while thinking my medical care would be better there. My doctor here in Spain adviced me so. It turns out my medical care was good there, but not any better than here. I went to work to pass my time while awaiting to return here.

The manner of treating people had changed drastically in those few ten years I had been away. It did not upset me (only because I did not need to work," however it did upstet me how the emplyees were treated. For instance after puching out the employees were kept against their will and locked in the outlet unti the boss had finished his paper work away in his office. The second time this happened, I had jsuit started, I used my cell, and called him informing him if he did not come out and let us al go now, I would call the police and charge him with illegal seequestering of the employees. He came right out and let us all go.

I remained there until a new manager came ins. One day she advised all at an employee meeting that we were not to make any plans for a certain date whether we were scheduled to work or not. This time I jusst got up and left. On the way out a feelow emplyee stopped me, and I informed her that I could not bare the emplyees being treated so, and that I place the Blood of Jesus between me and any at blame.

A few weeks later the place closed permanently.

I confess I felt very hurt just walking out on the job, but it was necessary. God bless all who work in deplorable conditions...j

There is a sad phenomenon that happens in some organizations.. High functioning clinical psychopaths are often perceived by upper management as people who are prepared to do anything to see things get done.. This leads many in upper management to select smooth talking psychopaths as lower level management.. This forms a layer between them and the workers.. They like to have a Hard person between them and the workers to deal with workers with a firm hand, so they don't have to deal with difficult personal issues..

Unfortunately many of these psychopaths end up playing their game of power over the workers and end up waging psychological warfare against the best workers below them. They are motivated by the pleasure they experience in exerting this power over others and this also destroys any potential lower level worker who shows the capability to take the psychopaths managing position..

The long term effect of the psychopath is to cause the lowering of the moral of the businesses best workers. And the business finds that it is losing it's best workers and productivity is actually falling.. The smooth talking psychopath is often able to convince the Higher management that everyone below them is the cause of the businesses decline.. It often takes a long time for upper management to discover the actual source of the problem.. In some cases the Business will end up failing because of the damage inflicted on it by the lower level psychopath manager..

I have witnssed this happen in my last job...and I found they call it 'managing out' when someone tries to get their workers to quit by threatening them if they dont conform to unrealistic standards...which the manager of course does not have to do because they actually dont do that job.

Many managers are called in from elsewhere because they manage but they may have never actually done the work itself. Its weird how companies will employ people who arent even familiar with the field, and have never actually produced anything just to control staff and be the hiring and firing person.

A red flag is always when a job is advertised and you wonder well who has quit for this vacancy to be open and why?
