I did watch the video. I thought his answer that they "lost" the technology was understated and misleading. The technology and the parts and the commodities are just no longer available. Maybe that would be a better answer. You think of all the molds for all the weird parts they had? Nobody keeps that stuff. It's difficult to even get parts for some cars of that era - think of a Apollo LEM! It had millions of parts. All the special tooling that won't work on anything else were discarded over time. You don't really see a lot of even medical equipment from the 60's. It's not really that technology was lost - it's more like it was outdated and just not used anymore. Even the guys that were the experts of that era are all dead or retired now and wouldn't even know how to go about rebuilding a SaturnV with today's metals and propellants, et al.
I work some with technology from the 90's that seems sooo obsolete. There's some modules and such that aren't designed to do what they can do now. Imagine trying to work with a buidling automated system from the 60's. It just won't work. The tooling, the limitations - it's not lost, it's just outdated.
I mean ok, but it seems patently silly.
My point is they built that thing with 1960s knowledge, using 1960s computers. EVEN if the plans magically disappeared and we couldn't simply manufacture the whole kit and caboodle from scratch, EVEN though those guys did it in LESS than 7 yrs, why wouldn't we simply build a MUCH better system and rocket than the Saturn? I have more computing power in my pocket with my phone, than all of NASA had at that time. We now have quantum computers that are faster than anything we can imagine. You are telling me we are too stupid NOW vs then to figure this out?
And I don't want to hear about the cost. That NEVER stopped us from doing ANYTHING. NASA has a $22 Billion budget for just this year.
But again, if this one blurb from this guy was all there was I would pooh pooh it as well. I might as well tell you the final piece that tipped the scales for me, and then fill in the other pieces if you are still interested. Some of the other stuff is certainly conspiratorial, but just because it is, shouldn't negate it as corroborating evidence. I'm talking about things like the fact that satan is the god of this world, a liar and deceiver. NASA's founding. That a LARGE contingency of the vital members of NASA, including many astronauts were/are Freemasons. But enough of that for now.
The thing that sealed the deal for me is the Van Allen radiation belts. These are rings of intense radiation surrounding the planet. It is why not only do I not believe we went to the moon, but also never left Earth's lower orbit. You realize that the International Space Station IS IN LOWER EARTH ORBIT? In fact, there are many accounts of space shuttle crew and ISS crew having serious eye problems due to the close exposure to the Belts.
But most astonishing is the admission from NASA itself that we have to solve the problem of the radiation belts, and outer space radiation, BEFORE we can go to Mars, or EVEN the moon!
