It might seem rude for me to ask you this, but what do you mean by "He is the Spirit of Christ"?
Basically just like we are not just physical but spiritual( we have a body and spirit and our spirit dwells in us), so Christ does not only have a body but also possesses the Holy Spirit as his own Spirit. This is the same Holy Spirit of God. There is only one Holy Spirit.

Do you believe that the Holy Spirit and Jesus are two seperate Persons? If so, how can Jesus possess the Holy Spirit as His own Spirit? This does not seem to make sense to me, if what you are saying is correct, could you please clarify why?

What is the Holy Spirit like? What are His attributes?
The Holy Spirit is like God because He is God..

He acts as my guide.. I think of Him as a Super conscience.. Bringing conviction when i am heading down the wrong path.. Moving me with compassion when i need to be having compassion for those around me.. Causing me to understand scripture when i would have no chance of understanding on my own limited and sometimes distorted abilities.. Lifting me up from the gutter to a higher level so i can see far more then i would have ever seen in my former non-Christian life..

From in touch...

  1. He convicts us of sin (John 16:8).
  2. He permanently indwells us (John 14:16-17).
  3. He seals us (Eph. 1:13).
  4. He teaches us (John 14:26).
  5. He guides us into all truth (John 16:13).
  6. He reminds us (John 14:26).
  7. He bears fruit through us (Gal. 5:22-23).
  8. He comforts us (John 16:7).
  9. He equips us with spiritual gifts (1 Cor. 12:4-7).
  10. He fills us (Eph. 5:18).
  11. He empowers us (Acts 1:8).

I think this an edifying question because it calls us to truly reflect on the blessings He Brings.
Great scriptural post.. Yes He does so much with us and for us..

It’s my understanding that the Spirit of Christ is the born again experience. Our spirit becomes alive in Him. But, the baptism of Holy Spirit is to receive the Spirit of Father. And explains why Jesus said over and over, my Father and I are One.

You conflate the issue. There is only one God and one Holy Spirit. You endeavor to make a distinction where none exists.

I believe Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one. I don't believe they are separate.

LeeLoving, do you read from the bible and form beliefs from what you read in Scripture? It is good to ask questions about Scripture and hear what other Christians have to say because sometimes you may have a belief that is not true to what the bible teaches and in asking questions to other Christians who know the bible well, they may show you what is true. At the same time, it is good to read the Bible yourself and come to your own conclusions after a good amount of reading and study of the bible.
