When men, in their arrogance, messes with what God creates, they harm it. A healthy diet consists of food that men hasn’t tampered with.

Eggs and chicken that are from chickens who live free as God created them to live are health. When chickens are cooped up and fed food men put the egg and chicken becomes unhealth. The same goes for cattle whose meat has been “improved” in feed lots. Milk that has been sterilized and pasteurized is not healthy milk even though it is milk that will never give us such as tuberculous and there is a possibility that raw milk will. Oils that have been refined instead of pressed are harmful to us. Grains that have been simply ground are healthy grains but if the grain is improved by men in any other way it creates an unhealthy grain.

When grains are so processed that they are sold as cold cereal they help cause diabetes and unhealthy weight gain.

I agree.

Everything should be left in it's purely natural state.

That's why I don't bathe.

When I was single all of my food was either frozen microwavable or eating out of a can. Today, most of the veggies are prepared fresh, very little can food. The frozen food mainly consist of ice cream and tater tots. Some limited frozen veggies too.

I am underweight so I could use the unhealthy weight gain. Latest blood work came back very positive for my overall health. Not at risk for diabetes but my wife has this moderately. Most of my processed cereal is Rice Krispies.

Making food from scratch is sooooo much work. But we have to try for the sake of the family and our health.

That's why I find it a good idea to have a spare freezer. Can pick up a low end one that people are getting rid of somewhere.

That way when you really have the "cooking energy" in you...you can prep a lot of meals in covered dishes and just freeze them. Put in fridge a day prior when you want it and rewarm. Or better yet take it out 1-2 mins early so that when you reheat you don't overcook.

Has been done in the past with good results with quiche (egg cake I suppose, although that sounds gross). Unfortunately, our freezer stopped working recently.

throw out those micro-wave-ovens kids,
when you NUKE your food, you're essentially
eating DEAD food...

convection/air-ovens are very healthy to use...

God created our bodies and our food, they work together when they aren't aren't changed by men, they aren't as healthful for us when they are pasteurized. Any food is most healthful when they are left as God created them for the food and our body matches.

My Grandson was cured of Crohn's Disease through diet that included raw milk that had been tested routinely. It is possible to buy legal milk that is raw milk, but it is very expensive. In America food is always more expensive when men don't tamper with the way God created it, it is cheaper when it is tampered with.

It seems to me that we honor the Lord, respect His creation, when we insist our food stay the way it was created and our meats come from animals allowed to live and eat in a natural way. We do not honor our Lord when we accept food changed from how God created it.

I have cut out any white flour products, or processed food of any kind including sugar and pasta. I feel so much better and I have lost many pounds, besides.

I think that's taking it a bit too far. Everyone does different things to honor the Lord...that sounds like a personal burden. I do agree with most of the rest. Some honor the Lord by just eating instead of starving themselves through neglect. Mostly I would say it's neutral but there is ALWAYS room for improvement in our diet. Just hard to bear it all in mind all the time by ourselves.

He also created it to go bad quickly and didn't supply ready access to freezers for most of the earth's inhabitants. A piece of venison you hunted yourself or some tomatoes you grew frozen for 3 years and consumed later? Some advances have benefits...some are insidious. Some are just born out of ignorance and are later corrected.

There are few health lessons in church but there definitely should be more of it as a concept of stewardship and loving the Lord with our strength but the same can equally be said of exercise.

I'm not trying to come at you...just that the line stuck out to me.

Oh, do you think that your Grandson experienced that from probiotics + prebiotics? I have read that is incredibly important for digestion...just haven't yet put it into practice personally other than cheese so far. I have a relative that suffers from episodes occasionally and I did mention it to her.

Crohns is considered incurable. No, probiotics and prebotics alone will not cure Crohns.

Another way of thinking of this problem is that it is going too far, all the ways that man has changed the food we eat. Oils are tampered with unbelievable rather than pressed. There is an entire section in a grocery store with grains so changed they can't be recognized from their original form. Many people have learned to ferment food to preserve it, that method improves the nutritional value.

I very much agree with Bilk,
Crohns is considered incurable in many cases, but it has a variety of destruction on a variety of people,
some according to age and others just random, but here is a wonderful share -
we have a friend who wore a bag for seven years, a former wrestler and athlete before getting it -
he was operated on and his intestines were re-connected and now in his 60's, does not have to wear
a bag anymore - a miracle in our eyes, we give All of the Glory to our Heavenly Father...

Modern medicine has so many "incurables", while I believe God's medicine has none.
Each case is unique, but there is a natural cure for any ailment.

Cannot remember how long ago i read from one who had a cattle farm. They drank unpasteurized milk w/ no ill effects for many yrs, unlike many others who had 'processed milk' and other, who had more allergies and other sicknesses. Perhaps its the live enzymes killed in ultra high temps.

I'm not very knowledgeable in this area. But it's good to hear a different perspective. By the way, I heard that we should not be drinking milk, aside from the breast milk that we consumed as babies. I really hope that this is a hoax.

In our grocerie stores in America there can often be found what are labeled, Free Range products. This applies to chickens that have been let to run free rather than held up in chicken battery cages where chickens can barely move. Chickens are territorial. All chickens not just the Rooster of the bunch. Because of this factory farmed chickens when their chicks have their beak tip, the sharp end, burned off and their talons are dulled. This is because in close confinement in battery cages chickens will fight and kill one another for space and dominance.
There are huge numbers of diseases that can be contracted on a chicken farm. Even those that let their birds run free in chicken houses.
It is truly a science in raising them.

With beef products there too is usually an option in stores. "Grain fed" is one category where the meat of that slaughtered steer is derived from the steer that was fed grain. One problem though. Cows can't digest corn. Which makes their corn grain fed diet unhealthy in the nutritional value.
Free Grazed, is the term used for those cows that were let to wander in pasture land rather than kept in stalls where there is very little movement.

You'll have to look up the horror that is "Milk Fed Veal". I don't have the stomach to share that. :(

This depends a lot upon genetics. If your ancestors didn't drink milk you might not be likely to digest it very well. Best judge how you feel trying the diet with and without milk... They say that people of African ancestry do not digest milk well but there are some tribes in Africa that consume milk regularly, same in Europe the Swiss per example have a long history of high milk consumption while in some other nations there will be more lactose intolerance etc... I believe it's adaptive genetics so if your ancestors consumed it sufficiently you have the enzymes... Processing also does alter milk. Pasteurisation, homogenisation and skimming all alter milk, making it harder to extract nutrients from milk. There are also two kinds of casein in milk, one type (A1) coming from Holstein and other cows that were bred to give massive quantities of milk, and a more tolerable type of casein that is in the milk of more traditional breeds (A2). All this comes into play.
