I want to say to all. I am much more than the words you read here,as I'm sure you are as well!
I believe that Jesus,God's son came, taught, died, was buried and rose again the 3rd day, then after 40 days ascended to the Father and now sits at His right hand........waiting!
I believe the love for fallen man held Him to the cross. It is that shed blood that brings new birth into sinful man,and He is the only way to the Father!
I believe He said as promised to send us a comforter and guide into the word,The Holy Spirit!
I believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit with the evidence as in Acts!
I believe we have to walk in all the word, persevering, overcoming, holding fast, pressing toward the mark, and never wavering from the TRUTH of the word!
I believe we do all this by living in the commands found in the word by Holy Spirit inspiration!
I believe we are to allow the Holy Spirit to display His FRUIT in us!
I believe we walk in His righteousness, imitating Him in ever action or reaction in our walk!!
I believe that God knows EVERY heart and all the motivations behind our behaviour!

I spent much time in going back into forums on cc to 2008 and forward.
Many many who were once participants here are NO longer with us,I do not know why!
I came looking for fellowship among the household of faith, nothing else!
Some I have met are just not my close family, others I love as brothers and sisters!

We are to love, encourage, pray, carry one another's burdens, and share the word, for it is the breaking of bread!
WE ARE TO BE UNITED IN THE FAITH,LOOKING TO THE FINISHER OF OUR FAITH!

Those I have on ignore,I will no longer engage with!

I want to ENJOY being here! Most all these threads are simply repeats through the yrs!
If I cannot encourage, love and exhort you onward on this walk we are supposed to be sharing, plz put me on ignore,we are of NO use to one another!

MAY WE ALL WORK OUT OUR OWN SALVATION BY BEING IN JESUS PRESCENCE!

One thing i wish so many people would realise is just because someone does not agree with you does not mean they HATE you. Or are attacking you.

We all can get caught up in the moment, and sometimes we ourselves do things we probably normally would not do. We need to not only be open to the idea that our brothers and sisters sometimes need to come along side and chasten us, and we also have to be open to the fact that our actions are not always correct (ie, be able to admit we are wrong in our words or actions.)

This humility is what keeps Gods family unified, even when we do not always agree on everything.

I agree with this brother...

This humility is what keeps Gods family unified, even when we do not always agree on everything.

I, myself, have gotten sidetracked just recently. He, thankfully, nudged me back to where I need to be...in Him. I never want to put my stamp on being right more than caring for others with a genuine heart for God. Only God knows the hearts. I need to treat others with dignity, remembering that.

We need to remain open to His will for our hearts and minds so we can serve Him as we are called, not ourselves.

We all are guilty, as you said, hypocrisy is often seen on all sides. Yup, all of us need our Jesus.

So we need to treat Him and His with love, patience and care, even when we don't agree, seeking to please and honor our Lord, first and foremost, even when we are standing in His truth. This is what I believe.

DC I agree truth matters. I never want to offend you but I feel I can stand in His truth and remain civil and kind. I sometimes lose sight of that. You have helped me to rest in Him more, so I am grateful, to remember it is about Him, not about me. It has helped me to trust Him more. I am not flip flopping, or compromising. It is truth. I see the value of that. I just want to trust my Lord to work with everyone, as He see's fit.

I wish that we could all find harmony, but that isn't going to happen, and since I do not know the hearts of anyone, I just lean in more to my Lord.

You have been ministering for years, and you have your own way of doing things.

The moment anyone disagrees with what he holds as "truth", there will be no harmony between the both of them. :p
I can see that. I just wish there was a way folks could find harmony in the verses. I am getting there, and I am really seeking to examine my heart and mind. I know darn well that the only thing worse than someone on the opposite side, is someone teetering on both. I know and understand that annoyance.

I just know this...
My Lord and savior saved my wretched self, and He wants me to obey and love as He has called. He created us for His works. I do believe He saves us and keeps us. He is the author and finisher. His work within is what makes all of it possible.

I say this openly to anyone who will listen. If I am off the mark, if I am missing something, I pray my Lord will help me. It is He I want to please. It is Him I trust.

Im not what they call a legalist, nor am I hyper grace. I am a bible reading, God revering, God loving child of God, leaning on His faithfulness. It is because He loves us that any of us can love Him. I do not know the hearts of believers. I leave that in His hands.

Amen, we are one in Christ Jesus, redeemed, made whole, purified, transformed with open hearts walking
clean purified lives in the Holy Spirit, loving with one another and encouraging one another in brotherly
love.

Such are the people of God.

22 the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.
Galatians 5

23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait
eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.

24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has?
25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
Rom 8

9 The commandments, "Do not commit adultery,Do not murder,Do not steal,Do not covet," and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
10 Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Rom 13

14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death.
1 John 3

Amen we embrace one another in purity and holiness. We are a family in Jesus

1 Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers,
2 older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity.
1 Timothy 5

So thank you brothers and sisters in Christ, mothers and fathers also.
I know the warmth of the love from the family of God and their acceptance and encouragement in Christ
Amen,

I remember a few days ago I called a member a dear sister.
I called another a friend.

Both times I was rebuffed like I was an enemy. I was even dealt with as if just reading
posts and having some connection was like something you wanted to wash off.

Another said they chose their friends carefully, and in my sharing of Christ, my heart, my
life, I was no friend.

So I am slightly puzzled at these words of unity, and words of support and openness.
Has something changed, has the Lord softened hearts and brought resolution?

I know truly one sister who did turn around and did soften, and we had some reconciliation.
Praise God, I know in Jesus, it is hard to love the unloved, to touch the ugly and deformed,
to acknowledge the need deep within and appreciate the beauty Christ brings.

On that day, when we see the fruit we sowed that has lasted, what a precious glorious day.
The Lord was very good to me once, many years ago to show me the harvest of a family that
I had sowed to out of love. The Lord is so wonderful and so kind, you cannot imagine how
the Lord of all creation cares and works and brings all to His purposes and the true glory of
Heaven, Amen.

In Scripture God is said to be both truth and love.

I John 4:8 - God is love
John 14:6 - Jesus - "I am the way, the truth, and the life"

If a person says they have love but do not have truth then their love is not real love.
So if a person is kind and "loving" to a homosexual person, but does not at the appropriate time and way confront them with biblical truth, they are not really loving the person at all.

If a person says they have truth but do not have love then their truth is not real truth.
If a preacher pounds the pulpit and yells Bible verses at the homosexual person, but does not love them, then the words he said are only facts, but are not truth.

1 John 1:

1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen [it], and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us; )

3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship [is] with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

No one in this lifetime is 100% perfect and, yes, we all learn from one another. That is Scriptural.

When our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ, we will have fellowship with each other and we will have fullness of joy (no matter our current circumstances).

I think we all have respect for one another, even though we may not agree with each other on minutiae. And when we do not agree, if we keep our hearts focused on Father and His Son, we will not treat our bothers and sisters disrespectfully. The same blood shed to purchase me is the same blood that purchased those with whom I may not agree.

God has called us to a life of love. There is enough venom in this world and I do not want to inflict my brothers or sisters with what they may face when they go out into the world.

Love is patient and kind, love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude, love does not demand its own way, love is not irritable, and love keeps no record of being wronged, love does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out, love never gives up, never loses faith, love is always hopeful, and love endures through every circumstance.

Jesus followed a simple principle. He let everyone speak and put forward their propositions.
That which is hidden will be made known, that which is spoken in secret will be declared for
all to see.

We often want people silenced, voices and positions taken away because we are scared or upset
by them. The Lord wants all of them represented and compared.

Little do sinners realise in the light there is no hiding, there is only clarity. So if you cannot
face any angle of what one holds to or the way one expresses it, there is something wrong.

I used to think the Lord wanted a clear voice for the gospel, but actually the Lord allows us
all to speak as we feel inspired and led, because in the end, His way rules supreme.

Some think this group is evil, that group is to blame, when it is always just us following Him
and shinning the light in the darkness, the rest is literally pipe dreams of sinners.

The echoes of pain, the desire for revenge, the proof that those guys over there will be proved
wrong fade away, when you meet the King and realise we are but servants, parts of His workmanship
to bring glory to His name and His ways, Amen.

Praise the Lord for His grace and love, that He showers on us, Amen.

I think this is a very brave testimony of personal experience and spiritual insight.
Thank you for sharing it with us.
I would also agree that disagreement does not necessarily mean something personally negative is being directed toward the person with whom one disagrees. Humans have ego's and sometimes we feel so right about something that if someone doesn't see it our way we feel like we're wrong in our perspective. And that means we're then wrong in how we're living life believing that way.
Maybe one way to look at that, if it applies, is to consider that disagreement is God sending one of his messengers to widen our understanding and forward our walk in his light.
The bible was inspired by the almighty. Some call this channeling. And God, I believe at least, talks to us all the time. Experiences, people we encounter that challenge us to walk the talk of being in Christ and like him. Thinking before we speak and speaking with or from a place of love.
It is all a journey in the darkness of this world I think. And when we are in the light of Christ as individuals and together as the true church as God intended us to be, Eklesia, we all also walk on the lighted path. Never alone. Not ever.

God and his blessings surround you. And all of us. Amen, and Amen.

Romans 12:14-21

Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. 15Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. 16Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. 17Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. 18If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. 19Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
