Ok. Did the apostles give the gentiles the instruction not to eat meat with blood in it? And is that in the law of Moses?
Paul chastened peter because he refused to eat meat with the gentiles because there were jews there.

So you tell me..

Paul also said that we should not judge people based on what they think they should eat (meat) or about sabbaths (what day they want to worship)

So again, What did he mean?

As for did they or anyone give that specific instruction. I do not remember it if it is there, Maybe you can enlighten me,, But again, I refers you to what paul did in openly calling out peter for refusing to eat meat, and what he said about judging people concerning it.

What scripture calls rabbit-trails:

Titus 3:9
But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless.

Arguments and quarrels about the law.
But all scripture is profitable - - how is this so?
Well, because we're not under the law. We don't study it quibbling about what's legal or not - but how it informs us of Christ.

So it think, the 'rabbit trail' is trying to to see the law in the new testament. The profitable thing, is to see Christ in the scripture. This is the gist of what I've been trying to point out about Acts 15: its not about the law of Moses ; it's about the law of our King: loving one another as Christ loves.

We ought to understand what the Spirit signified by commanding Noah not to eat blood, and that will inform us about what the fulfillment is in righteousness. Simply saying, the Law says, so don't, is both unprofitable for understanding and senseless in that it denies the great work of Christ in redeeming us: we are not under the law.
Is the law "not to eat meat with blood in it" - one of the laws the apostles instructed the gentiles to follow at that council - in the law of Moses?

It's a simple yes or no.

Not trying to overwhelm you, I realize your talking with EG but if you get a chance could you elaborate on the following verses.

1Co 8:9 But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.
1Co 8:10 For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;

The way I see it, Paul is saying that he is at liberty to eat meat that has been offered to idols but he will not eat it as long as a weaker brother is present.

1 Corinthians 11:1
Imitate me, just as I also [imitate] Christ.

Why am I reading a bunch of rigamorole evading a very simple question?

Yes, i identify with and experience the same thing that i read in Romans 7. i do things i do not want to and do not do things i do want to. There is a conflict between my dead old self and will and my new living self and the will of God within me.

Was that so hard?
Do I need to duck the question for 10 pages and play 100 word games pretending to have some moral authority or high road?
Am i afraid to admit that i sin - no not i but sin that dwells in me?

Sheesh.

Who will save me from this body of death??
Say His name ;)

I do not remember it if it is there
Acts 15:1&28-29
And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.

28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;

29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

This is what was instructed by the apostles to gentiles to keep, after salvation, which we can assume was contrary to what they were used to doing prior to conversion (or at least foreign to worldly gentiles).

1. Is this instruction from the apostles of Christ and elders of the Church - not to eat meat with blood in it - found in the law of Moses?

2. Is the instruction a violation of what Paul says in galatians?

This has been the original point I've been hoping to address for days now.

“If ye keep yourselves you shall do well.”

I do not see an insistence that these things must be kept..

Circumcision was commanded by the law. So take this into context and consideration.

And what part in galations are you talking about?

1 Peter 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
1 Peter 1:14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
1 Peter 1:15 But as He which hath called you is holy, SO BE YE HOLY IN ALL MANNER OF CONVERSATION (even finding ourselves Holy Indignant now and again)
1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
We will know them by their fruits, here their fruits are put forth in words, tone, attitude.

1 Peter 1:17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons jUDGETH ACCORDING TO EVERY MAN'S WORK, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear,
1 Peter 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers
1 Peter 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot

1 Peter 2:1 Wherefore laying aside all malice (of a bad nature, not such as it ought to be, injurious, a mode of thinking, feeling, or acting, vicious disposition) , and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, all evil speakings,
1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby

1 Peter 2:15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

1 Peter 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called because Christ also suffered for us, LEAVING US AN EXAMPLE THAT YE SHOULD FOLLOW HIS STEPS
1 Peter 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth

1 Peter 3:8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous
1 Peter 3:9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing (3059 loidoria abuse, railing see 3058 loidoreo properly to say harsh things (make verbal assaults) to revile, to spue bitter statements, using mean spirited, insulting words to demoralize (humiliate) from 3060 loidoros reproach (reviling) used of injuring anothers reputation by denigrating, abusive insults) :) but contrariwise blessing knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
1 Peter 3:10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
1 Peter 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison (all those who had died under the law)

1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God ((JUDGMENT STARTING WITH THE TEACHERS AND PREACHERS OF GODS WORD) and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
1 Peter 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear

What is to stop the OSAS person from being in a continual state of wickedness? Every sin already forgiven, what is one more? That was painless, what is a couple more? That felt good. I will just be like that always, it feels so natural. The flesh certainly is helping as it loves this way. It is exactly as it was "before the saving". Yeah, maybe it really isn't salvation lost. Maybe it is NEVER HAVING BEEN TRULY SAVED. Anyone clearly sees the spirit is not in control nor would it be possible for it to be present because of the constant stream of verbal assaults and abuse, the spewing of bitter statements and using mean spirited , insulting words to demoralize (humiliate), and of course the reproach used of injuring another's reputation by denigrating abusive insults,

"thumbs up, smiley faces, ect of encouragement" Is the what the Blood of Jesus brings about? This is why He gave His life? Is this the Christian of today? The Christian "bullying spirit" condescending, sarcastic, knowledgeable in the word of God, maybe, but void in the loving spirit Luke 6:32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.

Genesis 4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

Sin, opposed to the very nature of the Spirit, so as you progress in life in the Spirit you should be becoming more and more free from it. NOT more of a habit. Are you losing your salvation or have just" never really been saved". Habitual Sin, fruit of the flesh, withering away of life, draw

Don't "lose your salvation" or be one of the "never were saved" be of a Spirit that can abide in Christ. without sin.

You don't see it? I am so sorry. Prayer and repentance and then ask God to enlighten. Please pray and remind God of His promises and your eyes will be opened. Until then I am afraid nothing I post will you see as truth. That is our reality.
