Matthew 19:16-17
Just then, a man came up to Jesus and inquired, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to obtain eternal life?” 17“Why do you ask Me about what is good?” Jesus replied, “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.

Like I've been saying, the gospel of the kingdom is different than the gospel of Christ. They are not the same but are directly tied together.
Acts 16:29-31
29 Calling for lights, the jailer rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 Then he brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

Freedom from bondage to sin is not the same as entering into the kingdom.
Christ preached the gospel of the kingdom wherever he went, but never once did he tell anyone to teach that he was going to die for sins. In fact, he told them to keep it a secret until
after it happened. The gospel of Christ is the good news of what he did on the cross so that we could experience the gospel of the kingdom, everlasting life; so that we finally could obey.
