Great questions by the way.
Thanks! And please stop me/don't hesitate to tell me if you feel like I'm badgering you .. because it's even starting to feel like that to me right now  (and I DEFINITELY do not want to do that)!

Thanks :)

The call of the Father, repentance, a turn to the caller in our minds. Then the first act of pisteuo or surrendered life must be offered.

There is also something to be said about the circumstances we are in before and as we receive the call.

The call could be like a life preserver, which would cause the called to be more aggressive in their turning.
Yes the circumstance was we had no faith to hear Him not seen and therefore no way to understand. or seek after.

Surrender to what or who? Who turns or inspires who to turn? The faithless Jew turned it upside down taking away the turning or understanding of God.

Isaiah 29:16Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?

Hi again @Pisteuo, I think I'll stop with all the questions and try to make my points/try thinking through all of this with you in a different way when I return. I have to go right now though, unfortunately :(

Talk with you again later (or perhaps tomorrow at this point .. Dv) :)

Blessings to you in Christ! (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24)

It just occurred to me that my own story of coming to faith in Christ could be useful at this point, so I'll be sure to give you the condensed version of that and see what you think .. when I return. Now I've ~really~ gotta run
