Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what [is] good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Is this OT requirement also a NT requirement?
It is also a New Testament requirement, for we have to always walk justly for God said be ye holy as I am holy, and we are always to love mercy for love is the fulfilling of the law, and we always have to walk humbly with God for He resists the proud but gives grace unto the humble.
Paul said we do not void out the law through faith, but we establish the law, and the law is spiritual, holy, just, and good, which are the moral laws, laws of love, for they are spiritual laws, not physical laws.
Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Ecc 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Solomon wrote this is the whole duty of man whether Old Testament or New Testament.
For God will judge all things we do on earth whether good or bad, and if bad for the world it will be bad, but if bad for the saints they are forgiven and is good for it is off their record.
We are to fear God.
Pro 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
Pro 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Heb 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
Heb 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
The fear of God is to hate evil, and not want to do it, for all people that do not hate sin will not have it good in the future.
People that want to hold unto sin, and enjoy it, will make excuses that they are alright despite their sins, for the Bible says some have a form of godliness, but deny the power thereof, from such turn away, ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
The Bible says sin separates us from God whether we confess Christ or not, and the Lord knows them that are His, having this seal, for this is what seals the saints, and how they are led of the Spirit, that those that name the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
But many do not want to depart from iniquity which Jesus said not all who say Lord Lord will be able to dwell with Him, for they did not do the will of the Father, for they were workers of iniquity.
Keep His commandments.
1Jn 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
Jesus said if we do not obey Him, and keep His commandments, then we do not love Him, and said why call Me Lord, and do not do the things I say.
But again some people will hold unto sin, and make an excuse.
Which a whole denomination, and belief system came about of people that want to hold unto sin, and enjoy sin, and worldliness, and fleshy pleasures, money, and material things, and then say they are still alright with God.
But Solomon said that to fear God, which is to hate evil, and not want it, and to keep His commandments.
But there are excuses, and false beliefs among many that claim Christ.
Which is why they like OSAS, and to believe that God chose them in the beginning, for they know they sin, and hold unto sin, for they say they cannot abstain from sin testifying of it, so if they believe they can never fall away then their sins cannot condemn them for they cannot fall.
But then because they want to hold unto sin so much, and enjoy sin, they say a terrible thing that God chooses who will be saved, and not saved, without their choice, which means God's kingdom is not true love, and God is not evil to condemn people who have no choice in the matter, especially when God said He is no respecter of persons, and what makes you to differ from another person, and all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and there is no difference between the Jew and the Gentile, so God views all people the same.
And God said He does not want anybody to perish, but to repent, and come to the knowledge of the truth, and be saved, and commands all people everywhere, the whole world, to repent, and acknowledge the truth.
But like the Bible says they are ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth, for they will not let go of the flesh.
