“And we know that God causes everything to work together
for the good of those who love God and are called
according to his purpose for them.” (
Romans 8:28)
These were predestined, called, justified, and glorified (8:29-30).

Those who truly love God obey Him by resisting temptations to sin!

“God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation.
Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God
has promised to those who love Him.” (
James 1:12)
Believers who endure temptation:
● love God
● chose to be obedient to Jesus (see below)
● will receive the crown of (eternal) life

“Temptation comes from our own desires,
which entice us and drag us away.
These desires give birth to sinful actions.
And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.
So, don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters.” (
James 1:14-16)
Believers who do NOT endure temptation:
● will fall into habitual sin
● will receive spiritual (eternal) death …
UNLESS they sincerely repent (stop their habitual sinning).

Those who really love Jesus obey Him
“Those who accept My commandments and obey them
are the ones who love Me.” (
John 14:21)
“All who love Me will do what I say.” (
John 14:23)
“Anyone who doesn’t love me will not obey me.” (
John 14:24)
“When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love” (
John 15:10)
“You are my friends, if you do what I command.” (
John 15:14)
Who gets to heaven who does not love Jesus, who is not His friend,
and who does not obey His commandments?

Slaves of sin -- OR -- slaves of obedience
“… if you present yourselves to anyone as as obedient slaves,
you are slaves of the one whom you obey,
either (slaves) of sin which leads to (eternal) death, OR
(slaves) of obedience leading too righteousness?” (
Romans 6:16)

“… anyone who obeys my teachings will never die!” (John 8:51)

“if you want to receive eternal life,
keep the commandments.” (
Matthew 19:17)

“So, you must live as God’s obedient children.” (1 Peter 1:14)

“Only those who fear the Lord and keep His commandments
have life with God. But there is NO (eternal) life in those
who do not keep His commandments.”

(from “The Shepherd of Hermas”, which was quoted as Scripture by early
Christian leaders such as Irenaeus, Origen, and Clement of Alexandria)

Under Point #1 ^ -

G2564 - kaleó / kalesai / keklēmenous - "to call / invite / name"

G2822 - klétos / klētoi / klētois - "to call / invite / summon"

It is important to notice how EACH of these is used in BOTH the Matthew 22:1-14 passage AND the Romans 8:28,30 verses

[note: the Matthew 22:1-14 passage is referring to the "guests [plural]" of "the wedding FEAST/SUPPER" i.e. the promised and prophesied earthly Millennial Kingdom commencing upon His "RETURN" to the earth,
...whereas the Romans 8 passage is referring to (that which pertains to) "the Church which is His body" (who is not "the guests [plural]"), so there's that distinction to be noted also--not that this makes much difference in how the words are used (re: call/invite)]

[quoting]

"In the NT, 2822 /klētós ("divinely called") focuses on God's general call – i.e. the call (invitation) He gives to all people, so all can receive His salvation. God desires every person to call out to Him and receive His salvation (1 Tim 2:4,5). "Unfortunately, many choose not to – but all can; all don't but all can call out to God for His mercy (not just 'some')" (G. Archer)." [source: Bible Hub]

Since dozens of NT verses are dire warnings about losing salvation,
(or actually gaining eternal death) ... I am sure that OSAS is a false doctrine.

False...........It is not that we LOVED HIM, BUT THAT HE LOVED US AND GAVE HIMSELF FOR US....

Do you guys even study.....no one can even begin to love God until they have been born again from above by faith....and NO ONE can begin to even uderstand the word to be obedient until they have been born again from above by faith and ONGOING sanctification DOES NOT SAVE, keep save, help stay saved, maintain salvation......geesh

You are sure hey.....hilarious.....another one that rejects obvious truth.....

Kept by the power of God
Will lose nothing
Saved to the uttermost
Gifts and calling of God IRREVOCABLE
Eternal life NOT TEMPORAL BASED UPON PREFORMANCE
Sealed UNTO the day of redemption
Leave the 99 to find the one that wandered

You guys reject a plethora of truth while twisting the context of many verses to deny biblical truth....

The only way to ensure salvation is to contritely confess your sins to Jesus who died on the cross as a penalty for these sins, and inviting the Holy Spirit to live in your heart to comfort you and guide you in the life-long repentance process. Yes once saved, always saved because Jesus has not lost a single one that the Father has trusted in His care. Glad to have you onboard with us. Welcome to CC.

Thanks for the Welcome!

It's comforting to see that you understand the red above!
But, what happens to a BAC who goes back into habitual sin?
And what happens to a BAC who stops repenting?

Yes, of course, we have verses such as the blue above.
We have many NT verses that appear to be OSAS ...
if we don't understand what some of the words actually mean.

It might just be worthwhile for everyone to
RECONCILE the so-called OSAS NT verses
with those NT verses which stand against OSAS.

Isn't it ridiculous to stand on dozens of verses
while ignoring and/or rejecting many others?

Ridiculous!

Yes, RECONCILE all of the NT verses together
so they are understandable and believable
and in harmony, etc. --- I have.

God CHASTENS....and that is what happens.....from the loss of reward to forfeiture of physical life.......
I'm not sure if God's chastening has much to do with rewards.
Rewards is not a strong point of mine.
I'm more interested in eternal life.
E.G. are you aware that the crown of life refers to eternal life?
Ditto for the crown of righteousness.
Several NT verses say those who practice righteousness are righteous (in God's eyes).

But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
This would refer to one's initial salvation experience >>> Ephesians 2:8-9.
Nothing to do with works following salvation.

And the verse I cited was written to saved, immersed church members....try again!!

Initially
When believers first receive the Holy Spirit through God’s free gift of mercy/grace,
they receive everything: reconciliation, justification, righteousness,
(positional) sanctification, holiness, salvation … everything!
