Listen - good

Don't listen - bad

I think you nailed it about listening. Another reason why some people just don't belong in relationships. I have been listening all my life and it's time for a break.

O.k., adding to the topic about dating. I think I hear fingernails on the chalkboard....

Being on time - good
Being late - not the greatest.

Don't be too serious.

Don't over compliment.

Don't spend time on the cellphone.

Enjoy the moment!:)

What happens if she isn't comfortable with you picking her up on the first date, and you have drive to the agreed upon destination? Bring a second date?!?! Hmmm, insurance, not bad.

It would be something you could work out , I'm sure. But one thing I know ( I'm 48 and been married to one woman for 25 years ) is that if you don't put yourself in the position to fail, you usually will not. Avoidance temptation / accusation pre-emptively is always the best decision.

Congratulations on 25 years of marriage. Is that the silver anniversary?

I have no idea. You would have to ask my wife !!!
I looked it up, silver is correct. Silver looks superior in my mind, but gold is more expensive. Congratulations. Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy Anniversary.

Double date (as in set a random friend up on a blind date with a random friend of your date), then you can bring a friend and she can bring a friend and everyone has someone around to make them either look good or to be completely honest about them, whichever is preferred.

If that doesn't work, there probably is entertainment value in inviting a bunch of different girls on the same date and watching them fight it out for your affections. I mean they made a TV show on that concept.

I don't think I have the will, or woman connections to make that a possibility. Everyone that is in the dating scene needs lots of prayer, that arena is not for the faint of heart. Where were you? I need some laughs and got lost in the Bible Study Forum...looks like fighting and some smart people in there. My Bible knowledge is probably at the 6th grade level at best, some people are straight wizards of Bible knowledge.

I have learned from experience not to stray out of the singles forum. Not to go into the Bible Debate forum and not to go into the normal dating scene either.

"Bible Debate Forum" nice! I met a few good posters in there. Debate and slander forum, with a touch a fellowship would be my experience. Singles Forum is really the dating game with a few laughs thrown in. I now remember why my breaks from CC last for about a year. Oh well, try to focus on the positive experiences and hopefully bring a new perspective to some.

My current visit is about up at CC, I feel the wolf hounds are on my scent. Definitely got some laughs, fellowship, and Bible reading in; Which was my goal.

The dating scene is incredible complicated and ruthless. You had your share of fun????

If by fun you mean the peace and emotional stability that comes with being wise enough to stay out of modern dating altogether then I've had more than my share. If by fun you mean you think there's anything enjoyable about the stress, pressure, and often isolation inherent in modern dating relationships then I think we need to come to a common definition of fun.

I actually said this - if you can believe it. It just popped out, but a good friend and I were out and she was wearing some really unusual earrings. They were real long and looked like a stick of wood and had silvery things dangling off of it and they rattled! She asked me what I thought of them and I said they looked like bass lures.

It didn't go well....
