I'm looking for evidence from Acts 1:1 to Jude 1:25 which proves that EVERYONE in the early church who have been baptized by one Spirit into one body spoke in tongues and prophesied, but I cannot find it.

In Acts 2:41, nothing is mentioned about these 3,000 converts speaking in tongues and prophesying. In Acts 4:4, nothing is mentioned about these 5,000 converts speaking in tongues and prophesying. In Acts 8:36-40, nothing is mentioned about the Ethiopian eunuch speaking in tongues and prophesying. In Acts 16:14-15, nothing is mentioned about Lydia speaking in tongues and prophesying. In Acts 16:30-34, nothing is mentioned about the Philippian jailor or his household speaking in tongues and prophesying. hmm.. :cautious:

I am not meaning this is an insulting way so please note...😉

What you all who are resisting this is failing to see, is that God is creating Spiritual children in His image. He is Spirit. We who are born again are now Spirit. I didn’t see this until a minister came to our home that we were hosting for meetings, and he said these simple words to me. We are Spirit.

We walk as supernatural beings on this earth. Has any of you been transported to another place like Philip to preach?

The last days church will be greater than the former with or without you. But, no one can do anything of worth without Him.

I hope I live long enough to see.

If you tear out the scriptures out of Mark, then you tear out of the recording of the acts of Jesus because this is how He moved. He’s our pattern in every way.

Which the baptism of the Holy Spirit produces. No Holy Spirit baptism no new life in Christ. One must be quickened from dead in trespass and sin to be made alive unto eternal life by the Holy Spirit.

I wasn't talking about the gift of tongues or prophecy in general being complicated. I was making a distinction between two workings of the Holy Spirit. Being "baptized by one Spirit into one body" in 1 Corinthians 12:13 and being "filled" with the Holy Spirit that resulted in speaking in tongues in Acts 2:4. By "labeling" being "filled" with the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues as "baptism of the Holy Spirit" sounds like you are confusing the two workings. Also, when I quoted 1 Corinthians 12:30 in which the apostle Paul asked the question, "Do all speak with tongues" in which the answer to that rhetorical question is "NO," yet you stated - "do all speak with tongues is listed with the gifts." o_O That is making it complicated.

After hearing testimonies from numerous former Pentecostals who have been involved in countless charismatic influences and some which have attended meetings involving the “Prophetic Movement,” I proceed with caution. In certain conferences such people have mentioned they were taught how to prophesy to people. They called it being "activated." Some had made trips to Toronto for “Catch The Fire” conferences, in which the well known “Toronto Blessing” supposedly took place. So from the Toronto blessing, to the Brownsville revival, and other places they mentioned, they claimed there were no miracles, no gifts, no healings, nothing but the theatrical antics and delusions of men and was nothing more than musical hype and psychologically induced emotionalism. Testimonies such as these, along with those who overemphasize or even abuse spiritual gifts to the point of perverting the gospel by teaching that if you have not spoken in tongues, you have not yet received the Holy Spirit and won't be saved certainly raises a red flag for me!

Now don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that there are no miracles today or gifts or healings, but there are some deceptive movements out there within Pentecostal circles who have perverted charismatic influences and the gospel itself! My friend who is a Pentecostal and attends an Assemblies of God church has mentioned that "certain" Pentecostals are "out of balance" in their view of spiritual gifts and some are dangerous false teachers, such as Oneness Pentecostals for example.
The church begins individually, with repentance and turning to God through the gospel of the blood sacrifice on the Cross. The message of John still prepares the way. The first act is water baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, who declares Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The preparation then is the empowerment for life in Christ which we call the baptism of Holy Spirit.

Most churches today stop at the Cross and don’t proceed to resurrection life, nor do they teach one can.

When Holy Spirit manifests in meetings things happen that include emotions. We will react. But, miracles are happening too. Some will testify at the meeting, some go home and begin to tell of it.

That’s what you are being told about but it’s by one with a critical spirit and isn’t seeing what’s happening along with what looks like emotionalism.

That’s what men saw at Pentecost’s beginning. They said they are drunk. Until Peter began to speak in power.

If you ever hear someone speak this way, you will declare this is God! Unless you are of the wicked one.

I did the same for a time. I resisted...until He touched me too.

Each time you all criticize the move of Holy Spirit, you are like the words of Jesus who says you won’t go in yourself, and you keep others from entering too.

Sorry..

I guess we could see it differently yet lets see if Wisdom is just given or if it has a beginning “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding” it would seem this would be something that must be gone after also. Would you agree? And I would have to include the gift of prophesy as public speaking is learned by many.
Preaching is not prophesying.

I went back a bunch of pages so its been a little bit since this was put out and I thought I would just throw it out there again.

Born again and speaking in tongues.

There is the "speaking in tongues" that comes from the Holy Spirit which is one tongue and there is the gift of tongues which is another. The ability to easily learn and speak many different languages to teach the Word is the gift of tongues. A gift I received NONE of. Those who receive this gift are unaware of how special it is (from what I have experienced). Example of NONE = You take the same language course twice and get worse the 2nd time. You go stay in the country and can barely get by. Your parent born and raised and fluent speaks on the phone a couple days every week and you can still barely say hello.
When you have this gift you may have an interpreter and don't speak long (cause it is hard on the one listening) and you teach FROM the word of God. There is no babel, no confusion, there is no unintelligible language going on. God is not the author of confusion. He does not speak in secret.

The Holy Spirit speaking through someone. EVERY PERSON who hears it HEARS IT not only in their own native tongue, but also with the "accent" familiar to them. So if there are 27 different people from 27 different countries who speak 27 different languages, all of them hear the exact same Words receive the exact same message, at the exact same time, all from the Holy Spirit .

I know been discussed a couple hundred times by now but couldn't help myself.
I disagree also. Would red x it but I don’t like that symbol. We need something else for the word disagree. We can disagree with others but still love.

This is right, in the letters to the Corinthians we are dealing with a non miraculous gift of the ability to speak in various languages a gift which Paul stated he had and other people in the congregation had as well.

It’s not complicated. Our prayer language is speaking to God. The gift of tongues is speaking to man or a fellowship.

The first is prayer. The second is a prophetic word or message. Equal to prophecy as giving a message, but less than prophecy because it takes more faith to step out in your native language than it does to speak in your Spiritual.

It’s not confusing when you move in them.
Did you ever try to find out how many percentage of prophecies spoken in
Without the Spirit of Christ, none are born again. Without the Spirit of Father, none has the same power that Jesus moved in.
What please is the different between the Spirit of Christ and the Spirit of the father?
And please show me any living person who has the same power then Jesus had.

If you read 1.John3,2 , then you will know that we are spiritual beeings, but this will revealed when Jesus comes back.

We don,t need to tear the words of God in Mark or the book of Acts, we just need to rightly divide in order to understand. Just asking are you saying all born again became "Spirit"? Any bible verse for this? Thanks

At least admit to yourself that you cannot answer correctly. You give a non-answer because you do not have sufficient understanding of what the bible says regarding how we are saved.

Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Your welcome.
