And...you found what? Why wouldn't you post what you found?
Here:

Hi, I received your comment and want to explain exactly why we do this. According to Jewish law and tradition, the various names for our Creator are all considered holy and must be treated with the utmost respect. If there is a paper with the name written out in full, then it cannot be thrown away, but actually we take all such papers and bury them properly in the ground and keep them separate from other things (see Proper Disposal of Holy Objects). Clearly many readers print out our material. We cannot have a situation where they read the article and then throw it in the garbage with the word with the "o" as that is disrespecting His holy name. It is therefore traditional to insert the dash so that there is no issue.

Why "G‑d" instead of "G-o-d"? - Questions & Answers

Now........go away and quit pretending to be a teacher of the Word

oh I actually agree baptism is required. s

o you judge me too harshly , however I always look for all answers and do not shut out things.

we need to look at what if someone gives their heart to Jesus and beleives , but dies before they get water baptised. There will be many exceptions where people are not water baptised and die, and also not holy spirit baptised and die.
G-d knows what is in our hearts at time of death.
If that point was the case many Christians would be lost for the last sin on their garment at death. G-d is most understanding.

IF someone repents, confesses their sins, and asks Christ to become Lord of their lives, they ARE baptized with the precious blood of Christ which cleanses them of their sins BY the Holy Spirit.

Y'all can deny all y'all want........one day y'all will face Him and then there won't be anything but the gnashing of teeth and crying for the mountain to fall upon you and cover you
Absolutely we are washed,

But the bible at Pentecost describes the baptism of the Holy Spirit . whilst JEsus was on Earth he couldn't send the comforter he said. So no one was baptised in holy spirit until the day of pentecost.

would seem only one part of God on earth at any time . maybe

Baptists have believed in salvation by grace alone, and baptism only of adult believers who have already made a saving profession of faith ever since the denomination first originated in the 1600's.

AFAIK they have never believed in baptismal regeneration. they have always believed in immersive baptism as one of two ordinances ((not sacraments)), along with the Lord's supper, always rejected pedobaptism, and always believed that both ordinances were not in and of themselves salvific but were meant to be taken part in by those who are regenerate -- regenerate by faith, not works.

i dunno what weird pseudo-baptist church you went to in the 1950's or whether, being a youth then, you were either misinformed or misunderstood the message. H20 does not save. rites do not save. Jesus saves, and He does so according to belief.
You are wrong. ...and with the other comments...you need to study the Bible.
You can state ...all you wish...I am looking for proof. I am looking for a document(s) of proof..... for 1600's.....?

That is an opinion. Please show me factual proof.

Again, my findings so far says it has been a re-interpretation of scriptures since the 1960's.

Prove that wrong.
The whole dealing in the outward visible baptism of water, setteth before the eyes, witnesseth and signifieth, the Lord Jesus doth inwardly baptize the repentant, faithful man, in the laver of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Ghost, washing the soul from all pollution and sin, by the virtue and merit of his bloodshed; and by the power and working of the Holy Ghost, the true, heavenly, spiritual, living Water, cleanseth the inward evil of the soul, and maketh it heavenly, spiritual, and living, in true righteousness or goodness. Therefore, the baptism of water leadeth us to Christ, to his holy office in glory and majesty; and admonisheth us not to hang only upon the outward, but with holy prayer to mount upward, and to beg of Christ the good thing signified.

Must have missed your first comment. I agree about Pentecost being the beginning of Holy Spirit baptism. Sorry for missing your point on that. STILL, water baptism does NOT provide salvation for anyone. You may or may not agree with that.

Adrian Rogers.

When Christ said: Today shalt thou be with me in paradise

Christ is God the Son, and nothing is impossible for God

What he wasn't was water baptized

Info for ROGERS FANS... i AM ALWAYS SUSPECT OF MEGA PREACHERS...except Billy Graham;

"Adrian Rogers, False Teacher

He sadly taught the following:

We’re talking about a person who has received Christ into his heart by faith, who has become a partaker of the divine nature, who has been twice born, who has received the new birth. This person can never, ever, ever again be a lost soul.

(How You Can Be Sure You Are Eternally Secure, audio-tape RA-1728, part 1, 8/1/93).

His statement is typical for a Southern Baptist “pastor”, which Adrian Rogers was. His doctrine implies that NO SIN, regardless what it may be, or becoming a heretic could ever produce spiritual death. This is wrong.

Here's another statement from the Southern Baptist Convention's homepage (which Adrian Rogers was the president of):

All true believers endure to the end. Those whom God has accepted in Christ, and sanctified by His Spirit, will never fall away from the state of grace, but shall persevere to the end. Believers may fall into sin through neglect and temptation, whereby they grieve the Spirit, impair their graces and comforts, and bring reproach on the cause of Christ and temporal judgments on themselves; yet they shall be kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation.

Please show scriptural proof?
The Biblical formula given was:
1. Repent
2. Believe
3. Be baptized

You may argue through assumption that the saved thief had been water baptized prior to his crucifixion, since many had been going to John the Baptist, but it is not stated whether he was or not, and we know he was not baptized after his confession of faith, before he died. Was John's a saving baptism? John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. He stated that the One coming after him would baptize with the Holy Spirit. We know that because it is explicitly stated.

I am looking for a document(s) of proof..... for 1600's.....?
"For baptism is not washing with water: but it is the baptism of the Spirit, the confession of the mouth, and the washing with water: how then can any man without great folly wash with water which is the least and last of baptism, one that is not baptized with the Spirit, and cannot confess with the mouth: or how is it baptism if one be so washed"

have recently been made aware that the Baptist denomination has re-interpreted the Bible to say that baptism is not necessary for salvation, even though scripture says ...very clearly...it is required.

The scriptures nowhere say that.

A person can receive the Spirit before baptism, or after baptism.
The book of Acts presents a TRANSITIONAL PERIOD where there were exceptions to the rule. But the truth of the matter is that Holy Spirit baptism PRECEDES water baptism.

Here is the Scripture passage that gives us THE TRUE SEQUENCE on events:

EPHESIANS 1
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

FIRST THE GOSPEL IS PREACHED
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation:...

THEN SAVING FAITH IS GENERATED
...in whom also after that ye believed...

THEN THE BAPTISM AND SEALING WITH THE SPIRIT TAKES PLACE
...ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance...

THEN ULTIMATE PERFECTION AND GLORIFICATION
...until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
