I'm against tattoos for several reasons. While we are not under the law, it says clearly we should not get them. Leviticus certainly says it is wrong to get them. Although, your motivate of covering up a bad tattoo has merit. Sometimes God says things in the OT, and they are based on actuAl reasons. Like not eating pork, because of
Trichinosis!
Second, my RA physiotherapist has Psoriatic Arthritis, similar to RA. She told me she has 2 small tattoos, and a few piercings besides her ears. She did a lot of research, and there is a lot of evidence to support tattoos and piercings triggering these serious autoimmune diseases. (I got my ears pierced at 18. No tattoos!) so while I don't think that it triggered my RA, anyone with autoimmune disease in their family should not get it. All those chemicals and toxic inks simply cannot be good for the body. And the toxicity would be every day for the rest of your life.
No one in my family, immediate, and extended, has a tattoo. They simply aren't considered to be something we do! In other words, tattoos are in bad taste. In my family, at least!
Finally, I personally think tattoos are ugly, esp. when they turn to that ugly shade of green. The more and bigger they get, the uglier. I like to change my earrings all the time. I can't imagine putting something in your body that was stuck there forever.
As for the OP, I think your best option would be removal or a skin coloured one to cover it. Although, that would mean more ink in your body. I hope you figure it out.
