There is none that are good by God's standard. There are none that cannot believe in fact all believe. They simply do not want to believe what they know to be true about God. Their desire is to create a god that suits their image of what and who God should be. They are all liars. They know it and God knows it.

With that attitude, I doubt you will leave an impression on true skeptics. We need to understand their skepticism and address that instead of beating them over the head with the word. We need to humbly draw back sometimes and let God work out His plan for them.

Once we get into the mindset that God is not trying to save the world, right now, we will become more effective as witnesses. Sometimes we can witness against you, or your stance, and still witness to you. Catch my drift? Sometimes we need to just shake the dust from our feet and move on. :cautious:

Interesting concept and statement; good talking point.

God is not trying to save the world, He is saving sinners OUT OF this doomed world that is scheduled for destruction. It is a condemned house.

Can someone define a “Evangelical” please. The various groups still confuse me...

Looking online I don’t see anything wrong with these 4 core statements. Wouldn’t even Spurgeon match all 4 of these?

“The NAE/LifeWay Research method includes four statements to which respondents must strongly agree to be categorized as evangelical:
  • The Bible is the highest authority for what I believe.
  • It is very important for me personally to encourage non-Christians to trust Jesus Christ as their Savior.
  • Jesus Christ’s death on the cross is the only sacrifice that could remove the penalty of my sin.
  • Only those who trust in Jesus Christ alone as their Savior receive God’s free gift of eternal salvation.”

Have you ever asked yourself why that is? Why does God predict His failure of being unable to save most of this world's people?

We are observing the logical outcome and result of God's giving a freewill choice to men. He knew from the very beginning the way things would turn out.

The point being there are no true skeptics. God's word always accomplishes that which He intends. His word always convinces of sin, righteousness and judgment. Men turn from the truth God never turns toward the darkness.

Evangelicals find honest skeptics a threat to their faith. So they disingenuously try to remove the threat by imputing intellectual dishonesty to honest seekers who just find the evidence for evolution for more convincing than what they perceive as crude and implausible biblical creation myths and who view the Bible as full of contradictions, historical errors, and legends. Most of them have never seen a provable miracle and they reason that if God can't do it now, there is no reason to believe that He performed even greater miracles in ancient Israel. They look at the lives of professing Christians and see no evidence of spiritual transformation that warrants further investigation. Such honest skeptics create problems for the wannabe Christian witness, but the potential to lead them to Christ must begin with a humble acknowledgement that we often have no idea why they can't experience the Holy Spirit drawing them to Himself.
What is an "honest skeptic"?

........u not craze bout Evangelicals r u?........

Free will choice according to whose will? He knew from the very beginning the way things would turn out.

Would not be that he gave them his will and worked in them to both will and do His good pleasure? Cause and effect? God gave salvation not choices. Adam had that choice and experienced it.

Все будет прощено и сохранено.
No, everything will not be forgiven and be saved. Only the faithful will be saved. Revelation chapters 6 thru 18 is a detailed account of God's coming wrath. With just first four seals and the 6th trumpet, a fourth and a third respectively, this will equal well over half the earths population killed within the first 3 1/2 years of that seven year period. There will be a great white throne judgment where all of the unrighteous dead throughout all of history will be resurrected with their spirits released from Sheol/Hades, judged and then thrown into the lake of fire. So, I don't know who you can say everything will be forgiven and saved.

And I saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide. 12I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. The sea gave up its dead, and death and the graveb gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds. Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death. And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.

Ahwatukee,
re: "Those who do not trust in Christ as the One who paid the penalty for their sins, will end up paying the penalty for their own sins."

Any thoughts on what that penalty might be?

ETERNAL SEPARATION from GOD
Since they didn’t choose CHRIST they don’t belong to him and In making this choice and GOD gave Everyman the ability to make his choice they will go to the same place GOD PREPARED for the adversary.

That last statement will be a sticking point for those that believe In works salvation.
