Q: did Jesus die on the cross between two thieves?
What caused you to question the Gospel narrative which plainly says that Christ was crucified between two malefactors (criminals who may have been more than just petty thieves)?

He was crucified w/ 2 but He died with only one. The other was cleansed. He died for both but only one hid in the shadow of His wings
Rom. 8:1-2 & 33
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death
33: Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.

Very true.

And in the thief who came to faith, all the gospel is proclaimed, faith, repentance, confession,
hope, expectation, and the Lords promise along with good works, testimony of faith to others.

Before Christ we’re all under the penalty of death
After Christ we’re all made alive.
Who can lay charge to God’s elect..

My answer to the OP is, yes, but there may likely have ALSO been two other "malefactors/criminals/EVIL-WORKERS[/EVIL-DOERS]" crucified along with these, at the same time. I posted a brief post on that on April 24, Post #98,744 (Page 4938 in the "Not By Works" thread):

https://christianchat.com/threads/not-by-works.146296/post-3912493

… additionally of note, the differences between the words "G2813/2812 - klepto/kleptai [thief]" and "G3027 - lestes/lestai [robber]" Matt27:38, Mk15:27, to that of "G2557 - kakourgon [malefactor/criminal/EVIL-WORKER/EVIL-DOER]" Lk23:32,33,39-40 (which latter word is also used of Paul in 2Tim2:9).

Matthew 27:38 - the rebels were crucified, one on his right, one on his left

Mark 15:27 they crucified two rebels, one on his right and one on his left

Luke 23:33 - they crucified him there, along with the criminals -one on his right, the other on his left

John 19:18 - there they crucified him, and with him two others, one on each side and Jesus in the middle

The answer is yes

It is the first physical death we are told of that resulted in going to heaven that very day. Before that, all through the OT the death of the saints was spoken of as sleep or going to be with the Fathers.

At the crucifixion the curtain at the temple was split and such as Moses became alive so they were seen in the town. The two thieves teach us about the two kinds of death we can have today.

First, welcome to CC.

Second, given your opening post (OP) and the post quoted here, it seems that you intentionally asked a baited question with the intention to "correct" people with your response. I suggest that instead of trying a backhanded method of engaging with people, that you be straightforward. Nobody asked you to be the teacher. Just be a regular person. We need more of those around here. : )

hey there's another verse in Romans..

Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with Him.
(Romans 6:8)

That still does not change the fact of who all were on the crosses.
